Introducing our 3rd Insurgence Convention

We are pleased to announce that we are holding  a convention for fans of The Vampire Diaries  under the brand name INSURGENCE. It will take place between the 3rd and 5th June 2011 at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole Hotel adjacent to the NEC Complex in Birmingham.

CANDICE ACCOLA  - Caroline Forbes

Please welcome Candice Accola  as a special guest. Since the fall of 2009, Candice has appeared as Caroline Forbes in the highly successful   CW series, The Vampire Diaries, based on the original books by   L. J. Smith.

Candice appeared in her first movie, Pirate Camp, in 2007 and has since guest-starred on popular TV series How I Met Your Mother, Supernatural, and Greek. She has also appeared in films such as On the Doll, Juno, Deadgirl, and X's & O's. Candice has continued her professional singing and has appeared as a background singer with Hannah Montana & Miley Cyrus.

ZACH ROERIG - Matt Donovan

Please welcome Zach Roerig as a special guest. Since the fall of 2009, Zach has appeared as Matt Donovan in the highly successful   CW series, The Vampire Diaries, based on the original books by   L. J. Smith. Zachary George "Zach" Roerig is an American actor who is best known for roles of Casey Hughes on As the World Turns, Hunter Atwood on One Life to Live and Matt Donovan on The Vampire Diaries.

MICHAEL TREVINO - Tyler Lockwood

Please welcome Michael Trevino as our 3rd special guest. Since the fall of 2009, Michael has appeared as Tyler Lockwood in the highly successful   CW series, The Vampire Diaries, based on the original books by   L. J. Smith. Michael Trevino first gained recognition in his early twenties, for his role in the Disney Channel telemovie Cow Belles and has guest starred in CSI, 90210, The Riches and Bones.

DAVID ANDERS - John Gilbert

Please welcome to Insurgence 3 DAVID ANDERS. David Anders is an American television and stage actor. He  is best known for his roles as Julian Sark on Alias, and as Adam Monroe on  Heroes. David  guest starred in the TV series The Vampire  Diaries in 2010 and 2011 across 9 episodes as John Gilbert the biological father of Elena.

LAUREN COHAN - Rose

Please welcome to Insurgence 3 LAUREN COHAN. Lauren Cohan is an American actress. Her best known roles to  date are that of the role of Bela Talbot on Supernatural and her role as Rose  on The Vampire Diaries. In March, she joins the television series Chuck in  recurring role playing Vivian as a "charming, sophisticated  socialite" enrolled in Oxford.

FOOD AND SHOPPING AT THE AIRPORT

Just to remind everyone there is a a number of food and shopping outlets in the Airport which is a 5-10 minute walk (or the hotel hoppa may take you) here is the link. As you can see there is a Deli, Pret A Manger, Costa Coffee, Frankie & Benny's, Weatherspoon to name a few and all before Security so these should be available to everyone. You can also order pizzas and other foods from local delivery fast food chains. You don't have to eat in the hotel as it is quite expensive! it shows which areas non traveling public can use and what facilities are available to them.

Convention Packages

Payment for the General Weekend  Tickets are non refundable. Terms and Conditions apply. Packages start from 90 for Adults and 45 for Children aged 16 and under.   Children must be aged 16 or under at time of event to qualify for a Child rate ticket. Children Under 7 can come in FREE with a paying adult, but does not include autographs from the actors attending the event. If autographs are required then they must buy a Child Ticket. Planned Events for Ticket Holders

Free Events include Guest Interviews & Panels over Saturday and Sunday of the event, Free Autographs, Access to the Vendors Room, Evening   Entertainment, Quizzes, Games and Discos.

For an extra charge you can also enjoy these events, a Professional Photo Studio with our guests. The Coffee Lounge, no more than 25 attendees plus one guest for 30-45 minutes. Tickets for these events will either be by auction or from 7.00am from the Ticket Office. Extra Autograph passes are also available to buy as well as 10 x 8's of our guests.

Don't forget to book your Hotel Bedrooms, the more hotel rooms that are sold to attendees the better our relationship is with the hotel, so if you are planning on staying why not stay in the event hotel, it may cost a little bit more but you will benefit from all the activities such as the evening parties. Disabled Facilities

We are pleased to announce that all the function rooms we are using within the hotel have access for wheelchairs. We have arranged space at the front of the stage talks for those attendees who have wheelchairs or find it difficult to move around unassisted.

            There are no strobe effects during the stage talks however there are short intro videos and flash photography at the beginning of the stage talks which may affect some attendees who  suffer from epilepsy & other visual light stimulation effects. Please contact the hotel regarding disabled facilities in the bedrooms. We don't offer discounts on our event tickets however if someone needs assistance to attend the event then please email us to discuss further options.
