May 15, 2011, (Sawf News) - Salman Khan is contemplating yet another South film remake – of Telugu film Mirapakaya, a cop action comedy headlining Ravi Teja.

Salman is already slotted to be seen in three South film remakes: Ready (Telugu, 2008) with co-star Asin, slated for release June 3; Bodyguard (Malyalam, 2010) with co-star Kareena Kapoor, slated for release August 31; and Kick (Telugu, 2009) with co-star Sonakshi Sinha, which is in pre-production.

Interestingly, Kick, to be directed by Shirish Kunder, also starred Ravi Teja.

For the Mirapakaya remake, Salman plans to retain director Harish Shankar who is the story writer of the film. Talks are underway between Salman and Harish.

Mirapakaya means red chillies in Telugu. The film released in theaters on January 2011.

The film tells the story of an inspector in the Intelligence Bureau (Ravi Teja) who is fondly called Mirapakaya by his pals. He goes undercover to track a mafia don and gets himself appointed as a Hindi professor in a university in Hyderabad. There he meets Vinamra (Richa Gangopadhyay) at a temple, falls in love at first sight. Incidentally, she studies in the same college and in the same class that Rishi teaches. Their love blossoms. At this juncture, Vaishali (Deeksha Seth), daughter of Kittu Bhai, the goon Teja is after, joins the same college. Grabbing the opportunity, Teja's boss asks him to extract information about Kittu from Vaishali. Teja ends up in a love triangle between his true love and Vaishali.
