Kishore walks in ..a little hesitant...his arms behind his back. Dutta and Baaji look at him. Dutta raises his eyebrow questioningly and Kishore says" Wo Bhau, main aapke liye kuch laaya tha..." And he extends his hand and there is a packet of Tiger glucose biscuits.

Dutta: (narrows eyes, expression suddenly very firm) Yeh tumhe kahan se mila Kishore?

Baji looks at Kishore's outstreched hands and is Shocked!!!

Kishore: Kale ne diya mujhe, kaha bahar Gate pe ek aadmi de ke gaya. (looks puzzled) Mujhe yeh nehi samajh mein a raha Bhau ke koi tumhare liye biscuit kyon layega? Poha kyun nehi?

Baji: (running his right hand through his hair, left hand on hips, shakes head in disbelief and says slowly) Pan mere ko samajh a raha hai !! (turns to Dutta, nostrils flaring) Woh wapas a gaya Bhau! Aur saale ki itni himmat ki tujhe ye bhent bhejta hai!!! Abhi ja ke Saale ko uski aukaad dhikha ke ata main. (urgently) Tu baas hukum kar.

Dutta: (face grim, eyes still narrow, suddenly rotates his neck anticlockwise and comes to rest with the head tilted little to the right, lips parted in a snarl)* Dutta's backgroud music* Haan Baji. Iska ek hi matlab hai. Us makhkhi ko phir se Sher banne ka shaukh chadha hai. (then chillingly whispers) Woh Bhul gaya (pause) Ki biscuit khane ke liye (pause) Tiger brand ki nehi, Mard Ki Kaleje ki zaroorat hoti hai.

Kishore looks more puzzled.

Baji: Saale ne Britannia ke dabbe mein Tiger biscuits bhar ke hum dono mein phut dalne ki koshish ki thi, (aggressively) Uski toh main...

Kishore: Per yeh hain kaun?

Baji: Anna ka Bhai Ganna (spitting out the name) Saala juicer-mixer Biscuits ke dhande mein gandagi phelanewala, Bhau ne usko tadipar karwake achchi sabak sikhaya tha. Lekin laagta hai ke Saala Jamaica se wapas a gaya.

Kishore: (Turns to Dutta, concerned) Milawat matlab Dhoka?

Baji: (walks up to stand besides Kishore, his left hand on Kishore's right shoulder) Haan jijaji, Dhoka. Usne Sone ke biscuits ke peti mein rolled gold aur Britannia ke peti mein ghatiya genhoon waleTiger chap rakh ke Bhau se shanpatti karne ki koshish ki. Hamare beech deewar banana chaha.

Dutta: (deep in his own thought, jaws clenched, says) Lekin iss bar mere ghar tak pahunch ke usne mujhe, Dutta Shriram Patil ko chunauti di hai. Usse toh purana hisaab chukta karoonga Baji.. Aisa chukta karoonga ki Ganna juice ka har katra sukh jaaye.

Baji: (looks at Dutta with sheer admiration) To der kis baat ki Bhau? Abhich ke abhi chalta hain na apan?

Dutta: (face suddenly twists in agony, a sad helplessness in his eyes) main nehi ja sakta Baji, tu jaanta hai na?

Baji: (sobering up) Arre haan Bhau...Ganne ke chakkar mein main to bhul hi baitha tha. Pan tu pareshaan mat ho, Naku ko main samjhata na!

Dutta: Dutta Sriram patil kabhi itna majboor nehi tha Baji, jitna aaj hai, chah kar bhi main gussa nehi kar pa raha (his eyes well up, sits down brokenly on the single sofa facing the door, rubbing eyes with thumb and index finger of right hand).

Baji puts an understanding left hand on his left shoulder, gestures to kishore and both walk out of the room.

Baji and kishore walking side by side comes and stops at the first rung of the wooden staircase.

Kishore: (concern writ large on his every body part) Baat kya hai Baji? Bhau aise? Aur Naku?

