1. both bride and groom wakes up before sunrise & take food after which both have to fast till their marriage is over.
2. a puja is organised in the bride's & groom's family known as ' briddhishraddha ' to take the blessings of the respective families forefathers.
3. the groom's family sends gifts to the bride's family for the bride as well as her family members which also includes a big full grown fish (compulsory) , sweets & the haldi for the haldi rasam. yeh haldi pehle dulhe par chadhaya jaata hai aur phir wahi haldi dulhan ke liye bheji jaati hai.
4. members of the bride's family goes to the groom's family for the ' aashirwaad ' rasam.
5. in the main marriage ceremony, the bride is brought to the mandap carried on a low tool ( as shown in the Eno ad ).
