Ahem says, "I don't believe you, I will never believe you. Gopi may believe you and forgive you after you shed few tears, and if that's how she feels then its fine, but know that I have her back now."

Jigar also spoke up. "Rashi I agree with bhai completely. I will never trust you. There is a condition to you coming back to Modi Bhavan."

Gopi opened her mouth as if to defend her sister but Jigar gave her a look and that stopped her. "Rashi first you will give up your phone, from now on you will have no cell phone, I don't feel you need one.  Second from this point on you will not contact your mother.  Bhai is going to file charges against your mother for attempted murder."

Both sisters listened silently; they couldn't defend Urmi, even if they wanted to.

Ahem continued from where Jigar left off. "From now on you will be responsible for Gopi's well being, know that even if there is small scratch on her you will be held responsible, and will be escorted out of Modi Bhavan."

Rashi's eyes widened and her mouth gaped open. She couldn't blieve how much listening to her mother would get her in trouble and at this point she had no choice but to listen to the brothers and back off. For right now it's better to follow their instruction and not cause trouble, otherwise she will end up in jail like her mom. She was careful to keep her face blank and tears in her eyes so they don't suspect anything.

Ahem glared at Gopi, as well as Jigar. They knew very well that leopard can't change its colors. They know as soon as Rashi thinks she has won them over, she will try to do something to Gopi. Only reason they are going along at this time is for Gopi, they didn't want to upset Gopi at this time. Gopi will never believe that Rashi is trying to harm her until she sees it from her own eyes; they will wait till Rashi tries again, than there will be no more chances for her.

Jigar and Rashi left for home. Ahem waited for doctor to come and check Gopi and discharge her.

"Ahemji, thank you for giving Rashiben another chance, you'll see she is not a bad person, she really does love me."

Ahem went over to Gopi and sat beside her on the bed. He held both of her hands and kissed her on each hand. "Gopi, why are you so nice? Even after all that she has done to you, you continue to believe her, but I don't trust her one bit. I only gave her a second chance for you, but I will be keeping an eye on her. Now I don't want to talk about her. Do you know how scared I was, when I saw you on the floor in the storage room? You took ten years off my life."

Gopi started crying. "I am sorry Ahemji, it's all my fault, I didn't listen to Maji when she told me not to open the door for anyone but her, but I never thought that mami would try to hurt me like this."

Ahem took Gopi in his arms and rocked her as she cried. "Shhh.  Sweetheart, don't cry, you will make yourself sick, and I can't see you like this."

Gopi stopped crying and looked up at him. They both stared at each other for a long moment. Ahem wiped her tears and kissed her on the forehead.

Few minutes later the doctor came and checked Gopi, after checking her, doctor signaled Ahem to follow him out. "Mr. Modi, your wife was very lucky, she didn't swallow the bleach, because she was unconscious, but she has burns in her mouth from the bleach; make sure she only eats bland food until they heal completely. Also we had to reset her shoulder again she is going to have to rest that arm completely. She seems fine mentally for now, but she might have nightmares from this ordeal, try to keep her from thinking about all this. And I want to see her again in a week."

Ahem thanked the doctor, and went back to the room to help Gopi get ready.

Thirty minutes later they arrived home. Ahem carried Gopi in to the house and all the way up to their room. The whole family gathered around her to be sure she was ok. Once everyone was satisfied, everyone left so she could rest.

Ahem worked as Gopi slept……………..
