Saadrita and Visrom you have brought out the right points.
First and foremost prior to 2007, there wasa lot of work put in two major places: 1. story and 2. charecterisation.
A lot of attention was paid to show the empathy people in the police have that never gets praised ever in the media. Our CID and police staff have a personal life and choices to make that are irreversible was shown to its best in this very CID. We took courage from their lives and learnt to deal a tough coin called life as and when we faced challenges.
Both boys and girls across India learnt how to be tough from within and also be dignified form the various officers.
Now crass commercialism is ruling the serial which has the best acting talent. None who fell for CID did so because we had chocolate heroes and heroines on it. There were working people like you, me and our families which showed us that being ourselves was much easier than trying to ape somebody without thinking!
Instead of making the Forensic lab a play ground for unnecessary flirting (which is not a reality) it should be shown the solemn place which it once was under the same Dr.Salunke and Dr. Anjalika and Dr. Niyati.
Respect for once own work here read script writers and directors will get all these changes in.
Finally, it is not so tough to think of new stories. i have come across some good ones on this very forum. Hire them and do I need to say anymore?😉
