Star Plus has lost 25 GRPs during the week over the previous, to stand at 300 points in Week 21. Its relative share fell to 25.3 per cent, from 27.2 per cent in Week 20.

While Colors and Zee TV continue to be at the second and third spot respectively, in the Hindi GEC space, the channels within the top three GEC bracket, have added additional GRPs in Week 21.

According to TAM (C&S4+, HSM), Colors has moved up from 226 GRPs that it had grabbed in the previous week, to 230 GRPs for the week ended May 21, 2011. Its relative share has also moved up from 18.9 per cent, to 19.5 per cent.

The win chiefly came in from the channel's primetime shows. Similar to Week 20, Colors has once again run 45-minutes episodes of their top shows -- Balika Vadhu, Uttaran, Laagi Tujhse Lagan, and Sasural Simar Ka, on Friday.

"The idea is to ready the slot for the fourth edition of Khatron Ke Khiladi with Akshay kumar, which launches on June 3, to occupy the 9 pm band on Saturdays and Sundays," says a top media executive on conditions of anonymity.

At No. 3, Zee TV has increased by 8 GRPs during the week, to be at 191 GRPs. Its channel share has moved up from 15.3 per cent, to 16.1 per cent. The push primarily came from the grand finale of Lux Dance Ke Superstars on Saturday.

Meanwhile, leader of the flock Star Plus has lost as much as 25 GRPs during the week over the previous, to stand at 300 points in Week 21. Its relative share fell to 25.3 per cent, from 27.2 per cent in Week 20.

The No. 4 GEC, Sony, has witnessed an eight-point fall from 144 GRPs to 136 GRPs. Its relative share has sunk from 12 per cent, to 11.5 per cent in Week 21.

Sibling channel SAB, at the fifth position, has scored 133 GRPs in Week 21. Its relative channel share is 11.3 per cent for the week, up from 11 per cent during the same period.

At No. 6, Imagine TV gained 4 GRPs during the week, to score 68 GRPs. Its relative share has also moved up from 5.4 per cent, to 5.7 per cent. STAR One, with 42 GRPs and a channel share of 3.6 per cent, follows it.

STAR Utsav is at No. 8. The channel's relative share is constant at 2.9 per cent, while its GRPs have dipped marginally to 34 (35 GRPs in the previous week).

Sahara One and DD1 have garnered relative shares of 2.6 per cent and 1.3 per cent, respectively.

Saathiya Saath Nibhana (Star Plus) leads the list of the 10 most-watched programmes, clocking a TVR of 4.96, followed by Balika Vadhu (Colors) and Uttaran (Colors), with TVRs of 4.45 and 4.44, respectively.

The fourth most-watched programme is Pavitra Rishta, with 4.3 TVR. Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai (Star Plus) and Navya (Star Plus) follow next.
