Part 8
Geet woke up early next morning and got ready as she was excited of going to the office. The only thing that Geet could do all day was work because one she was experienced and two that she actually enjoyed doing it. She had breakfast and left with Pinky. She arrived at Khurana Constructions early so she could set a good impression to her boss. She met Adi.
Adi: Hi
Geet: Hello sir...didn't know you worked here!
Adi: Yeh well...ab tho tumme pata challa. I think that you diserved the post.
Geet: Thanks...
Adi: (Yeh thanks tho kisi aur ko jata hai!) Come...I will show you your cabin.
They walk into her cabin. She loved it, it was spacious and had two sofas.
Adi: Wo sir ka cabin hain...the one next to yours...so if he needs anything then it will be easier for you to come in and out. We all have an hour's lunch! I hope pinky has shown you the kitchen?
Geet: Haan...wo ussne dikha diatha.
Adi: Your 30 minutes early which is good but boss 9 o'clock yaha pochte hain.
Geet: Ok
Adi: Hope your day goes well.
Geet: i hope it does too. ( Adi leaves her cabin!)
In the meantime Geet gives a call to Annie which is now back in London.
Geet: Hi mujhe job milgayi!
Annie: Thats great kaha..
Geet: Some company called Khurana Contructions. I am the secretary.
Annie: (Usse itni saari companies main se yahi company milli thi kya? Challo acha hain...bhai ki company hain...that means I will not have to worry about her! She will be well looked after!) what did you say about your qualifications?
Geet: Don't worry...I said I didn't have any but I am a quick learner.
Annie: They just hired you like that...
Geet: Yhh...I was confused about that too that how how can you hire someone without having any qualifications but I am here...ab dekhitoon kya hota hain.
Annie: Cool...have fun working and stay away from the media...2 months kit ho baat hain!
Geet: Haan but it feels like I am going to enjoy it! Bye
Annie: Bye
Geet puts down the phone and realises that the boss will be arriving any moment. She goes into his cabin and starts to tidy the files on his desk so that he has a clean desk when he comes into th office.
Meanwhile...Maan is walking into office.
Sasha: Aapki naayi secretary aa gayi hain...if you want I could call her..
Maan: No thats fine...I will talk to her myself.
Tasha: Sasha...I mean maam...aaj DD kitne hot lagrahe hain na?
Sasha: (Glares at her and walks away into her cabin)
Maan walks into his cabin...and looks at Geet busy in tidying his desk. He looks at her her hair which is teasing her face because of open windows. He looks at her green dress that she is wearing.
Maan: (Comes close to her silently and clears his throat. Geet turns around and bumps into maan when maan holds her by the waist)
MAHI...MAHHHII...MAHI MAHI MAHI VE...
(They share a cute eyelock and come out of trance. They straighten themselves)
Geet: Aap? Yaha?
Maan: Haan main...
Geet: Aap yaha kya kar rahe hain?
Maan: Actually...yeh mera cabin hain aur yeh mera office hain
Geet: Par yaha tho kisi MSK...
Maan: Maan Singh Khurana
Geet: Ohh sorry sir'(Geet looks down'a little embarassed)
Maan: Ab thum batou...tum mere cabin main kya kar rahi ho?
Geet: Main..umm..haan main apki naayi secretary hun...aur maine aap ka desk dekha with so much paperwork tho maine socha ki main thoda tidy kar du...per sorry agar kuch...
Maan: It's okay...
Geet: Ek minute...jab hum disc main mille the ... tho maine aap ko bataya tha ki mera ek interview thaw o bhi Khurana Constructions main tho aap ne bataya kyun nayi ki aap hi MD ho?
Maan: Wo...I didn't want to disappoint you that if you didn't get the job then...
Geet: Ohh...dont worry.
Maan: Ab miss secretary aap thode der ke liye bharr jayengi...
Geet: Ji sir... (Geet leaves)
Maan: (Pagal ladki...maan smirks.)
Geet goes to her cabin'She recieves a call from Maan.
Maan: Geet can I please have a cup of coffee? I take one cube of sugar.
Geet: Ji sir...(She puts down the phone in such a haste)
Maan: (Yeh ladki!!) (He walks into her cabin and startles Geet, she immediately stands up) Geet...jab main tumhe phone karu...toh puri baat sunlo...phir phone ko rakna!
Geet: Ji sir...sorry sir!
Maan: Hmm...meri saari meetings aaj cancel kardo.
Geet: Ji Sir...(Gives him the fake smile! Maan leaves)
Geet: Agar cancel hi karni thi tho rakhi kyun...hai na babaji. Geet cancels all his meetings and walks into the kitchen.
