Misti, you are absolutely right. The anger was spontaneous and a result of a lot of his conflicting feelings. Even though there is no monologue, logically for me this is the projection of his own guilt as it is easier to blame Radhika than to look at himself because as you wrote several times in last few days that this means questioning everything he has been led to belief or even taught by Amba for that matter.
Now the new promo talks about Dev becoming pleasant to Radhika. This action of his is a catalyst for that because he has to know that he went too far. So again if they just cut this scene and suddenly he is smiling at Radhika who is also happy won't be natural. There has to be a self-retrospection here and also at least have to realize that he was blaming Radhika for something that wasn't her fault. He has to understand her misery and probably this physical abuse (because it is contrary to his nature or at least I hope it is) has to eat him up alive with remorse. He should not be able to move forward until he apologizes to Radhika for this.Angie watch the promo...it has been posted by Nipun ...there is a slight softening of expression on Devs face and I don't think either is smiling at the other...they are facing each other in their own rooms...Radhika in her room overlooking Devs room across the courtyard...she is putting on bangles and feels a presence looks out of the window and they show Dev standing there watching her with a contemplative look and voice over saying "Radhika ke prati pighal rahi hai Dev ki Karvahat"...so maybe the physical abuse will be a catalyst as you have mentioned...but they have to show his remorse at his actions...him breaking down and apologizing to Radhika... otherwise again they will leave loopholes between what has been shown in the past week and Devs softening towards Radhika. But again, this intentional plan of making Radhika would be a change in the script and does not go with the previous episodes and all his thoughts shown so far. Now the question is the sudden change in his behavior. Is it because the audience are getting repulsed by Dev and they had to change his character? If audience are getting repulsed, I don't blame them. As Misti said, fans are comparing him with Dev of CB1 and here no perspective was ever given and they made his thoughts so one-sided (only thinking of Rohan as he wasn't even talking about Dadaji at that time) that he started coming across as extremely selfish and self-centered who liked to blame Radhika for his wrong actions. That is why for Dev monologues are important to connect him with the audience.
