Kesar tells Gulaal that she is his problem, and he has questions for her, not one but many. She asks him what type of questions. He says the same questions that do not let him be in peace, that his eyes ask her all the time, she has answers to all of them. She says that this is the situation that it has reached, Kesar says that he has been compelled to be in this situation (I did not understand this dialogue). She tells him to ask the questions. Kesar hesitates, then says on her insisting that before he was sent to the hostel, her whole world revolved around him, but that is no longer the case now. He continues to cry and be in pain when he says this, and Gulaal has tears in her eyes as well. He asks her why both their worlds are separate, and if their lives are so separate why does she roam in his mind constantly, why. Gulaal is shocked, and then tells him that he is hurting her with his hands holding her arms tight. He realizes and leaves her. Gulaal covers her head and tells him that it is late at night, it is better if he returns to his room. Kesar leaves. Gulaal shuts the door and is overcome with grief, she flashbacks to Kesar's words and cries.
Sudha is on her bed and flashbacks to Raman's words about how this was all her fault. Talli flashbacks to Kesar's behavior the day before. (Nobody can sleep in this house). Talli gets up and Sudha asks her what happened. Raman enters the room, Sudha goes to greet him happy. Raman indicates towards Talli and asks Sudha who she is, Sudha tells him that she is Kesar's childhood friend and lives here now. Raman asks what she is doing in his room, Talli leaves for Gulaal's room. Raman ignores Sudha and goes to sleep, Sudha feels bad.
Kesar is on the terrace playing his musical instrument, and again has flashbacks and has tears falling. He hears a noise and stops playing, and sees Mota Bha coming towards him. Mota Bha asks him if he is okay, and to continue playing. Kesar continues but doesn't play as well. Mota Bha sits next to him and Kesar tries to hide his breath to prevent Mota Bha from finding out that he drank alcohol. Mota Bha asks him to play the tune he used to play as a kid. Kesar plays, Mota Bha smiles. Mota Bha tells Kesar that no matter how strong something is with time the river cuts it, just like Mota Bha's strength has been cut, he doesn't have the courage and energy to bear the responsibility for the village and family anymore, he worries about the family's future. He fears that there maybe a break in the family, that some family members will, for their selfishness, compromise the family values. Mota Bha tells Kesar that it is late, and asks for help in getting up. Kesar helps him with his hand but Mota Bha sees that Kesar himself is unstable and not able to stand straight because he is drunk and gets angry. He tells Kesar that this was all that was left to see, he is embarrassed to call Kesar his son. Mota Bha leaves.
The next morning Kesar wakes up to see that he slept on the terrace. Jamna comes to hang clothes and taunts him for sleeping there. Jamna tells him that she will take care of the bedsheet in his hands. Kesar is surprised to see that he was covered with a bedsheet, Jamna says that it is not the person that he is thinking of who covered him, she (Jamna) saw him sleeping like that at night and covered him, not Gulaal. Kesar turns away. Jamna asks if she is wrong, doesn't Kesar want Gulaal to take care of him, and Kesar is not wrong in thinking that way because every husband in the world would want that, but nothing will happen by just wanting, some things are achieved by demanding, and he will have to work for it. Kesar will have to understand his position and right in Gulaal's life.
Talli enters Kesar's room (why doesn't this girl ever knock). She brings pink roses and puts them in a vase, and starts arranging his clothes that are scattered all over. She goes to put his clothes in the closet and starts looking for something (I think the clothing. This girl is so nosy and doesn't know when to stop). Kesar comes there and sees her going through his closet and asks what she is doing there. She tells him that she was arranging his clothes, he tells her annoyed that he has told her several times not to touch his clothes, and stops when he sees the flowers. She tells him that she brought them for him, whether he liked them. He asks her how come suddenly. She tells him that she thought a lot the night before and realized that she troubles him a lot, and understands why he left her on the way, she says whatever comes to her mind without thinking, but she will change herself and do whatever he wants, and will not argue when she goes out with him. He asks her who used to take her out before he arrived. She says that the situation was different, now Kesar has returned so why should she take someone else, now it is his responsibility. Kesar asks what responsibility, it is her life, she should do what she wants, what does that have to do with his responsibility. (He uses the term "maan na maan, tu mera mehmaan - if Talli still doesn't get it, I don't know what her brain is made of. Kesar walks all over her and sometimes treats her like crap when she annoys the heck out of him, but she always takes it and comes back to him.) Talli goes on to say "Kesar, but you know", Kesar says angrily that he doesn't know anything and is not interested, and what is this behavior of hers, stuck with him all the time. He continues angrily that he doesn't like someone sticking to him all the time, then he slaps his hands together folding them and asks her to leave him alone. Talli feels very upset and leaves, while Kesar sits on his bed frustrated about his blurting out things to Gulaal the night before when he was drunk.
Precap: Talli weeps, Gulaal asks what happened. Talli tells Gulaal that Kesar doesn't like her but likes someone else. Gulaal is shocked.
