I don't know if many of you know (Bee shared this information with me), but Nivedita who plays Runjhun writes very beautiful poetry.

Here's her holi wish from House Arrest on Zee News (18th March Episode), I do believe this is thought up by her and not borrowed words - She also teaches (in the video) how to make Gujhiya (which is an Indian Sweet popular during holi)

Aapki holi chalo ek naya rang banaye...
May your holi bring new colors...

Kesariya ko thoda hara rang lagaye....
A little green to go with the saffron...

Mitthi Gujhiyon ke sang kuch sevaiya parodse...
Serve a little vermicelli with savory sweetmeat...

Jamato me phir apni toli banaaye...
From the crowds make new friends...
(that's not the literal translation but what I think it means)

Bahut jal chuki sar jameen ki lakeerein....
The borders between the lands have burned long enough...

Aapki holi chalo thodi nafrat jalaaye....
May your holi burn some hatred away...

Aapki holi chalo ek naya rang banaaye....
May your holi bring new colors...

Again pardon my translation...it doesn't completely convey the entire essence of the poem...but just the gist of it.

i love her sweet poem. Its good to know that she is not only a beautiful talented actress, but also a talented writer. 👍🏼

I'm loving this girl Niveditha more and more .... beautiful / awesome actress / poetess / singer ... hats off to this gifted person !

Wafah ... .. your translations were marvellous ... it was like enjoying the poem in 2 languages .... good job , my dear ! 👍🏼

Great job on the translation.

Nivedita is really multi-talented!

BTW, the way she made those Gujiyas made it all look so easy.

Hope you don't mind. Just a slight correction in the poem. Where ever there is 'Aapki' , it is 'Abki'.

'Aapki' -> Yours

'Abki' -> This.

So, where ever there is Aapki, needs to be replaced with Abki.

May this holi, (lets) bring new color...

Abki holi chalo thodi nafrat jalaaye....
May this holi (lets) burn some hatred away...

I think by "new colors" she is talking about making new beginnings/promises this holi.

I think, she means to say (in simple terms):

Lets make new beginnings this holi, Lets make friends by sharing sweets and burn the hatred with our neighbors*. Come lets make this promise this holi.

*neighbors -> people in the neighboring counties.
