I'm mostly a lurker here, read the update & a few topics, but definitely watch the serial. It was one of the most realistic ones, characterisations were perfect of an ordinary middle class family. Loved the way the family dealt with whatever life chose to throw at them, the sensibleness & understanding was awesome. The elders of the family were the perfect foil for the exuberance of the younger lot.
But now something has changed the flavour of SGP. Maybe it's the strain of producing a 45 min show that is telling on the writers, but not the actors. The poor actors have to enact whatever the script demands. Nowadays every scene has some humour element whether the scene requires it or not. Like in the episodes following Ishaan's accident. When the family got to know, there was a long comedy scene with almost the whole family involved. In reality, people rush when they hear the word hospital. When they finally reached the hospital, there was yet another long comedy sequence involving Suhana, a fully bandaged patient & a woman.
Also what's with the hospital having 2 doctors for consultations? Nowhere in the world have I heard of such a happening. Believe me, I know. I've had my share of meeting many oncologists, but never once was there another dr. besides the specialist. If they needed consultation or advice, first they would take the patient's permission before calling another one. Is this the hospital's way of saying "Get two doctors' opinion for the price of one" or is it SP's way of dealing with too many actors on their roll-call.
I'm really trying to understand why a good serial & a good story is getting ruined by the CVs. I hope the show gets back it's old flavour soon.
