gaurav was busy packing his things.. he had to leave immediately as the way to the airport was abt 7 hrs.. he hadnt seen heer since the morning and he knew that perhaps he had to leave without evn saying goodbye... it ached his heart to evn thnk abt it bt in these days he had learnt how to supress his pains... he closed his suitcase and sighed... it was packed... then he walked towards the door and rang the bell for manju...whu came up within few minutes..and bowed to him--sab ji?
gaurav---mera packing ho chuka hain..aap ye sab le jakar car mein dal dijiye,main 2-3 min mein ata hu.....
manju nodded and took his luggage... gaurav walked out of the room in search of heer.... he walked fast along the corridor,as he had vry less time... he searched evrywhere for heer bt she was nowhere to be seen... a strange kind of fear rouse inside him.... his hands started sweating... suddenly he stopped in frnt of heera's chamber... princess heera....heer.....his love heer.... to his utmost surprise,the door was wide open....
he stepped inside the chamber... and became so shocked that he cud nt speak immediately.....
there she was,standing in frnt of her painting..that huge one on the wall.. with her back turned to him.... she was wearing a short lengthed denim skirt with a white,professional looking shirt on top.... gaurav spurted out her name---heer?
she turned around.... seeing him,she smiled.....
gaurav---heer..ye sab? tum istarah..........?
heer smiled---kal market gae the.....chipkar.... wahin se lekar aye hain.....
gaurav---lekin heer......tumhe agr istarah koi dekhega to kya sochega? kyun kiya tumne ye sab?
heer---kyun ka kya matlab? tum hi ko kehte the ki hum jis waqt mein aye hain usi waqt ke ladkiyon ki tarah pesh ana hume sikhna hoga..... yaad hain?
gaurav started to feel irritated--haan kaha tha maine.. lekin aab main yahan se jaa raha hu... tum acchi tarah se janti ho ye baat...aab main tumhara saath nhi de sakta.. yehi sach hain heer...aur aab tumhare liye accha hoga ki tum mere kahe huye har baat ko bhul jao...aur apni tarah se rehna sikh lo....
heer smiled agen---wohi to kar rahe hain hum... hum jaise the...waise nhi rahe..... humne tumhare kehne par apne aap ko puri tarah se badal diya.... aur aab tum hume chodkar nhi jaa sakte.....
gaurav was more surprised---tum kehna kya chahti ho? main yahan se nhi ja sakta? meri flight hain 7 ghante mein.... sab wahan,delhi mein mera intezaar kar raha hain heer... australia se bhi mere boss ne admi bheja hain.....aur tum keh rahi ho ki main na jaun?
heer---humne tumhe kab roka jane se? hum tumhe kabhi nhi rokenge apna sapna pura karne se.. par gaurav..... hum tumhare saath jana chahte hain.......
gaurav---kya?
heer---haan....gaurav..hum tumhare saath jana chahte hain... tum...tumne to humse apni dil ki baat kehkar apne man ko shant kar liya...lekin hamare bare mein tumne ek bar bhi nhi socha.... gaurav...hum...hum kabhi tumse pyaar nhi kar sakte.......
there came the blow.... gaurav had been awaiting this for long..... bt he had nvr expected to her it frm her lips.... his heart was shattered.....
heer continued to say---haan....hum tumse kabhi pyaar nhi kar sakte..... tum hamare liye jo mehsus karte ho woh hum kabhi mehsus nhi kar payenge....kyunki hamare andar woh jazbat hain hi nhi... kuch nhi bacha hamare man mein..... sab kuch khatam ho gaya hain.....
she wiped her tears and came back to him....he turned his face away frm her and said--- to tum kyun jana chahti ho mere saath?
heer---gaurav hum.....hum tumhare bina bht akele ho jayenge... gaurav... tum hi mere eklaute dost ho yahan... hum aur kisi par bharosa nhi karte... gaurav tumne humse waada kiya tha ki tum hamara saath doge...to fir aab kyun akele chod kar jaa rahe ho?
her words had so much emotions,so much pleading in them that gaurav fell weak.....
heer made him turn towards her---gaurav hum jana chahte hain tumhare saath....hume le chalo..... le chaloge na hume?
gaurav smiled at her----heer....main tmhe apne saath delhi le chalunga....
heer felt so happy that she almost hugged him... bt then she checked herself,going red in the face....
gaurav---chalo...der ho rahi hain.....
heer---par...yahan sabko kya bataoge?
gaurav--tum chinta mat karo...woh meri zimedaari hain......
he took her hand and led her out of the room....