Baji: Bahut locha hai jijaji. lekin is uljhan ko seedha nehi kar paya to Dutta toot jayega?

Kishore: Per hua kya?

Baji: Kal subhe Dutta aur main jab bahar gaya tha...

*flashback begins*

Scene fades in on Naku walking away wiping tears with Duji blurry in the background lost in their friendship and biscuits. Fades out.

Fades ins to a reverse scene where Dutta and Baji is in the foregroung and Naku's receding back blurry in the Background.

Dutta: (Extends right hand with a piece of Britannia Good Day towards Baji's face whose eyes are closed and mouth open. About 1.3 cms from his lips Dutta's hand stops, his brow furrows, tilts head to the left then takes two swift and then a long sniff asking in a hushed voice) Baji, kya tu bhi wohi sung raha hai jo main sung raha hoon?

Baji: (smiles dimplingly, eyes still closed) Haan Bhau, main bhi woich sung raha hai re...makkhan aur kaju ke sugandh. Pan tu khilata kyun nehi?

Dutta: (With angry wave of hand) Bakwas mat kar Baji! Makkhan nehi, Gulab sa hai, thik se sung, ek kaam thik se nehi hota tujhse? (glares at Baji).

Baji: (Opens eyes to look at Dutta, perplexed. His expression changing to a knowing smile, eyes wide, raises eyebrows) Arre Bhau, tab to tujhe woh peeli Duranda ke jhari bhi dikh raha hoga jisme Gulab ke phool khile hain? aur woh ped pe khoda hua naam? Hai na?

Dutta: (Looks up sharply) Kaise Baji? Tu kaise bina bataye mera mann pad leta hai?

Baji: (adjusts collar of Kurta embarrassed) Main nehi samjhega to kaun samjhega? (Stops, looks deeply into Dutta's eyes and adds) Iska ekhich matlab hai Bhau, Naku yehi kahin hai.

Both look at each other and then turns, Dutta to his right, Baji to his left. They see Naku's receding figure in the distance.

Baji: (straightens head to look at Dutta urgently) Main abhi bulata use. Kya soch rahi hogi Naku!(attempts to get up)

Dutta: (Holds Baji's left wrist with his right hand) Nehi. Jaane de usse.

Baji: Ho Bhau (then suddenly snaps out) Jane doon? (a little louder) Naku ko Jane doon? Kya Bhau, Poha ka gussa abhi bhi?

Dutta: (raises voice) Bola na, jane de?

Baji: Tu yeda to nehi ho gaya?

Dutta: BAJIII!!!! (extends right hand towards Baji palm upturned, brows lowered, lips pursed)Yeda tu hai jo usse bulana chahta hai!!

Baji: Main samjha nehi re bhau? (runs left hand trough his hair)

Dutta: (right index finger points at Nakus direction then back to where they are sitting) Ayegi to apni Aayi ki bolti saath layegi. (gulps, closes eyes for a moment sighs deeply and parts lips slightly. Struggles for half a second, then resignedly adds) Aur mujhe ye peene se rokegi (holds up a carton of Fresh orange juice).

Baji: (puts his right hand understandingly on Dutta's left shoulder) Pan tu hi to bolta tha na ke jab tak koi tokne wala na ho, peene ka maja hi nehi?

Dutta: (far away look in his eyes) *Flashback of Naku saying 'Saab, aap aaj bhi piyoge?* (close up of Dutta breaking out of reverie and sighing deeply) Isi liye toh abhi tak juice carton khol nehi paya. (looks up helplessly) Per Baji woh chahti hai ke main puri tarah se chod doon. Sirf scotch whiskey se basar karoon!

Baji: Yeh toh saala locha ho gaya re bhau? Pan naku aisa karegi kyun?

