CHARACTER SKETCH
Ansah – Completed her Doctor Degree; now practicing as a Dentist in Sydney. Her hometown is in Hong Kong but she shifted to Sydney for her future career options.
Jyoti – Completed her MBA degree; now works with an MNC in Sydney only.
Their friendship – they started as online friends, but soon became the best of friends. Both were more than happy to know that they will be together in Sydney since they haven't even met each other. But to their dismay, their working places were situated at other ends. But they made a pact that they would always have their morning coffee and breakfast at the small restaurant that was situated exactly in between their working places. They would always meet there for their morning chatter and coffee and some other thing also.
Ansah – where were u?? itni der ho gayi. You are full 5 min late
Jyoti – sorry yaar. Today I have a presentation that is why I was late. So tell me what's new? How is your flatmate? Is she still angry at you? Are you even listening to me?
(While saying this, she was all the time engrossed in her mobile)
Ansah – hmmm…
Jyoti – what hmm??
Ansah – he is here…
Jyoti – what? (she just stopped midway and kept her phone aside)
Ansah – haaye….
Jyoti – saut kahin ki. You didn't even tell me he entered. All the while enjoying by yourself.
(both of them were just staring at the same direction)
Ansah – what can I do? You were busy with your phone. I thought of not disturbing you.
Jyoti – just shut up. Let me enjoy.
Ansah – saut. Don't look at him that way. He is all mine.
Jyoti – in your dreams. He is all mine.
(both of their were glued to one person, the object of their affection. He was every girls dream man. Yes he was Maan Singh Khurana. The most famous businessman from India, and was now setting up his new unit in Sydney.)
But what they were unaware of was that there are others also watching them.
At another corner of the restaurant two guys were sitting looking at them.
Guy1 – I like the one on right
Guy2 – I know n thank god for that, because I like the one on left.
Guy 1 – but when are we going to make a move?
Guy 2 – maddy if you are so eager, why don't you go ahead?
Maddy – no way, you are the charmer, why don't you?
Guy 2 – but when it comes to her, I just don't know what to say.
Maddy – you sissy
Guy 2 – hello, look who's talking

(Both of them used to come there everyday at the same time, before the girls so that they can just look at them, unaware of the fact that the girls were drooling at some other man.)
Maddy – Damon today we have to do something. It's already been 1 month.
Damon – yes, we have to. Why don't we do one thing, you go after mine n I'll go after yours?
Maddy – what??
Damon – I mean we ….
(He explained what they have to do in order to take the next step. Both agreed and now it was time.)
(Maddy – from the serial Khuda aur Mohabbat; Damon – from Vampire Diaries.)
(Both of them came out of their reverie as their mobiles buzzed.)
Jyoti – shit, I'm late.
Ansah – me too
Jyoti – ye kisi din bahut bhaari padne waala hai.
Ansah – then u leave it.
Jyoti – not even in your dreams.
Ansah – pata hai meri saut. Bye now.
Jyoti – bye dear. See you tomorrow.
(Both rushed out in opposite directions. But were brought to a halt when some called them.)
Maddy – Wait. Hi there. How are you?
Jyoti – do I know you?
Maddy – actually no. but I know know.
Jyoti – lagata hai ye koi stalker hai (thinking)—listen you freak. You better go away from here. Otherwise I'll call the cops.
Maddy – no please don't. I want to talk to u about her.
Jyoti—her?? Who is her?
Maddy – ansah. The girl you were with.
Jyoti – do you know her? (shocked and puzzled)
Maddy – yes and no.
Jyoti – meaning?
Maddy – I am in love with her. Can you please help me?
Jyoti – what? When? How?
Maddy explained her everything. Of course not telling her that about Damon and him drooling over them.
Maddy – so you see. I really like no love her. Please can you at leat help me talk to her?
Jyoti – raising a brow – ok , give me some time. You can give me your number and I'll call you if I think you are good for her and not lying to me.
Maddy – thank you so much.
They exchanged numbers and went their ways. Maddy was very happy as finally his dream might come true.
Damon – hey there. Please can I talk to you for one moment?
Ansah – why? are you hurt? Injured? (She was asking this as she was in her doctor's dress and thought he called her for medical assistance.)
Damon – oh no. nothing like that.
Ansah – then what?
Damon – taking a deep breath – I am in love with your friend. I really like her, no I love her as I said before. And I would like to know her better, to talk to her, but I can't seem to be able to. Can you please help me?
(He said that in one breath without even stopping. And ansah just watched him with an open mouth.)
Ansah – what?
Damon – well…..
Ansah – well what? Do you think I will help a complete stranger to get close to my friend?
Damon – please. I really do love her. And I just want you to give me a chance. Please. (making a charming face or actually a puppy face.)
Ansah – thought for some time – ok fine. But I need some time to think about it.
Damon – thank you so much. Here please take my card, my number is written there. You can call me.
Ansah – fine.
(They both left from there.)

