Part  16

@ the drawing room

Dadi is sitting on the couch. Jugnu mama comes there and sits next to dadi. But dadi didn't notice that. She is lost in her own thoughts

Jug: maaji!

Dadi: ...

Jug:(calls lil bit louder)  maaji!

Dadi comes out of her thoughts

Dadi: haan jugnu beta

Jug: maaji! Aap yesa kya soch rahe hain? Koi problem hai kya?

Dadi takes a deep breath and says

Dadi: jugnu beta! Don't you know what is happening in this house? Everything is looking like a riddle. Ye geet kaun hai? And her younger brother wo Vicky...

Dadi thinks something and stops in the middle

Jug: boliye maaji! Why did you stop in the half way? What do you think about Vicky?

Maan comes there and overhears the conversation between dadi and jugnu mama about vicky. maan hides behind a pillar and listens to their conversation

Dadi: wo...wo Vicky...

Jug: aage boliye maaji

Dadi: that Vicky is reminding me of someone

M: (st) dadima is also feeling the same about Vicky as i did. But Vicky is geet's brother?. Phir ye kaise ho saktha?

Jug: (st) maaji is also having the same doubt what i had when i saw Vicky. Iska matlab...vicky is the same boy. But geet is saying that he is her brother. If geet and Vicky are siblings then geet is also...

Jugnu mama couldn't think beyond that and he shouts

Jug: nahi...nahi

Dadi and maan are shocked by jugnu mama's shout

Dadi: jugnu beta! Kya hua?

Jug: wo maaji! Kuch nai

Dadi: kuch nai? Beta are you hiding something from me?

Jug: yesa kuch nai hai maaji

M: (st) what mamaji is trying to hide from dadima?

Dadi: jugnu beta! Already i am hell confused of what is happening here? Now you too are adding fuel to it. Ab bathayiye ki baath kya hai

Jug: wo maaji!...geet

At the mention of geet's name maan's heart skips a beat

M: (st) geet?  what did jugnu mama think about geet? why did he shout like that? Is geet already known to him?

Dadi: geet? Beta aap geet ke barre me kya soch rahe hai?

Jug: (st) without confirming the matter, how can i say this to maaji. No jugnu. Don't jump into conclusions. You should talk to geet about this

Dadi: jugnu! Aap chup kyun rahe hai?

Maan is also anxiously waiting for jugnu mama's reply. Jugnu mama tries to cover up the issue

Jug: maaji! Mujhe neend aaraha hai. Let us talk about this latter

Dadi: par beta...

Jugnu mama immediately leaves for his room. Maan and dadi are confused by jugnu's behaviour

Dadi: ye jugnu ko kya hogaya? Why is he behaving so strangely?

Maan comes from behind the pillar and comes to dadima

M: dadima! Yahan kya horaha hai?

Hearing maan's voice, dadi is shocked

Dadi:(st) maan would have heard my conversation  with jugnu. Hena? What if maan comes to know what i am feeling about Vicky? No. i shouldn't let maan to know about this. Is maan also feeling the same about Vicky? If he also feels the same, then why did he hug Vicky in the morning? maan's heart is full of hatred for that person. Then how would he hug Vicky who reminds him of that person. Mujhe kuch samaj nai aarha hai

Maan is irritated by dadi's silence

M: dadima! Mein aap se kuch puch raha hu

Dadi: wo maan...what are you asking beta?

M: what is happening in this house dadima?

Dadi tries to cover up vicky's issue from maan. So she asks maan...

Dadi: maan! Wo hi tho mein bhi puch rahi hu ki is ghar me ho kya raha hai?

M: dadima! Ye sab aap ke vaja se horaha hai

Dadi: maine kya kiya maan?

M: why did you allow geet to stay in our house for three months?

Dadi: maan! I didn't want to repeat my past mistake

M: dadima! Mein apne past ke baare me nai puch raha hu. It will be good, if you don't talk about that person. Samji hai aap?

Dadi goes mute

Maan's curiosity to know about geet's whereabouts is killing him. So he asks dadima directly

M: dadima! Ab mujhe ye batayiye ki geet kahan hai?

Dadi is surprised and confused by maan's question.

Dadi: (st) in the morning, maan only said na...to send geet out of the mansion. Now why is he enquiring about her? That means...what geet said about her marriage with maan may be true. Hena? i must use this opportunity to find out what is going on in maan's mind

M: dadima! I am waiting

Dadima reverts back...

Dadi: maan! Just now you argued wiht me for having allowed geet to stay here. And in the morning too, you only said to send geet out of the mansion. Now why are you asking about her? Are you missing her?

Maan is dumbstruck by dadi's retaliation

M: (st) ye maine kya kar diya? Why i am enquiring about geet?

Dadi: boliye maan! Are you missing geet?

Maan is irritated by dadi's question and he shouts...

M: bas. Stop it dadima

Dadi smirks.

Dadi: (st) why maan's behaviour tells me that he is being affected by geet? Had maan known geet already? Or is he getting affected by her since yesterday? What is happening to him?

Maan reads dadi's face and he says in stern voice

M: dadima! I don't have anything to do with that geet? Aap apna imagination ko ban keejiye

 

Dadi: if you don't have anything to do with her, then why are you asking about her maan?

Maan is more annoyed by dadi's question and he shouts

M: do you want to know the reason for sure?

Dadi: haan

M: i want to confirm to myself if geet has gone completely out of my life or not. I don't want any woman in my life. Samje hai aap?

Saying this, Maan walks out of the drawing room. Dadi is confused

Dadi: is maan saying the truth?
