Fill the rooms, with balloons,
and stuff some mouths with sweets.
Make a list to do it all,
and then enjoy the pleasant treats.
Gather some faith, earn some hope,
make the most of this beautiful day.
gather it all, just to give it all
spread the joy, it is your day.
I wish you a very
Happy Birthday!
Connection
What exactly does one mean by connection ' is it something when we are relate to some other person, is it a link that associates us with someone, or is it a bond that ties us to someone who we have loved since we have known love.
For the story or OS which you will read, the last definition describes it. It is a bond that ties us to someone whom we have loved since we have known love.
The story below is dedicated to my sweet and lovely soul sis ' Rakhi. It is her story, her love story. A story through which I have tried to unsuccessfully explain the connection that she shares with her love, our jiju ' Siddhartha (if the spelling is wrong, please forgive me). The story is a mixture of some real life incidents and some fictional. This is my attempt to make her birthday special, hope she likes it (hope you like it my ss'love you).
Kolkata
A young girl was entering her neighbours house in the morning shouting "Sid, where are you, itni der ho gayi hai."
Sid ' I'm already ready. Thoda patience toh rakha karo.
Rakhi ' mujhe lecture baad me dena. Aunty kahan hai?
Sid ' aur kahan, your favourite place, kitchen.
Rakhi ' yeyyy, matlab breakfast me kuch accha milne wala hai.
Sid ' tu apne ghar me breakfast kyun nahi karti, roz yahan aa jati hai.
Rakhi just showed his her tongue and went to the kitchen where his mom was cooking.
Rakhi and Sid were childhood friends along with being neighbours. They used to play together, fight together, and spend most of their time together. Since they were neighbours, they used to spend their time in each other's house. Growing up together always has its benefits and drawbacks, like this next incident.
Rakhi and Sid were playing with Sid's friends. As Rakhi was a close friend and neighbour, Sid's friends knew her and didn't mind her playing with them.
Subrato ' hey rakhi, how are you??
Rakhi ' I'm fine subrat, how are you?
Sid ' ho gaya tumhara mel milap, to lets go and play.
Subrato ' what is his problem?
(Whispering in her ear)
Rakhi ' how would I know?
Subrato ' but you are with him most of the time, tujhe nahi pata ko kisko pata.
Rakhi ' haa, wo to hai'.
Sid ' come on, lets go.
Subrato and rakhi ' coming.
Later in the day
Sid ' you will no longer be playing with me.
Rakhi ' what? Why?
Sid ' bas maine bol diya na.
Rakhi ' nahin main nahi manungi. I want to play with you guys.
Sid ' just do as I say. (in a stern voice)
Rakhi ' fine. If you want that, don't ever talk to me again.
Sid ' kya karun main is ladki ka, gussa toh hamesha iski naak par chadha rehta hai.
Somehow Sid managed to convince her, because she herself was not able to stay away from him for so long. He would always be there for her, whether be it studies or play.
A class 7 incident (Rakhi in class 7, don't know in which class was jiju)
Rakhi was sitting on a bench outside the school, and had Tiffin in her hands filled with biscuits. She started to eat one, and then she threw it away. Sid saw her doing that. He came beside her and sat, said nothing.
Rakhi ' hey, what are you doing here? You don't usually come here at this time.
Sid --'''.
Rakhi ' bolo na.
Sid -- ''''.
Rakhi ' why are u not talking to me?
Sid -- ''''''
Rakhi ' did I do something?
Sid ' why did you throw the biscuit away? (a little bit shouting at her)
( Rakhi starts crying)
Rakhi ' wo, *sob* because *sob* i *sob* don't like it *sob*
Sid ' can't yell at her because she is crying ' (talks softly)'if you don't like anything, just say no.
Rakhi ' but main mana kaise karun?
Sid ' just try to make them understand the reason behind it.
Rakhi- matlab
Sid ' uff'.see if you don't like something, you can always say no. You don't have to say yes all the time.
Rakhi ' but will they understand?
Sid ' bilkul karenge. But haan next time se don't throw things away like that. Ok.
Rakhi ' ok.
After that she never threw anything away. Sid had some magic on her. The thing which no one was able to make her understand or agree, he would do that in a minute. He was always special to her, but she realized it only later.
