Naina has stayed back in her bedroom, and has not come down to eat. After Rohini's vindictive insinuations, Daksh walks out from the dining table and goes to Naina, to ask her to come to eat. She is getting flash backs of the scene at the dining table where she was humiliated in front of all the family members, all those whom she had taken as her own. Finally she had to give in and make an oath, denying she had any love for their son, Daksh, which could bring tragic consequences to both of them. She told, what she felt. Daksh and Naina have a quiet conversation in which he tells her that his sister in law did not influe3nce him. He is extremely introvert, that he is not able to tell her what is on his mind, and this will be a reason for most of his anguish.
Sanket is trying to reason out with his wife, and asking her not to vent out her anger on the refusal of Daksh to marry her sister on everyone, as this will harm her baby. In her self centerdness, she can not see any other person's views.
Back in Naina's room, her other well-wisher, Abhi, comes with two plates of
food, and suggests that they eat. - but he takes one plate, and asks
Daksh and Naina to share the other. Abhi tries to lighten up the atmosphere, with his humor and jokes. When Naina starts to smile, they all feel relieved. They all finish eating, and in
the end wish every one good night, and part,. Before leaving, Naina, reminds Daksh to meet his girl friend and propose to her. He tells her that she may not love him, and she encourages him, and tells sometimes, we do not notice what is in our hearts, and telling them nudges the real thoughts and feelings out of them. He feels better and leaves.
A new day dawns on the Patwardhan house and Ayee is all decked up and Baba has bright flowers to put in her - It is their thirtieth wedding anniversary, and the think of all the years which have strengthened the bond of their love for each other. Their faith reinforces their natural love, and cements it. The first thing that comes up in their mind, as the new day arrives, is to give thanks to the Giver of this happiness, and they plan to go to the temple. Every year, their children gather round them and share in their happiness, and wonder what awaits them for today. The love which they shared on the first day, is still burning with the same glow, even after thirty years, and is evident on this day, on their faces.
Naina arrives with a bouquet of flowers and Abhi stops her and reminds her that they had planned a surprise for Ayee and Baba, and she joins him, and they go down to remind the others in the living room. Shyamal too agrees with them and they hide their presents. Akruti plans on inviting Ayush and things how to go about it. Abhi has planned a play in their honor to celebrate the event. Daksh has forgotten that it is their anniversary, and is busy preparing an event to propose to Naina. He remembers what Naina had told him, as to what she expected her prince charming to do when he proposed, and he wants to plan everything according to that script. On the terrace, he has managed to put up decorations on a gazebo, single handedly. As he admires his work, re remembers that In all his hurry, he has forgotten to buy a Love Globe for her, and rushes to the market to buy it. Akruti goes to invite Ayush, but he rudely sends her away which makes her upset and disappointed.
Ayee and Baba, decide to go to the temple the next day, and Abhi and Naina meet them
and wish them good morning, without wishing them for their anniversary. Vibha feels a bit out of place, and wonders why no one wishes them. The children have decided to give them a surprise, and make all of the others in the family to pretend that they have forgotten their anniversary. Shyamal too pretends ignorance, and asks them where they are going and knowing it is to the temple, asks them to buy some flowers for her on the way back, as she has planned to go shopping. As Daksh is coming down the steps, Naina rushes to stop him.
In the house, Rohini finds a present on her bed, and opens it, and finds it is a perfume bottle, and Sanket says, it is a nice present for his mother, and she disparages him, for choosing an expensive gift, to his parents, who do not value it and would have been satisfied with any cheap and affordable gift, as they need all the money for the child which they are expecting soon. . He feels hurt, and Rohini nonchalantly, sprays some perfume from the bottle on herself and ignores her husband.
When Abhi is busy preparing for the evening show, Naina is in search for Daksh, but he has gone out. In the shop, he sees that the globe he had eyed, has been purchased by another person, who finally gives it to him. Daksh is in a hurry, and goes to his car, and when he has strapped himself with the seat belt, remembers that he has not paid the money, so he leaves the car unlocked, and goes to the shop to pay,. In order to make Daksh reach home late, the producer has inserted an incongruous fight scene, and thus he is delayed till late in the evening, and he drives home after thrashing the goons, like a karate expert, with a bleeding jaw.
At home, the anniversary couple come home late from the temple, and the mother is disappointed that their children have forgotten their anniversary but her husband gives a positive explanation for that. As they enter, the house is in darkness. They unlock the house and enter and hear an announcement, of a play, and are given the surprise of their life. The spot light falls on Vibha and then on her husband, and the announcer goes on telling about them. As she hears that it is about her, Vibha has a smile on her face. They have not forgotten them after all. As the come in the lights come on and every one claps their hands wishing them a happy anniversary. At the last minute Abhi has taken over Daksh's part, and is standing on the stage with Naina.
Abhi and Naina put on a beautiful pantomime, with song and dance, recounting the love
story of the father and mother.. They clap hands at the performance. As Daksh comes in with his Love Globe all exhausted, he sees Naina with Abhi playing the part meant for him, on the stage. The show gets over, and then, the lights go off again, and a new scene is shown where Abhi proposes to Naina. She is asking him, if this is also a part of the play. But he tells it is real, and she is dazed at the crazy young man's move. Nothing happens, even when Abhi kneels and offers his ring, but it affects Daksh, who is so upset, that he goes to the terrace and destroys all the structure he has made for her, and kneels down, and with hands flaying and cries, "Naina..."
