Ahem first reaction was shock not mad by seeing gopi's face first thing in the morning. He politely asked her what she wanted to say and irritated the second time saying go on. It means that he is
deliberately attempting to be polite with her apart his nature. A small sign to indicate that he was closing the distances he created.
so does this mean that Ahem was waiting for opening up until gopi complete her exam, he knew she gets distracted easily so tough man act was to make her study whereas he is waiting desperately to let her finish the exam so he can move advance his step furhter.
And next was definetly he was impressed the moment she opened her mouth. He dint need it to conform her words by listening. He already knew that if she said she studied then she did it. so Ahem trusted her words rather than her actions.
After impression definetly the care, he dint want her to get sick by waking up all night, a slight scolding like his mother does which shows care and authority the same time. Dis was how koki started the realation with gopi so is ahem follwong the same steps his mother did?
