If you actually read the interview, it's quite good.  She answers what she was asked about - co stars.  She doesn't answer about her relationship status - which she has always maintained.  And she didn't say anything negative - she said she has nothing against these people, but they aren't her friends.  Fair enough!

Sonam and Ranbir are not related. Sonam's grandfather used to be Shammi or Shashi Kapoor's manager...their families are friends.

Yeah..They are related... This is Surinder Kapoor's interview...

The name Surinder Kapoor may not immediately ring a bell. But besides producing films, this Kapoor has produced a great family as well. His sons Boney, Anil and Sanjay have achieved various degrees of success in the film industry. His granddaughter Sonam is one of the hottest young actresses today.

But the 82-year-old Kapoor seems to be oblivious to what his sons and grandchildren are up to. He prefers not to walk down memory lane when he assisted director K Asif in Mughal-e-Azam, starring his cousin Prithviraj Kapoor.

Currently living in the third floor of Anil Kapoor's [Images] bungalow with wife Nirmala Devi, Kapoor is a recipient of the prestigious Dadasaheb Phalke award.

"Any award and recognition makes you happy. But if it is the Dadasaheb Phalke award, it's even more encouraging and nice. Boney and Sanjay will come with me for the award function [held in Mumbai [Images] on May 4]. Anil cannot come, as he is in the US. I have not prepared a speech; I don't believe in that," he says.

Early days

I came to Mumbai in 1950. I was 27 years old then. I am from Peshawar. When I told my cousin Prithviraj Kapoor that I wanted to come to Mumbai for a job, he asked me to come over.

When I was in Peshawar, I was working in a newspaper called Janta Weekly, which belonged to the Socialist Party. I was their sales representative. But I did not like the job.

so far sonam isnt friends with DP,RK,abhay deol, cannot stand shoba da, had beef with aiswariya rai, implies that AB's gets a lot of flak,thinks people of award shows have no life, thinks aisha was a hit, thinks she is a versatile actress and most of thinks she is a somebody to be passing all these comments.

Not really. Remember she doesn't think before she talks...I think it is well known around here and accepted by everyone....😆 IF she knew very well what she says she would not have said a lot of things she had said in the past 3 years! 😆

Thanks Maddy. Loved the interview. I actually read it lol. I love her honesty. Now I just hope she works on her acting so I can be a full fan lol
