MOST women in MY friends circle LOVE being married

They LOVE the symbolism attached with it

They ALL wear mangal sootras
They all wear sindoor despite being in North America

Its WHO WE ARE....... Bhartiya naaris or what ever....... insulting you might want to call them
I think for Khanak that symbolism is PRICELESS

SHE KNOWS what it is to lose the "privilege" of wearing a sindoor and mangal sootra

I am sure feminists are gritting their teeth and fuming at me and would kill me with their bare hands at this point

But I LOVED the fact that it meant so much to Shaan and Khanak

For being a urban/modern guy he UNDERSTANDS what it means to her

Super cute!

Aiyoo di?? why should feminists grit their teeth..women have fought for so long so that women can have more choices...feminisim is not about not wanting/needing men...its about realising our worth...it is about saying we can do and should do what we want...and nothing or noone should stop us...

hell, I wear my toe rings everywhere I go....I used to wear my mangalsutra everywhere too...until it got stolen that is.,...I am very superstitious since then...

but yes...the rest I completely agree...the symbolisim attached to this shanak scene was really really heartwarming

These days very rarely my heart goes thump/plop/ SLAM upon watching a ShaNak scene, but today's did ALL THREE

Vaish,
Back to the promo just saw it

Its LOVELY!
They cannot NOT LOOK good
They just cannot!

I will be really interested in the STORY of  HOW they get there

Not sure if I will be able to watch a sob fest

Seriously!

I usually bail from tragic shows

I have enough in the world around me

I dont want my fave jodi essaying it

I will continue to watch it

But will go on a hiatus may be

thankfully the job shoudl help

Its JUST NOT my cuppa chai

Only desi women feel "liberated" means not displaying your married status
You can wear sindoor and MS and yet be very independent and strong

I have met so many gora women who are happy to wear their wedding rings and yet are some of the most smartest Ive met

Ive seen desi women squirm........

Thats why
