Geet had been unable to sleep that night, next day would be mehendi and since Geet was a child she was always fond of all the wedding rituals. She sat upright and started thinking of the designs she wanted to have on her pretty pink hands... Whatever the design may be ' Maan Singh Khurana' name was sure to have a certain place in her mehendi. Next morning she got ready early as they had to go out for some shopping! Geet bought herself a book on mehendi designs- such craze she had for mehendi.!! At the cottage... she started drooling over the books to select a design worthy to have Maan's name written on it. She was dreaming about Maan when her phone rang. Her room-mate at BHU- rashmi had called her.
Haan bol...! rashmi...ki hoya?
Main theek hoon...tujhe ek happy-shappy news deni hai!
Kya news!! bol jaldi bol...mere paas time nahi hai! aaj mere friend ki mehendi hai...mujhe na itni excitement ho rahi hai na by god!
Jaanti hai...humari holidays ek mahine aur badh gayi...college ka renovation ho raha hai...isliye! achcha sun rakhti hoon...mummiji bula rahi hai...bye !
Haan- bye-shye!! mamma...papaji!! suniye suniye Geet screamed as she struggled her way through the people towards her mom-dad's room... On the way she had another collision with Maan Singh Khurana....Maan was on a video conference with Adi

Maan regains his consciousness aaj kal ki ladkiyan...uff! aankhen band kar ke kyun chalti hai. meri conference kharab kar di... Geet whispers to herself hey babaji...mooh to aise bana raha hai jaise saari galti meri ho...(to Maan) Hey mister, aise akad kyun dikha rahe ho sirf meri galti nahi hai...samjhe aap...(while walking) pata nahi kaise-kaise log aa jaate hai...shaadiyon mein...akdu kahin ka... mamma- papaji...aapko ek happy news deni hai!... This time Maan's anger is suppressed by the admire that how much a girl can be sweet, chubby and chatter box...
Geet gets ready for the mehendi and walks down Karan's room to see if he is ready or not. She enters without knocking and then turns back almost immediately. chi-chi babaji...kiski shakal dikha di aapne...us akdu ki...woh bhaiyya ke kamre mein kya kar raha hai...chaddo baad mein bhaiyya se pooch loongi. Geets walks out. Maan calls( probably her) as 'jhalli' she stops to listen to what he has to say,

Hindustan mein ho...hindi bolne me sharam aati hai? khair boliye...kya kaam hai?
umm...tumhara bracelet mere paas reh gaya tha... jab subah mujhse bhidi thi na...tab mere cell phone se chipak gaya tha...

At the mehendi... Geet endorses Maan's name on her palms and runs to the entire building showing to as many people as she can but unfortunately misses out Maan. In the gloam of mid-night Maan sees some hands out from the curtain endorsing his name...He is curious to know who is the one who dares to do that... Just when he advances towards the hand...Daadima calls him. He at once attends to her wishes and when he comes back to enquire about the hands...he finds that the place is empty and the hands are gone! That night, Maan has a troubled sleep.
Maan is 13 years old and he is playing with a girl. She has a chubby face which is quite familiar. They are playing in the balcony. The girl occasionally gazes at the kites flying high up in the sky. At the spur of the moment a kite falls in their backyard. the girl stands on the parapet to see the place where the kite has fallen. When she turns back to move towards the door, she slips and down she goes and falls on the ground with a thud.
Geeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet... Maan wakes up from his sleep and finds himself..wet with sweat. He heaves a sigh of relief when he comes to know that he was dreaming. It was the first night he dreamt of Geet. He is regretting for forgetting Geet Main Geet ko kaise bol sakta hoon... agar daadima ne Geet ko bata diya ki main use bhool gaya tha to? woh to toot jayegi...itne saalon mein maine use ek letter bhi nahi likha...meri jhansi ki raani...mujhe maar dalegi. Maan is lying lowly in his bed, afraid of going to sleep, afraid of reliving that dream again. Sun's first rays enter Geet's room and fall on her pretty cheeks. She turns around and sleeps in the other direction. It's 8:00 am and Geet is wide awake now glancing at her mehendi which had turned reddish brown. She has a strange shine in her eyes as if trying to see her Maan's face in the name written on it. Rano enters Geet's room- Geet beta, aapko ek khush-khabri deni hai. Aapke Maan yahaan aane waale hain...shaadi mein... Mamma!! kya baat kar rahe ho sachchi! OMG ...kitni khushi ho rahi hai mujhe thankyou so much mamma~~!!~~ love you!
Geet attires herself in a purple salwaar-suit and reaches for breakfast. She exchanges her looks with Karan as they see Arohi entering the hall. She pokes Karan. After the breakfast, she is pacing towards her room. Maan calls her Good Morning jhalli! Geet turns back Are waah, gud morning akdu! Kaise hain aap...sab changa. Maan gets a call from Adi Jhalli ek minute, Haan Adi bolo...tum har waqt ghalat time pe call kyun karte ho? Ssss...Sirrrr woh pune waale client project band karne ko keh rahe hai, ek baar aap baat kar lete tt..to... Adi tumse ek kaam dhang se nahi hota...do din office choda aur kaam kharab, aise to meri company band ho jayegi...Ssss...Soo....Sorr....Sorry sir...aap ek baar unse baat kar lijiye...woh log project delay ho jaane ke karan naraaz hain... Shut up Adi aur mujhe unse baat karvao... Geet was listening to this conversation...by god babaji...kya personality hai...itna gussa.itna rob! Akhir dost bhi to mera- Geet Handa ka hai! Maan is tensed after the call, the project is finally closed in spite of Maan's continuous request. Kya hua, koi panga ho gaya kya? bata do sharmao mat! aakhir jhalli bhi to aapki dost hai ki nahi! A sweet smile swept across Maan's lips, she acted as his stress-buster... Tumhari jaisi jhalli hote main tensed kaise ho sakta hun? Geet pats herself Haan waise woh to hai!! Chalo bahar walk ke liye chalte hai...apka mood refresh ho jayega. Jaisi aapki aagya!!
They go for a lovely long walk. They talk a lot. Maan tells about his company while Geet tells him about her college, her medical studies. maan forgets about the pune-issue and smiles at Geet's innocence. Most of the time its Geet talking and Maan listening. babaji dekhiye na kab se main bole jaa rahi hoon...aisa lagta hai main khud se baat kar rahi hoon..kuch bolte hi nahi! Kuch kaha tumne? Naa..main kahaan zyaada baat karti hoon...maine to maun vrat rakha hai...nai? Meri taang kheench rahi ho na? Na baba na...mmeri itni himmat ki main akdu ki taang kheenchu... Geet meri daadi ka call hai...chalo ghar chalte hai...theek hai chalo...oops chaliye!
It's late night at her room and Geet is very curious to see Maan's photo. She even opens the envelope and then stops...Nahi Geet, kal shaadi ke din...us din dekhna apne Maan ki photo...
In Maan's room, Daadima is applying oil in Maan's head. Maan bete, jaante hai...aapki Geet ki photo hai humare paas...dekhenge... Sach mein daadima! dikhaiiyye...nahi mujhe de dijiye main kal dekhoonga...shayad main usse mila hoon! Lijiye bete.! Daadimaa leaves. Maan is gazing at the envelope... He is curious about seeing Geet's face...
