The sun rose over St. Louis as rey was sitting in the rehearsal hall. he had hardly slept the previous night, cursing himself over and over...and he was still furious. he didn't know who he was more mad at, sharon, vicky, swayam or himself. sharon started the whole thing...it was her fault that kriya slapped him, but vicky and swayam had known it. they had even known how much rey liked kriya, then why didn't they stop him from being so rude to her?
'but,' a tiny voice inside him whispered in his ear 'swayam did tell try to tell you. he wanted you to sort all this out with kriya. but you were too busy trying to sort out your wounded ego to pay attention to him' And the feeling he had been trying to avoid since last night hit his heart like a bullet. it was all his fault. and with that he stood up and thought: "meine kriya ke saath jo kuch bhi kiya us baad to wo mujhe kabhi bhi maaf nahi kare gi. par phir bhi, mein usse sorry zaroor kahon ga. haa, misunderstanding to usse bhi hoi thi, par meine uske saath jo kiya woh bohat galat tha."

kriya was looking for rey. RDX had had told her to find rey and tell him to come to his office. kriya glanced at her watch and said: "RDX sir ko bhi bas mein hi mili thi? dance practice ka time zaya hota jaa raha hai aur ye rey hai keh pata nahi kahan chup kar betha hai." she paused for a second and then said "reyaansh. rey nahi, reyaanch hai woh."
mixed in her thoughts, she hadn't noticed rey coming behind her but neha, who was coming from the other way, did see him. she gasped as she saw rey swiftly running up to kriya, gently taking her hand and pulling her into the fire escape.
neha was in shock for a second smiling and saying: "what chuppa rustum you are, kriya. and how romantic this is," she scrowled slightly before adding. "aur woh dewaana, neha ko dekh kar frozen statue. what maddening he is!"
and with that, she stalked off.

in the fire escape, kriya pulled her hand away from rey, not looking surprised in the least. kriya: " mujhe pata tha ke aap hi hogey. bolo, kya bolna hai." she waited with an air superior impatience.
rey: " chubbylal tumse maafi maangna chahta."
kriya's expression softened at the mention of chubbylal, but then hardened again almost instantly. " aghar ye aapki, yaani reyaansh singhania ki nai chaal hai to please woh meri nazar mein chubylal ki pachi hui respect ko na mitaye."
rey: "listen, ram--"
kriya, her eyes flashing: "agar aapko mujhse koi baat karni hai to aap kar saktey hai, par ramaira jaa chuki hai. humesha humesha ke liye."
rey: "par kyun?"
kriya: "kyun ke us ne kisi par bharosa kiya tha. usse laga ke shayad woh insaan uska dost nahi hai, par kuch to bond hai unke beech. par jhalli thi woh. bewakoof. kyunke us insaan ne us ka sab ke saamne tamasha bana kar rakh diya."
rey, looking very uncomfortable under kriya's glare: "ye bhi to ho sakta hai ke usse ek misunderstanding hui ho. chubbylal ko pata hi nahi tha keh ramaira ki sab ke saamne insult hui thi. wo usse phool dene jaa raha tha ke ramaira ne usse thapad maar diya."
kriya stood there, shocked at this point of view of the story but she recovered quickly: "hum is baarey mein baad mein baat karein ge. abhi ke liye, RDX sir aap ko bula rahe hai." as kriya turn to leave, something strange happened. she suddenly felt/wished that rey was going to stop her...call her, grab her hand or anything but when was nothing happened, she went on.
behind her, rey's hand was still outstretched. for a fleeting moment he had been about to take her hand and stop her but then he had thought that maybe kriya needed some time.
" chalo, us baatcutter se baat karke thoda behtar to lag raha hai. let's see, ab RDX mujhe kyun bula raha hai."
