Part 6
Anant reaches the kitchen and prepares milk for himself with a light smile on his face. He goes in to the hall looking at his glass when he looks up to see his elder brother looking at him. Manoj says, 'Anant, tum, Anant Vajpayee dudh pee rahe ho?' Anant is embarrassed and does not say anything. He goes and sits next to Manoj unable to meet his eyes. He just quietly starts to sip the milk but is unhappy doing so. Manoj says, 'Kiski baat sunkar yeh kar rahe ho?' Anant is still looking down and Manoj continues, 'Bohot khaas hogi ke jo ladke ne apni maa ka kaha nahi maana woh uski baat sun raha hai.' Anant is shocked and looks up saying, 'Bhaiyya... aisa...' Manoj smiles sadly and says, 'Anant, tujhe kya lagta hai ke maine college mein kuch nahi dekha? Duniya dekhi hai maine aur tujhe bhi dekh raha houn. Jo ladayi tu mann hi mann larh raha hai uska nateeja janta hai na?' Anant is taken aback by his brother's direct approach and says, 'Kya?' Manoj places his hand on Anant's shoulder and says, 'Haar mere bhai, haar. Do pal chhup kar baat, kuch lamhon ki mulaqaat se zindagi aage nahi barhti. Tum waqt chura rahe ho lekin tumhe yeh waqt ko haasil karna hai, Anant.' Anant is able to get his brother's signal but wants to be sure and says, 'Bhaiyya, main baba ka virodh...?'
Navya is gaping at Anant in shock and he says, 'Bhoot kaha hai, Navya? Aise kyun dekh rahi ho?' Navya is struggling to find words and says, 'Anant... Yeh... Mmain?' Anant rolls his eyes and says, 'Haan Navya, tum! Zindagi mein kabhi kabhi barhe kadam uthane parhte hai aur agar tum apni behen ke liye nahi kar paayi toh khud ke liye toh kabhi nahi kar paogi.' Navya is confused with his statement and says, 'Lekin mujhe khade hone ki kya zaroorat hai?' Anant says, 'Main keh raha houn, iss liye. Is that a good reason?' Navya does not say anything and Anant smiles. Navya is surprised and says, 'Tum muskura kyun rahe ho?' Anant sits next to her and says, 'Bataoun?' Navya nods and Anant says, 'Manzil jab dhundhli ho toh dil mein darr aur uncertainty rehti hai. Ek baar manzil saaf nazar aaye toh darr kaisa, Navya?' Navya is looking down and asks, 'Toh tumhe manzil dikh gayi?' Anant is looking at her endearingly and gently says, 'Dekh toh raha houn.' Navya's head snaps to look at him when he quickly turns his head towards his car and says, 'Meri car. Jis mein tumhe mere saath chalna hai.' Navya starts to hesitate when Anant stands up and puts his hand out. He says, 'Main tumhare saath houn, Navya. Ab bhi darr lag raha hai.' She looks at his face and sees her fear ebbing away. She takes his hand and walks to the car thinking, 'Mujhe aisa kyun lag raha hai ke meri zindagi ki daud mere haath mein nahi hai. Yeh Anant kya kar raha hai?'
