Written Update May 7, 2011

All the men are having tea and the women are serving them breakfast. Gulaal says that Jamna did not come for breakfast and skipped dinner so she had gone to give her food. Kesar arrives. Mota Bha tells everyone that on Dushyant's advice the new school will go by the name "Vasant" and the government agreed as well. Everyone gets emotional and happy. Mota Bha says that the Panchayat wants that this should be announced in front of the entire village happily, so there is a function outside the school the next day. Gulaal is in tears and excuses herself. She shuts the door to her room and stands in front of Vasant's photo thinking of his words reflecting his dreams for his village. She tells Vasant that his dreams are going to get fulfilled and everyone is very happy, but without Vasant... Kesar comes from behind and Gulaal sees his reflection in Vasant's photo and hides her tears. Kesar asks why she hides her tears for Vasant, there is nothing wrong in them. Gulaal says that these are tears of happiness that Vasant's dream is going to get fulfilled. She weeps and Kesar first walks away, then turns around and asks her to remain ready in the evening.

Dushyant goes to Jamna with fruits and asks her to eat something. Jamna refuses and says that nobody is her own in the family, not even her son, Dushyant is her son but he supports others. She talks about Kesar's insulting her and taking Talli to her room and nobody said anything, even her husband supported Talli instead of her and compared Talli to Kanchan, and now the school's name is Vasant. Dushyant says that everyone was happy with Jamna's niece's wedding and it was Dushyant's idea to name the school after Vasant. Jamna cries and says that despite being an outsider Talli is considered family, and Jamna being family is like an outsider. Even Dushyant doesn't care about his mother. She says that she has decided to marry Dushyant, he refuses to ever marry and walks away, Jamna tells him that she will marry him soon at any cost and he will have to accept it.

The women prepare for the puja (prayer ceremony) and talk about their pride in seeing Vasant's name on the school, and Vasant would have been so happy had he been alive. The one who sowed the seed is not there to see the fruits. Gulaal says that they are here and should experience the joy. Kesar asks Gulaal if she is ready and to come with him, Jamna asks her to go. Paan Baa tells Jamna that since hearing about naming the school after Vasant Gulaal's sorrows have appeared in her eyes but she will never let anyone know that, its good Kesar took her out.

Gulaal's parents return home after shopping, and Kesar brings Gulaal to her parents' place. They are all happy seeing each other. Gulaal's father tells her how badly her mother wanted to meet her. Reva is happy seeing her as well. Her mother tells Kesar they should have told her Gulaal was coming, they would have gotten something for her and made something, he says that they are family and don't need to call before coming. He got a lot of stuff because he was coming to Reva's in-laws place. Yogesh comes there and is happy seeing Gulaal. Kesar says that Reva was telling him that Yogesh is working very hard. Yogesh says obviously, he doesn't have his father's inheritance (can't believe what an about turn Yogesh has taken, he used to be good). Everyone's face falls hearing this. His mother asks him to go freshen up and asks Reva to bring tea.

Talli and Sudha are cooking and Talli insists that she will make all the food. She says that she wants to make Gulaal happy, Gulaal will feel so happy seeing that everything is ready. Paan Baa tells her to go study because her exams are coming up but Talli refuses. Paan Baa says that it is good that Talli is learning so much.

Gulaal and Kesar are returning in the jeep, and Gulaal is happy. She says that he should have told her so they would have taken Talli with them. Kesar says that previously when he took Talli it became a big deal, now when he didn't will Gulaal make it a big deal. They smile and continue on their way. Kesar sees the driver driving another car, the same guy who drove Vasant's jeep during the accident. Kesar starts following him. Gulaal asks him to slow down and asks why he is following the car. He continues driving. A truck comes in between and Kesar could not see the car make a turn, and he loses track.

Talli is in her room and thinks about Kesar. Gulaal comes there and Talli is upset that Gulaal and Kesar left her without telling her. Gulaal says that Kesar took her to meet her parents and did not even tell her beforehand. Talli says that he must have realized his mistake and feels happy. Gulaal says that once Kesar starts fulfilling his responsibilities she can fulfill her promise to Talli. Mota Bha hears this.

Gulaal is in front of Vasant's photo with tears the next morning. Mota Bha tells her that he knows how sad Gulaal is, but nothing is going to change by being sad, and today is a big day for them and Vasant, and he would also want them to be happy. She asks for his permission to go to the temple. He says he will send Dushyant with her. Kesar says that he will take Gulaal.

Kesar takes Gulaal on his bike. Two men sitting outside the temple look at them. Gulaal prays that the Goddess should continue to be benevolent so all Vasant's dreams are fulfilled. Mota Bha gives instructions on the ceremony in the school, he says that he will wait for Gulaal and Kesar. One of the men outside the temple says that Vasant's widow's life has finally seen light, a ritual that was performed many years ago (deeyarvattu) is finally being enjoyed after so many years, and both men laugh and do high fives. The other man says it is good, else what life does a widow have, a widow should be lucky to have a man else how many years will she spend alone. Kesar gets angry and hits the two men angrily. Gulaal tries to stop him. Mota Bha and Paan Baa are worried waiting for the two. Kesar runs after the men and continues to hit them. The villagers pull Kesar back. Gulaal is shocked seeing this angry side of Kesar. Mota Bha says that it was a mistake to send Kesar with Gulaal, and he is worried that Kesar should not make a mistake that this big day's memory is associated with something negative.

Yogesh returns home and Reva asks him why he returned home early. Yogesh expresses frustration with Kesar and says that he doesn't think of anyone else. Yogesh tells her about Kesar's beating a man so brutally that he had to be taken to the hospital, and the man was Yogesh's boss' brother, and Yogesh may get fired.

Mota Bha yells at Kesar and tells him that he knows it was important for him and Gulaal to be at the ceremony, why did Kesar not arrive. One one hand the entire village speaks well of Vasant and on the other hand Kesar is behaving so badly, Mota Bha is embarrassed to call him his son. He asks Kesar for a reply. Jamna adds fuel to the fire. Gulaal tries to defend Kesar but Mota Bha doesn't listen, he tells Gulaal that since childhood she hid Kesar's mistakes and he doesn't want to hear anything. Kesar says that he has crossed all his limits today because that man said bad things about Gulaal, what else could he have done, listened quietly and allowed Gulaal to be insulted? Mota Bha says that by beating the men Gulaal's respect was not increased, it is not important to give an answer using violence. Dushyant says that he thinks Kesar did the right thing, the men must have said something that angered Kesar, had he been in Kesar's place he would have done the same thing.

Precap: Kesar tells Talli angrily that if anyone says anything bad about Gulaal he will beat him even more than he beat the two men. Talli asks him if he would do the same if someone said something bad about Talli. Kesar looks at her. Gulaal listens in to this conversation.
