Pakistan to play final if rain ruins Mohali battle
As per the tournament rules established by the International Cricket Council (ICC), in case rains abandon play at Mohali on Wednesday, the match will be played again on Thursday.
However, if rain continued to rule the proceedings and match couldn't be played, then Pakistan will travel to Mumbai to face Sri Lanka in the final of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2011.
Before finally calling it an abandoned game, the match officials will look to make possible a match of 20 overs between the two sides.
The reason why Pakistan will benefit from the rain is their performance in the group stages of the tournament where they finished first after winning five of their six matches, while on the other hand India finished third after losing to South Africa and playing a tied match against England