After few days.
It was a holiday in Sydney. Both Ansah and Jyoti thought about Damon and Maddy. As they had talked to them, they were sure that they were good for their friend. But were thinking about how to make them meet.
Jyoti – called Ansah – hey dear. Kya kar rahi hai?
Ansah – hi. Don't ask.
Jyoti – why what happened?
Ansah – you know India – Pakistan match is going on. And I called home to talk to my family. And instead of asking about me, they were busy with the game.
Jyoti – laughing – uncle and aunty fighting again?
Ansah – aur nahi to kya. I thought of calling them on skype and talk to them. But they said call after the match is over. Can you believe it?
Jyoti – of course I can (laughing). They are my uncle aunt and I know them.
Ansah – just shut up.
Jyoti – ok fine. Accha listen if you are free, let's go to the mall for some shopping and then we will go the Sydney opera house.
Ansah – shopping. I'm ready. At least kuch mind deviate to hoga.
Jyoti – ok then, will meet you at XYZ mall.
Ansah – ok dear. See you there.
Meanwhile Jyoti called Maddy to meet them at the mall, similarly Ansah called Damon to meet them there.
Both the guys were really excited as now it was time that they would finally meet the girl whom they loved and would be able to talk to them.
At the shopping mall
Ansah – this girl. Mujhe bula kar khud abhi tak nahi aayi. Hai rabba. And that Damon, I told him to be here on time, and he is also not here. If she sees me with him, god knows what she will think.
(Meanwhile Jyoti on the other hand was waiting for Maddy at the entrance of the mall. She had called him to meet her there as she didn't want Ansah to question her.)
Jyoti – where is that guy? I'm gonna kill him. I told him to be on time and he….ugghhh… Ansah will be so angry on me. Where is he?
Just then both the guys came running as they knew they were late. One rushed towards the entrance and the other inside.
Inside the mall
Ansah – finally look who decided to show up.
Damon – I'm really sorry. We got stuck in traffic.
Ansah – we?
Damon – yeah my friend. He is just parking the car and then will come.
Ansah – why would he be here? Are you afraid of talking to her alone?
Damon – afraid and me? No way.
Ansah – rolling her eyes and murmuring – jab hi to mere paas aaya tha help ke liye.
Damon – did you say something?
Ansah – no, nothing. So what do you plan to do?
Damon – what do I plan to do? You called me here. I thought you had a plan.
Ansah – you boys are of no use. Now I have to think.
Meanwhile at the entrance
Jyoti – where the h*** have you been?
Maddy – sorry. Got stuck in traffic.
Jyoti – late. Can never be on time.
Maddy – I said sorry.
Jyoti – fine. Now listen, I'm going to say this only once….
Maddy – ok.
Jyoti – don't interrupt.
(Jyoti then explained him the plan and how will he meet her)
(On the other hand Ansah and Damon also made a plan)
Ansah – saw jyoti coming towards her – where have you been?
Jyoti – nothing dear. Just some stupid guys were bothering me.
Ansah – what? Kaun the? Chal abhi unhe sabak sikhate hain.
Jyoti – don't worry. A very nice guy came and helped me out.
Ansah – thinking to herself – main to isse kisi aur ke saath fix karna chahti thi and here ye naya ladka kahan se aa gaya.
Jyoti – kya soch rahi hai?
Ansah – kuch nahi. So tune usse thnx kaha.
Jyoti – kaha aur lunch par bhi invite kiya.
Ansah – kya ? lunch par? (thinking – ye sab kya ho raha hai. Mere plan ka kya hoga.)
Jyoti – kyun kya hua?
Ansah – kuch nahi. Chal shopping karte hain.
Jyoti – ok. Chal.
During lunch
Jyoti – I have called up my friend, he will come, and plz be nice.
Ansah – I am always nice.
Jyoti – I know I know. (rolling her eyes)
Just then Maddy enters with Damon.
Jyoti – here he is.
Ansah – which one?
Jyoti – the one on the right.
The moment Ansah saw Maddy. She was, what can be say, flat, just staring at him. Meanwhile Jyoti all the time was staring at Damon. Both of the guys came and sat at the table.
They started chatting with each other, and soon became so engrossed that when people saw them, it was like two couples having their meals.
Soon they started dating……

They still had their morning sessions, but now they were four instead of two.
Jyoti – wo aa gaya.
Ansah – ab to chod de.
Jyoti – main kyun chodun. You leave if you want.
Ansah – no way my saut.
Jyoti – same here my saut.
Juat then the guys entered and asked them what they were doing. They just hugged then and said nothing, just winked at each other.
They might have boyfriends, or husbands, but they will always remain sauts for the one man….Maan Singh Khurana.
