Yes Father's day is over. My 3 yr God daughter made me a card, and cut out a paper tie etc. she is artistic. But she is a bit pampered by me.

I read some also put tomatoes in Dal.

yeah, we put tomatoes in the dal. we put ginger, garlic, and chillies too. it tastes good! 

Ah already I feel hungry.

i also like channa dal, but toor is my favorite. i love kali dal and rajhma and chole too. 

i can tell the difference between the dals. i only like masoor in dal fry b/c it's mixed with urad. my parents like masoor b/c it's really healthy for you. 

Masoor is tasteless, but some are not bad.
