Part 2
Riddhima walks in the Mallik Empire building with her
heart beating fast.She is so nervous that she didn't even have breakfast
even though its the most important meal of the day.Riddhima's mom
forced her to eat a bite but Riddhima spit it out after it was in her
mouth.She was to scared and nervous to eat.Her hands were trembling and
she was lightly shaking.Riddhima would calm down but when she remembers
that today is her first day at work, she starts shaking again.Another
lady, that Armaan had sent for Riddhima to show her around the office
gave her a tour of the whole building.She led Riddhima to her office
which is next to Armaan's.There was a window between but the could still
see each other.Riddhima sits down in her seat as the lady left.Riddhima
didn't know what to do so she just sat there waiting to be told
something to do.Armaan walks in his cabin with some of his staff as he
explains to them about their new project.Armaan turns his head just to
look around but then turns it again when he saw Riddhima in her cabin
looking bored out of her mind.Armaan picks up his phone and dials
Riddhima's cabin number.Riddhima picks it up.
"Hello," Riddhima said with boredom and eating a bag of chips she had
brought with her in her purse.Even though she didn't feel like eating,
her stomach was begging her for food.Her mouth was stuffed when she
answered the phone. Riddhima thought it would be her family members as
they said they would call her but she wondered why they didn't call her
on her cell.
"Riddhima," came Armaan's voice looking at her through the
window.Riddhima's eyes go wide hearing Armaan's voice.He had seen her
eating chips and sitting there.Riddhima turns her head with her eyes
still big and looks at Armaan who was staring at her with a light
glare.She quickly got up even though they were talking on the
phone."Mere cabin main aao." Riddhima nods and hangs up.She quickly
wipes her mouth and throws the bag of chips in the trashcan and makes
her way out to Armaan's cabin.She knocks on the door and walks in after
hearing a 'come in.' "Yeh hai meri personal assistant toh project ke
files iss ko de do thake woh presentation bana le." His staff member nod
and walk out.
Riddhima just gave them a small, nervous smile as they made their
way.Armaan looks at her and Riddhima looks at him with a nervous and
fake smile.She is really freaking and that Armaan had caught her eating
chips was embarrassing.Armaan sat down in his seat and Riddhima was
about to walk out.
"Ek minute," Armaan said.Riddhima stopped in her tracks and closes her
eyes hoping he wouldn't bring the topic of her eating chips."Baitho."
Riddhima took a seat in front of his desk."Tum apne cabin main chips
kyun kha rahi thi?" Riddhima looks up at him with her an embarrassed
expression.
"Woh...maine subah se kuch nai khaya," Riddhima said looking back down
in her lap with her cheeks pink due to embarrassment.Armaan laughs and
shakes his head.
"Riddhima, I'm just teasing," Armaan said while laughing.Riddhima looks
up at him and smiles.His laugh was so adorably cute, Riddhima
thought.Armaan was still laughing while Riddhima just gazed at him.She
didn't notice when he stopped laughing and was trying to get her
attention."Riddhima...Riddhima...Riddhima!" Riddhima gets startled as
she comes out of her trance.She realized what she was doing.
"I'm sorry," Riddhima replies to him with her head back down and staring
in her lap.Armaan looks at her and noticed her head go down every time.
"Riddhima," Armaan called out softly.Riddhima lifts her eyes to look up
at him but her head remained down.She was scared about what he was going
to say next. "Tumhe seekh na hai." Riddhima became confused as to what
he is talking about. Armaan sees her confused face and sighs."You need
to learn to keep you head high.Agar tum seekho gi nai toh log tumhe
kamzor samjhe ge.I thought ke tum bohut hi confident tumhare interview
ke baad lekin tum toh..." He stopped because he didn't really know how
to explain it.He couldn't say weak because she didn't look weak but
looked disturbed.
"Aisa kuch nai hai, Sir." Riddhima said with her eyes back down.Armaan
sighs in defeat as he saw her eyes go down again.He just told her to
keep her head high but it went down again.
"Riddhima," Armaan said.Riddhima lifts her eyes up again to look at
him."Sar upar." Riddhima looks back down again not being able to lift
her head.She felt scared that if she looks into Armaan's eyes that he'll
be able to read her every emotion."Riddhima," this time he said in a
warning.Riddhima lifts her head and looks at Armaan.Armaan smiles but
his smile faltered as he saw her eyes swarming with emotions.It looked
like pain.Armaan put it aside because its her personal problem and
doesn't want to her hurt her by getting involve in it."Tum jaa sakti
ho." Riddhima nods and got up."Ek aur baat." Riddhima turns around and
looks at Armaan."Jab tum presentation ko shuru karne lago, toh mere paas
aa na.Main tumhe batao ga ke kaise hona chaiye." Riddhima nods and
walks out with her head down.Armaan shakes his head seeing her head
down.His eyes followed her out and looks at her as she sits in her
cabin.Armaan closes the blinds because he thinks it would be better off
like that.She is new and he didn't want to scare Riddhima by looking at
her every single move and she is very innocent.
