You mean 9X 😛

Nah, I still believe Vaishno Devi is a form of Shakti, not Vishnu's sister, she's waiting for Kalki like Ram told her to. How is Parvati Maa the sister of Vishnu?

Also, not all form of Maa/Shakti mean that they're the same, like so, Vaishno Devi doesn't have to be the sister of Vishnu, because then, that means all the Bhagwans are brothers and sisters as they're all from One anyways...

Yeah 9x. I often end up mixing up the two. My apologies.

Shakti/Parvati is Vishnu's sister. Not biological sister but divine/cosmic sister. Almost every Puraan, Epic and Sahasranamas say so. Adi-Shakti Herself is only Shiva's cosmic consort. While other partial manifestations of Shakti like Lakshmi, Saraswati etc are the consorts of Vishnu, Brahma and other Gods. That is why they all are also known as divine daughters of Shakti. Markandeya Puran names Lakshmi and Saraswati as the first two children of Shakti.

But this theory seems to fail in this particular case of Vaishno Devi. She has almost all the attributes of Durga, but is linked with Vishnu instead of Shiva.

If anyone has any Puraanic/Epic source of information about Vaishno Devi, please do share.

According to the Devi Puran  Devi Vaishnavi is the incarnation of  Vishnu maya, Vishni Maya is the same as the girl child of Yashoda

She is his power and not his spouse

The story of Kalki does not talk of a marital link up
It only says that at he end of Kaliyug Lord Vishnu in the form of Kalki will take his power from Vaishnavi and together they will slay the demons

Vishnu Maya and Durga are the same according to Devi Puran, also the Puran saus that Vishnu and Maha Kali {Parvati} were manifested  together and hence are divine siblings

Also Branha and Mahalakshmi and Shiva and MahaSaravati were created together by the Godless Adya shakti

Thanks all of you for your inputs. You may discuss about Goddesses from other Myths too, as you can see I have edited the post to include them. Here's one nice picture I found - a typical Bengali portrayal of Durga with her kids.

As per Durga saptashati, Kali, Lakshmi & Saraswati have 4 hands. Mahakali has 10 hands, Mahalakshmi has 18 hands & Mahasaraswati has 8 hands. From Mahalakshmi, Brahama & Lakshmi are menifested, respectivly from Mahakali Shankara & Saraswati, from Mahasaraswati, Vishnu & Gauri are menifested. Out of these Vishnu got Lakshmi, Shankara got Gauri & Brahma got Saraswati. With their wives Brahma looked after creation, Vishnu preservation & Shankara distruction.
