So that's how Elena turns into a vampire. When she DIES, her link with Alaric will be broken. They can then kill him.

FINALE promo, this looks so much thrilling and scary too..(but seems they will keep us stuck btw the trio) is Elena gonna die? and become a vampire?

this means she will be able to wear-off Damon's compulsion in s02e08 and also she will remember how she was saved in that accident, remembering Stefan's compulsion as well.

Holy heck! The penultimate episode of Vampire Diaries Season 3 was full of action and death. It was full of resurrection too, but at least one character is down and out — for now. Klaus (Joseph Morgan) was the victim of a nasty desiccation spell, meaning he's bloodless and lifeless.

Though the gang happily celebrated Klaus's incapacitation with shots, Alaric (Matt Davis) is still determined to take out the OV permanently. Do you think he'll succeed in finding Klaus, or will the vamp be on ice until Season 4?