Downstairs,at first there was a huge fuss made out of it... Singh ji had no wish to sent heer with gaurav.... first of all,he started to love her as his own daughter and no father wud like to send his daughter somewhere really far frm him...and that also with some stranger..... he was strictly against the decision....
gaurav tried to make him inderstand by saying that heer needed to have a proper profession and he cud help her in that by making her work as his secretary at first.... bt Singh ji still did nt agree...
he said---kyun le jana chahte hain aap ise? kya zaroorat hain ise wahan jane ki? kya yahan wo khush nhi hain? is rajmahal mein use jo kuch bhi mil sakta hain..use isse zyaada kya mil sakta hain wahan?
gaurav---zindagi.....
Singh ji looked at him angrilly---kya kehna chahte hain aap?
gaurav---nhi..singh ji aap mujhe galat samajh rahe hain.... mera matlab tha ki yahan use zabardasti rakhkar aap uski zindagi ka udan rok rahe hain..... wo bht honhaar hain...bht efficient hain woh... zindagi mein kuch karna chahti hain,kuch banna chahti hain.... isiliye main use apne saath le jana chahta hu.....
Singh ji shouted out at him in the middle---kaise jane de hum use? kaise jane hain hum? woh beti hain hamari......!!!! kaise jane de sakte hain hum use???? salon ke baad hume apni beti...apni beti mili.... hum nhi jane denge heer ko......
he turned away frm him.... not ready to hear any more explanations....
gaurav looked at heer,cnfused... he knew that if he took her away forcefully,singh ji had no ryt to stop them...bt he did nt want to break the old man's heart....
heer smiled... she signalled to him to stop worrying..she cud handle the matter....
then she walked up to Singh ji and put her hand on his shoulder and said softly---bauji....?
he turned slowly,his old eyes gleaming with tears...
heer wiped them away.....and then said---bauji..hum khud jana chahte hain.....aap hume jane nhi denge?
without another single word...Singh ji pulled her to him and started to weep like a child.....
heer felt weak too.. she remembered the warmth of her father's embrace.... it brot tears in her eyes... she had longed for so many days to get this warmth....o how she missed her father....!!! she herself had no idea......
Singh ji said to her in a choked whisper---bete...tu jaa.... tujhe jaha jana hain tu ja.... hum teri khushi mein..teri zindagi mein koi rukawat nhi banna chahte hain...bas.. ek binti hain tujhse.... is bude baap ko bhul mat jana..... tune in kuch hi dino mein hamare dil mein jagah bana li thi...lekin hum bhul gaye the... betiya to parayi amanat hoti hain......
he took her face in his hands and kissed on her forehead---jaa beta... zindagi mein bht nam kamana...bht bara hona..... hamari duyaen hain tere saath....
gaurav came forward---chale heer? der ho rahi hain....
heer---hmm...chalo... she wiped away her tears....
gaurav bent down and touched Singh ji's feet.. he blessed him with his heart...----hamare beti ka khayal rakhna.. aab ye aapki zimedari hain saab ji....iska khayal rakhna....
gaurav smiled---zaroor rakhenge.....aap chinta mat kijiye... then he looked at heer and said---chalo... she nodded and followed him......
outside....,before entering the car, she turned back and took a last look at the palace.... it was her home.....her evrythng.... and now,she was leaving it all to make happy that person for whom SHE was evrythng.... whu was there with her wen she needed him the most... whu had made it possible to calm down the fire inside her...and whu had made it possible for her to live agen..... it was all she cud do for him..... she wanted to make him happy...... and that was wat she was doing.....!!!
gaurav called out to her frm inside the car,disturbing her thots---kya soch rahi ho heer? andar aao.....
she turned and entered the car,beside gaurav... he saw her tears..... while she tried her best to hide them frm her....
gaurav---heer...firse soch lo......
heer looked straight into his eyes and said---humne soch liya hain.....
gaurav looked away...he cudnt tolerate her tears..... the driver started the car....and after sometime the palace.. slowly disappeared frm their view.....
it was then that gaurav asked her---heer.....?
heer---hmm?
gaurav---kya tum kabhi bhi....kabhi bhi.... ek pal ke liye bhi...mujhse pyaar kar paogi?
heer was quiet for sometime,she didnt know how to answer his question.... then her jaws tightened and she said the truth of her heart---nhi......
