Star Plus  continues to lead; Sony sees an 11-point jump

Second-in-command Colors is just one point less from the previous week, garnering 252 GRPs during the given period, while its relative share for the week is 19.6 per cent. In Week 27, the relative share stood at 19.3 per cent.

Star Plus, the flagship Hindi general entertainment channel (GEC) from the STAR stable, continues to lead the category for the week ended July 9, 2011. The channel has however lost two points during the week to stand at 309 GRPs, while its relative share has moved up from 23.8 per cent, to 24.1 per cent in Week 28 (TAM, C&S 4+, HSM).


Second-in-command Colors is just one point less from the previous week, garnering 252 GRPs during the given period, while its relative share for the week is 19.6 per cent. In Week 27, the relative share stood at 19.3 per cent.

At No. 3, Zee TV is at 193 GRPs, after losing 12 points over the previous week. Its relative share saw a decline from 15.7 per cent in Week 27, to 15 per cent in Week 28.

Meanwhile, the No. 4 GEC, Sony, has witnessed an 11-point jump from 173 GRPs, to 185 GRPs. Its relative share has also increased from 13.2 per cent, to 14.3 per cent in Week 28.

Sibling channel SAB, at the fifth position, has scored 131 GRPs in Week 28. Its relative channel share is stable at 10.2 per cent for the week.

At No. 6, Imagine TV lost three points during the week, to score 104 GRPs. Its relative share is also stable at 8.1 per cent. STAR One, with 36 GRPs and a channel share of 2.8 per cent, follows it.

Sahara One is at No. 8. The channel's relative share and GRPs have dipped marginally to 2.3 per cent (2.6 per cent in the previous week), and 30 GRPs (34 GRPs in the previous week), respectively.

Sahara Utsav and DD1 have garnered relative shares of 2 per cent and 1.2 per cent, respectively.

Pavitra Rishta (Zee TV) leads the list of the 10 most-watched programmes, clocking a TVR of 5.28, followed by Swayamvar Season-3 Ratan Ka Rishta (Imagine TV) and Balika Vadhu (Colors), with TVRs of 5.1 and 4.96, respectively.

The fourth most-watched programme is Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, with 4.93 TVR. Uttaran (4.71 TVR) and Pratigya (4.17 TVR) follow next. Saathiya Saath Nibhana, Bade Achhe Lagte Hain, Ram Milayi Jodi and Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah are also part of the Top 10 list.

I didn't know ratan ka rishta was so popular, maybe it's because of Ram kapoor ahah

It's good that Balh is in top 10.

It's sadden me to see Imagine placed before Sony in the channel list when none of its serials are in top 10 like Balh !