Dutta: Kahti hai, Saab, narangi juice peene ke baad aap gusse se bekabu ho jate ho. Daru aapko shant karta hai, aap dhyan se meri batein sute ho bina dhokha chillaye! (gets up to walk away a little, makes a sweeping motion with both hands, parts lips, turns head to his left, closes eyes, turns and walks back to Baji) Per tujhe to malum hai na Gussa hamare dhande mein pehli zarurat hai.

Baji: Janta hai main Bhau, per Naku nehi janti na? Uss bechari ko hamare dhande ke bare mein kya malum?

Dutta: Per itna toh woh jaanti hai na Baji ke subeh subeh Gussa na karoon toh main Bathroom nehi ja sakta? Phir bhi usne apni kasam dilwayee (looks distraught)

Baji: (eyes widen) Kaab?

Dutta: Kal subeh. Isiliye main Kal raat se kuch nehi khaya.

Baji: Tu fikar mat kar bhau, main usse samjhayega. Woh Zaroor manegi.

*Flashback ends*

@ Moony :- Anna ka bro GANNA 🤣🤣?! And the reason why Dutta screams and gets angry in the morning is to build pressure in the toilet?!?!?! 🤣🤣🤣 Bhai yeh bhi sach hain, kuch logon ko aisa hota hain, jab tak pressure nahin aata, bathroom mein "kuch bhi" nahin jaata . People spend lot of time in the toilet, waiting, with news papers, books, etc . Aur humare Dutta ke paas itna waqt hi kahan hain ?!

Nakku arrives in their room. She sees Dutta sitting on the sofa, tensed, with his elbows on his thighs and both his index fingers on his forehead and and thumb on the temples. She sits on the ground and places her hands on Dutta's knees. Dutta suddenly raises his head with a jolt and finds Nakku sitting on the ground, looking at him intensely trying to read his face. Dutta looks away to his left. Nakku starts speaking...

Nakku :- Saab...kya hua, saab...aap itne pareshaan kyu hain? Saab...apna gham mujhse baato saab...aapka dukh mera dukh hain, aapki takleef meri takleef hain saab...bathaiye saab, kya chal raha hain aapke man mein?

Dutta :- Gussa aa raha hain mujhe...gussa aa raha hain Nakku ki subah se shyaam ho gayi... lekin AB TAK main bathroom nahin jaa paya! Aur woh bhi SIRF aur SIRF teri wajah se Nakku...sirf teri wajah se!

Nakku stands there feeling guilty, with her eyes wide open and lips pressed, and hands fidgeting with the edge of her pallu.

Dutta is walking up and down in the room, with Nakku looking on.

She wants to desperately help Dutta, but how 😭?! Suddenly something strikes her, and she rushes to their wardrobe and opens the door, with the door almost hitting Dutta's nose while he had precisely reached there walking up and down. She is desperately searching for something inside, turning everything else topsy-turvy!

Holding on to his nose, Dutta looks on curiously...

Suddenly Nakku finds something, withdraws her hand, and places both her hands behind her back...

Nakku :- Saab...har baar ki tarah, iss baar bhi aapke iss sawaal ka jawab mere paas hain...

Saying this, she extends her right hand in front of Dutta, with her palms closed. Dutta stares at her closed palm trying to guess whats in there.

Nakku then opens her palms in slow motion, with the camera cutting from Dutta's face to Nakku's face to Nakku's slowly opening palms, then again to Dutta's face to Nakku's face to Nakku's palms...this camera effect goes on 3-4 times until Nakku finally opens her palms fully. Dutta's eyes widen on seeing whats on Nakku's hands...he is pleasantly surprised and his lips open upto 1cm to break into a slight smile. A sigh of relief escapes from his 1cm opened lips. He looks at Nakku's face, who is standing there with a warm smile on her face, and eyes welled up.

So what was in Nakku's palms, seeing which Dutta got happy?! To know the answer, scroll down 😃...

Ab samajh mein aaya, why Dutta calls Nakku "samajhdhaar" 😉!

Moral of the story :- Nakku ke paas Dutta ke har sawaal ka jawab hota hain 😎.
