PART 19
Maan reflected on the happenings of the last few days as he sat in the plane of Indian Airways, that was on its way to London.
A lot had happened.
He had found out that Geet was his wife.
That they had been married for two years actually!
And that they were expecting a baby.
Though the paternity test results hadn't arrived yet, he knew that the baby was his.
He just knew.
And he was also sure that Geet loved him.
He had no more doubts now.
To hell with what Sasha had said!
He had always known her to have her designs on him.
Those intentions regarding him were probably what made her lie to him.
'Cause Maan Singh Khurana can never be wrong.
He could read people and their intentions like an open book.
He was cleverer than people expected him to be.
He'd put them in different situations and spots, and then analyse their reactions.
And that was exactly what he had done with Geet.
And what he had concluded after his little detective tricks was, that Geet was head over heals, irrevocably in love with him. And would do anything to keep him safe and happy.
She was also exceptionally fiery and short tempered, that just made her look all the more hot!
Her mood swings and bouts of anger, made her just perfect to be Maan Singh Khurana's wife.
Why, she had blown a fuse when she had seen him with those girls!
But that had gone too far, cuz he had shouted at her as well.
She was pregnant, and should be treated with a lot of love, care and respect in her delicate condition.
That's why he had made gentle and sweet love to her.
To take her pain away.
And he would continue to do that.
And would make sure that she stayed happy.
Which meant no more anger and screaming around his pregnant wife! Maan Singh Khurana would for once have to behave in a calm and composed manner.
He will take care of her.
But he'll do that with the little game that he was playing.
He had consulted doctors in London, and they had assured him that the little game that he was playing on Geet would not affect her health as long as she felt loved and cherished.
As long as he showered her with care, and made her feel wanted in his life.
The thought of his prank brought a smirk to his naughty face, and he wondered which option his Mrs. Khurana would pick.

This whole memory loss thing had really twisted things up.
Everything was messed up!
And the lies they had told Maan to hide it!!!
BABAJI!!!!!!
To hide one lie, they had had to construct an entire monument out of them.
And now they were so badly caught up in this web of lies that they had spinned, they themselves didn't know how to handle the situation.
Maan realised that he loved her.
But of course he did!! Memory loss can't take away what's in your heart, right!
But he thought that she was Dev's wife, cuz that's what she had herself told him!
So now he wanted her to cheat on her make believe husband and have an extra marital affair with his brother, Maan, her real husband!!
He wanted his own wife to have a secret affair with him!!
Things could just not muddle up beyond this point!!
This was like another comedy of errors gong on, just that it was very very badly scripted, since the writers were the confused members of the Khurana household.
Wouldn't Shakespeare be banging his head against the walls right now!!
Geet paced the living room in confusion.
What the hell was Maan upto???!!!!
He wanted to have an illegitimate relation(according to him) with his brother's wife!!!(who was actually his own)
But nevertheless, he did want to comitt what would otherwise have been a sin!
She had known him for a very long time now.
And understood him probably better than even himself.
She knew that he'd die before he compromised on his principles and did something immoral.
Something that he'd never approve of.
And adultery is something that he'd never approve of!!
He'd never cheat on his own brother and have a relationship with his wife.
Then why did he suggest such a thing?
How could he suggest such a thing??
Something was definitely wrong here...
That was when the door bell rang and a postman arrived with a courier for Maan Singh Khurana.

Geet turned the envelope that had just arrived via courier in her hands.
It was for Maan.
She figured she'd better go and keep it in his study, so that he'd find it when he returned.
So she marched upto his study and slowly opened the door to it.
She was the only one allowed in there.
No one other than her dared enter the lion's den, not even in his absence.
Geet smiled at her husband's antics, the way he intimidated everyone to keep things going his way.
She continued to smile as she made her way to his table.
She was about to place the envelope in his drawer when she noticed that it was from a medical lab.
"British Testing Lab, Hospital of London ", she slowly read the name of the institution that it had come from.
Why, that was the best Hospital in Europe, and had amazing testing labs.
What did Maan have tested in London she wondered.
All the tests that they had had done for him were done in a hospital in Delhi itself.
Though best doctors had come from all over the world to look into his case, no tests had been comissioned outside.
Dadi ma or Vicky had probably recently had it done for a second opinion.
She should check what the reports said.
These London people had probably figured out something that the other doctors or their Indian labs had missed.
So she ripped open the envelope and pulled out the reports that lay inside.

Geet sat on Maan's chair, flabbergasted at what she had read in the reports.
They were the results of a paternity test.
They proved that the child growing inside her was Maan's.
She was hell confused now.
Why did Maan have a paternity test done?
When she had herself told him that the child was Dev's, why did he have it tested for himself??
If he had this test done, then he must have suspected something.
The possibility that the child was his must have occured to him.
But what had made him think of such a thing??
No one had told him anything about his relationship with her.
And prior to the day they slept together, nothing had happened that'd suggest that they were ever connected!!
Geet continued to ponder over these things in her state of shock when her eyes fell on the slightly ajar door of the secret room in Maan's study.
She slowly made her way to it, and as she opened the small door gaurding the objects within, the lights in the little room automatically came on, and she was met with a shocking sight.
