Gulaal tells Kesar that he scared her, where was he all day. He demands angrily why she did this, why did she put forward Dushyant's name for Head of village. She is surprised seeing his anger, and gently tells him that because Dushyant has the capability. Kesar turns his head to the side as if controlling his anger, and turns back to her. She continues that whether she is Head, or Dushyant, or anyone else in the family, it is the same thing. He says no, and continues angrily between his teeth that it is not the same thing. I think Gulaal is very surprised so see how angry he is. He continues that how can it be the same thing, Mota Bha decided to make her Head and must have done so after much deliberation, Gulaal has become so mature that she thinks Mota Bha's decision is wrong. She comes down the steps and explains that it is not about challenging Mota Bha's decision, it is about understanding the reason behind the decision. Mota Bha wanted her to become Head because of his worry for her, the reason was not pure logic but also emotion, but Gulaal has taken this decision logically and independent of emotion, and everyone believes that Dushyant is more capable than Gulaal.
Kesar continues looking at her with tears in his eyes, and tells her that she is the only one who thinks that. She says that Mota Bha also understands her point of view, Kesar asks her what about him since he doesn't understand, he doesn't understand why she went against Mota Bha, Kesar, and everybody and rejected the post and replaced her name with Dushyant's when Kesar wanted her to become Head. He says the last part even more angrily, gestures his hands in exasperation, and raises his voice. He continues that he doesn't understand what the reason is that compelled her to do what he doesn't want or like. Gulaal sees him heated and asks what is the reason for his anger, her not doing what Kesar wanted or her putting forward Dushyant's name. Kesar is a little taken aback at this question, and looks at her surprised, losing his heated expression. He leaves. I think he realizes that he is more angered by her putting forward Dushyant's name, but its also that she doesn't give importance to his wants. Gulaal looks on confused, and flashbacks to her mother's words that she has seen Kesar's concern about Gulaal's respect just like a husband for his wife, and then to his words telling her that she is also a part of his life and that she looks pretty with her hair open. Gulaal finally sees the truth that Kesar's feelings are stronger that she realized.
Jamna asks her husband whether he will accompany her, he refuses. She reminds him that Raman is their son, he responds that Raman has forgotten that he is their son by joining hands with Durgesh. He tells her that everyone is worried about Raman, he is not a kid anymore that they need to hold his hands and bring him home. Jamna says nobody needs to do anything, she will do whatever is required. She goes to leave the room and sees Raman, her eyes well up with tears and she gets very emotional, Raman lets out an emotional "Mom", she hugs him crying with a lot of love (Jamna is an awesome actress), an emotional moment for both.
Talli is dressing Sudha in her room, Sudha says everyone will make fun of her if they see her decked up. Sudha looks at herself happily in the mirror and Raman arrives, she runs towards him happily and teary-eyed, he smiles and hugs her affectionately. Gulaal calls out Sudha's name, Sudha was dreaming of Raman's coming there and being affectionate. Gulaal comes there and tells Sudha that Raman has returned home, everyone is happy.
Raman consoles his mother and tells her that he will stay in the house only for Jamna, but he will have to leave for now, he has to inform the people he is staying about his decision to return home because they got him freed from prison. He promises that he will return the next day and eat his mother's cooked food. Jamna cries and hugs him, he leaves. His father sees him leaving from behind.
It is night, Kesar is outside thinking about Gulaal's question about the reason for Kesar's anger. Kesar hears Raman's voice and takes his blessing asking if he will leave without meeting Kesar. Raman is surprised to see Kesar all grown up after all these years. Kesar is happy and smiling, Raman hugs him and asks how he is. Kesar says he wanted to meet Raman first, but decided to let him meet everyone first and test if Raman would recognize him. Kesar tells him that everyone must be happy seeing Raman, Raman says that only a few people are happy meeting him, Kesar says that he is very happy. Raman tells him that he is young and doesn't know everything, everyone is upset because Raman declared that he wants to become the village Head but everyone else wants Dushyant to win, nothing has changed even after all these years. He continues that everyone wants Dushyant to win because Gulaal wants it, but he (Raman) knows why Gulaal wants that. Kesar asks him why. He tells him to ask Gulaal, and that Kesar should stay away from these things else he will get hurt. Kesar asks if he met Sudha, Raman doesn't respond and leaves.
Sudha waits for Raman, Gulaal asks her to be patient. Talli comes there and hugs Sudha sadly, Sudha realizes that Raman left without meeting her and feels sad. (I used to like Sudha, she was such a bad-ass, now all she does is pamper Talli and cry all day long).
Kesar reads one of his letters to Gulaal and weeps. The letter reads that Kesar has so many questions and only Gulaal can resolve them, sometimes he feels like asking her and knows that after that everything will be alright, but he doesn't understand why he cannot ask her, his fear of hearing her answers holds him back from asking her. He then ponders why he is scared of hearing her answers, despite knowing that it will resolve his worry. He is scared that she will tell him the truth which will separate her from him forever. He flashbacks again to Raman's words and cries some more, sitting on the floor with his letters scattered all around him. He flashbacks again to Durgesh's words. Its as if he strongly suspects that there is something between Dushyant and Gulaal and he doesn't want Gulaal to tell him so because he will have no chance with her.
Precap: Kesar is on his bike, Talli asks him for her gift. He asks her when he got her a gift, she says she knows that he got the clothing for her and she has been waiting for him to give it to her, she cannot wait anymore. He gets angry and tells her that she misunderstood, it was not for her, she feels upset and asks what, he repeats himself and her face loses its color. (I think Kesar will realize that it was because of Talli that Gulaal insisted his giving the gift to Talli. If I were Kesar, I would resent Talli, the more Gulaal would try to bring them closer the higher the resentment).
