Geet had declared she won't get married and she is breaking her engagement with Dhruv. Stating so, she ran inside the house leaving all startled. Meera and Brij went behind her assuring their parents they will convince her. They went to Geet who was sitting on her bed crying silently. They went and questioned her about her decision and accused her, While Geet just set there. Finally Geet had enough of them when Meera questioned her with a cold voice, "Arre agar app ho shadi nai karni thi toh phele bata diya hota, kam se kam itna drama toh nai hota." Geet stood up and faced them both. "Tu ne bataya tha phele?" she asked back making Meera shut up. "Aur bhai ap ne bataya tha ki ap londaon ja rahe hai?" Meera and brij looked at each other. "Kyon Meera, computer class ke beja audition dene jati hai na tu? Model banna hai tujhe, yeh bataya tha? Dhoka mein ne nai, tum dono ne diya hai mummy papa ko. Mein toh bas unhe bachana chati hoon aur isi liye yeh sagai thod di. Tum dono jo unhe akela kar ke ja rahe ho, un akehlepan un ka saat dungi mein aur yeh shadi mein sirf is bharose kar rahi thi ki mere mummy papa ke saat mere bhai hai, jo unki sahara hai, unki tagat hai. While outside, Dhruv's family accused them. Rano tried to convince them. "Aap please rukye. Brij gaya hai usse mana ne." "Bas, ab agar woh maan jaye bhi na, hum nai manne ge. Humari bhi koi izzat hai." Dhruv stated leaving and dhruvs father added to it. "Dekh liya ap sab ne? Kaisa hai yeh Hand pariwar aur kaisa hai in ka sanskar? Yeh toh acha huwa ki shadi se phele inka chera hum jaan gaye, warna paya nai kiya hota. Chalo yaha se." They started to leave when Mohindar tried to stop them. "Aap log please rukh jaye, humari Geet bahut nadan hai." "Lekin hum nadan nai hai. Ab aap zindigi bhar use apne ghar mein bita kar rakhna."Dhruv's mom retorted back. "Chalo beta." Rano went to Dhruv. "Dhruv, tum toh mil chuke ho, jante ho nah Geet ko, usse itni badi saza mat do." "Tabhi toh. Tabhi toh mein yeh Geet se expect nai kiya tha. Yeh sab usi ki marzi se ho raha tha na? Yeh saza khud us ne apni kismat mein likhi hai. Chaliye dad."

"GEET!!!" Mohindar came in the house shouting for her. Geet came out of her room and stood in front of her dad who was glaring at her. Geet lowered her head when suddenly Mohindar raised his hands and slapped her tight on her face. All looked shocked at him as he never ever before has hit Geet or even raised his voice on her. "Meri zindigi bhar ki kamai, maan maryada, meri izzat ko mitti mein milane ka haqh kis ne diya tumhe? Aaj tumhari waje se sab ke samne sharminda hona padha hume. Bolo kyon kiya tumne yesa? Kyon thoda sagai." Geet stood silent. "Mujhe tumhari khamoshi nai. Jab chaiye." "Papa..." brij tried to speak in but Mohindar pointed a finger at him in warning. "Tum kuch nai bolo gaye brij, mujhe is se sunna hai... kiya kiya sapne dekhe the humne is ki shadi ke liye. Is se dekh Geet, tere bhai, tumhari shadi ke liye loan ke chakar mein mara fir raha hai aur yeh teri behan, tumhari sagai ki shopping mein apna soodh boodh  kho baithi hai."Brij and Meera lowered their head ashamed. Geet spoke again just to be cut in by brij again. "Geet please." He begged her through his eyes not to tell the truth and looked at his dad. "Papa, I'll tell you the truth why Geet broke off the engagement. Yeh woh sach hai jo aap jante nai hai. Actually dad, Dhruv sahi ladhka nai hai Geet ke liye. Us ki zindigi mein ek nai, kai aur ladkiya hai."Brij lied through his mouth and Geet just stared at him not believing he could go this low. Taking a breath of relief Meera added "Haan papa, bhai bilkul tikh kahe rahe hai.woh Dhruv already do ladhkiyon ke shadi ka wada kar chukka hai. Unhe dhoka diy usne. Aur jaise di ko pata chala unho ne... hai na bhai?" "Ha dad. Woh toh acha hai Geet ne khud rok diya warna mein toh sagai rokhne wala tha. Aap fikar mat kijye papa, hum Geet ke liya Dhruv se bhi acha ladka dhoondhe gaye. Bas abhi aap log Geet se kuch mat kahiye." He turned and looked at geet in the eye and said in a warning tone "Aur Geet tujhe bhi kuch bolne ki zarurat nai hai, samjhi. Thoda waqt bitne do nah, sab tikh ho jayega uhh? Kuch nai." Saying this he left. Geet went to her dad and folded her hands infront of him. "I am sorry papa. Mujhse galti ho gai." Mohindar held her hands. "Nai beta, galti toh mujhe huwi. Pata nai mein kaise bhul gaya kit u toh kabhi galti nai karti phir aaj  kaise? Muje maak karde, meine tujh pe haath uthaya." "Nai papa. Aap plz aise mat kahiye." Geet hugged her father guilty.

Next day Geet left for office as it was the exhibition today. Pari was waiting for her. "good morning pari."Geet wished her. "Aisa kyon kiya Geet?" Pari asked her. "Pari please, mujhe is ke bare mein baat nai karni." "Kyon Geet? You broke your engagement, just like that?" "Tujhe pata hai Pari, I did it for my parents. Bhai London jana chata hai aur Meera modelling. Unke badh unka khayal koun rakhega?" "Sirf yahi baat hai ya aur kuch?" Pari asked folding her hands. Geet looked at her confused. "Aur kiya ho hoga?" "Kahi, 5 years phele jo huwa us ki waje se toh nai...?" Pari trailed off and Geet looked at her with wide eyes. "PARI?" Geet almost shouted. "Yeh sach hai Geet, is se phele bhi tu ne shadi ke liye mana kiya tha kyon ki... dekh Geet 5 saal phele jo huwa tha us mein teri koi galti nai thi. Tum kyon apne aap ko saza de rahi ho?" "Pari please, I don't want to talk about it. "Lekin..." "Pari please?" Geet begged her with her eyes filled up. Pari nodded. "Acha chal exhibition ke liye late ho jaye ga." Both the girls made their way towards the exhibition room when from the front few people came running with the guards as well. One of the person bumped into Geet making her fall along with the person. Geet looked up to see the person and froze on the spot "Brij?" the guards came and held brij up. Geet got up and looked around confused when Dev and Tej came from behind. "Give him to the police." Dev said making Geet look at him startled. Geet looked back at brij who lowered his head when Dev repeated his words. Geet went to Dev and asked "kyon kya kiya hai mere bhai ne?" "Chori ki hai tumara bhai ne. Chor hai yeh.Yeh dekho." Dev showed her a diamond bracelet. Geet looked at brij shocked and hurt. She couldn't believe this. Brij wouldn't, would he?  The police came. "Arrest him officers." Dev commanded. The police went to brij with the handcuff and as they were about to take him, Geet stopped them. "Rukhiye. Chor yeh nai mein hoon. Take me, not him."
