'I'm a die hard romantic'.ekta kapoor

2009 was a terrible year for us but I learnt a lot that year. I've always had this fear in me. What would life be like if I wasn't number 1 on television? But I've learnt to overcome that fear. 

Recession was a good time to diversify. We started exploring different horizons and that gave Balaji supreme innings. I'm very happy to be the same person, have the same set of cool friends and live my life on my own terms in spite of the setbacks.

I've been able to chart out my professional life. But I can never chart out my personal one. Everyone around me wants to find me a husband… Frankly I'm least bothered. People find it hard to believe but I'm a diehard romantic - a hopeful romantic. Everyone believes or perceives me to be a ruthless cynic but far from it. My all time favourite is Yash Raj's Dil Toh Paagal Hai. I honestly believe there's someone somewhere for me...

For the moment however all my emotions are going into my shows and films. But a couple of years from now, I'll be ready to put everything aside for a prolonged honeymoon. Right now, I'm having a good time. Let me enjoy my work for a couple of more years and leave an indelible mark.