Riddhima walks outside of the building at around 5:30.Today, was a long
day but learned a lot of new things.When she was about to start the
presentation, she went to Armaan's cabin to get his idea about the
presentation.The worst part was that is should be done by Friday morning
because his clients are coming by Friday, after lunch.So if the deal
happens, all of them will go out for dinner.She was waiting for a cab to
come but it was rush hour so all of the cabs were occupied.She sighed
as the fourth cab drove past her.Riddhima hears a honk behind her and
sees her boss's car.She moves out of the way as he came and stops beside
Riddhima.
"Tumhe ride chaiye?" Armaan asks looking up at Riddhima.Riddhima looks at him then looks away and shakes her head.
"Its okay.Main chali jao gi," Riddhima said.Its kind of weird for your
boss to drop you come.Armaan realized what she was thinking about and
smiles.He looks in front then back at Riddhima.
"Tum meri sirf assistant nai ho, tum meri dost bhi ho," Armaan
said.Riddhima turns her head sharply and sees Armaan grinning at her.She
was shocked to hear that and that to from her boss.He nods confirming
he meant it.A small smile appears on Riddhima's face.He tilts his head
to the side a little, telling her to get in.Riddhima walks around the
car and sits in the passenger seat and Armaan drives out on to the road.
There was traffic because of everyone leaving working at the same
time.Most people cursed the traffic because they were tired and wanted
to get home as soon as possible.That is how Armaan and Riddhima are
feeling right now.If Armaan was alone, he would've let out some curses
in the car but their was another person in his car and he couldn't say
that but he said it mentally.Riddhima looks at Armaan and sees his mad
expression.A giggle escapes her lips making Armaan look at her. Riddhima
quickly turns her head but continued to giggle.Armaan sighs madly
because here he is annoyed with the traffic and here she is giggling.
"Tumhe itni hansi kyun aa rahi hai?" Armaan asked annoyed and looking
out his window to the side then in front out of the windshield.
"Aap ke chehre pe," Riddhima answers still laughing.She puts her hand on
her mouth to stop her from laughing but fails.She burst out laughing as
Armaan looks at her mad.Riddhima realized she is laughing at her boss
and seeing his glare she stopped.
"Tum mere chehre pe kyun hans rahi ho?" Armaan asked wanting to know what made her laugh about his face.
"Jab aap naraz hote hain toh bade funny lagte hain," Riddhima said
starting to laugh again.Armaan looks at her and smiles at her innocent
laugh.He smiles and looks down in his lap then out the windshield.The
traffic started moving again and Armaan thanked got.Riddhima told him
the directions of her house and he followed them.Armaan stops his car
outside of Riddhima house.Riddhima turns towards Armaan before
getting."Thank you, Sir." Armaan nods.Riddhima gives him a smile and
walks out and into her house.Armaan drives away while Riddhima looks out
the window seeing his car going out of her sight.
"Aa gayi?" Riddhima's mom said setting dinner on the table.Riddhima
gasps as she got scared and turns around to her mom.Riddhima smiles and
rushes over to her mom giving her a big hug."Kaisa that din?"
"Amazing aur maine kafi kuch sikha bhi," Riddhima said happy.Riddhima's
mom is happy to see her daughter working and that to with happiness.
"Padma!" came Riddhima's dad's voice.Riddhima and Padma look at her each other.Riddhima gives her smile and kisses her cheek.
"Aayi Shashank," Padma said walking upstairs.Riddhima looks at the
dinner that her mom made.Smelling the food, made her stomach grumble so
Riddhima runs upstairs to get into her night clothes and eat dinner.
Armaan walks in house and locks the door.He heard talking coming from
the family room making him confused.He walks and sees his parents and an
woman and man about the same age of his parents and sees a girl a
little younger than wearing a tight and revealing dress.Armaan sighs
because he knew why they were here. Armaan's uncle had been setting him
up with girls to get married to.Armaan didn't know why his uncle were
after him when his own parent's weren't.Armaan looks at his parents mad
and they give him an apologetic face.Armaan sits down waiting for the
time when he can reject the girl because he doesn't want to marry her.
"Toh sagaai kab rakhe, Billy?" The father of the girl asked.Armaan looks
at the man in shock then at his dad.Billy, himself was shocked
himself.The kids didn't even talk to each other and her dad is already
getting them engaged.Everyone knew why the girl's parent's are in a
hurry to get her married to Armaan.He is good looking and is rich, what
more can they ask?
"Excuse me," Armaan interfered.All eyes were on him now.Armaan looks at
the girl and sees giving him a seductive look.Armaan was a little turned
on, after all he is a guy but no way."I'm sorry, main yeh shaadi nai
karna chatha." Their faces fell and left reluctantly.After they left,
Armaan glares at his parents."Aap please Taya jan se keh de ke main
shaadi karlo ga jab main chaho ga." Armaan walks upstairs and slams his
room door shut.
