I understand that Salman Khan has a notoriously large amount of fans, for his acting, general appeal as a person and also his good looks. But it is very stupid when people put their infatuation with an actor as enough to neglect/ignore very serious crimes he has committed. This is exactly why Salman Khan still is at large and ultimatley has not paid the price for the things he has done, his unwavering fan-base. It is okay to offer support for someone trying to overcome a crisis, but Khan is neither apologetic for the things he has been reported doing or is he actually doing a reasonable amount of time in Jail.
There was a ton of evidence proving Salman Khan to be guilty in his manslaughter charge, as was there a lot of prove indicating that he was abusive to Aishwarya Rai. These are both very serious crimes and it horrific to think that even several of his FEMALE fans wish to ignore this misogynistic behavior and continue blindly sticking up for him.
I know he gives to charity and blah blah, but that doesn't CANCEL OUT killing a human and beating up a woman. It never will. there are a lot of good things about India, but the ability for the law to allow celebrities and politicians to cut corners and evade being criminally prosecuted is a giant failure.
There are things that are wrong and things that are right, just because an actor can be morally corrupt at times does not mean we as their audience has to put up with it OR succumb to giving them excuses.
