Donot spam in the Challenge Thread. Gossip/discussions should be kept for the Abhi Nikki FC.

Each writer is allowed upto 4 entires.

You can write jointly with friend(s) if you wish to. All shall be credited.

Try to finish the FFs in time, for if you don't, you won't be qualifying for the awards. But even if they remain unfinished, remember that the basic point is to encourage more FanFiction on AN...every ultimately appreciates your effort.

Give your work a suitable title.

Will be updated properly shortly.

If anyone has an idea, but is not confident about their writing, then please give us a shout about beta readers. We'll try and arrange for some. It's important to try your hand at writing if you have an idea. Don't worry about the language...there're plenty of people who I'm sure will be more than willing to help out. Just gather the courage and try.

And if anyone's interested in helping the new writers, or the one's who're not too sure about what they're writing, then please PM us or post right here in the thread to apply as a beta reader. Both the writer and the beta reader shall be credited.

If you have any other queries, feel free to post them here and we'll do our best to clear them.

Alright, it looks like everyone was waiting for me to begin.
I swear, when I find the next FC, everyone's getting told off for not beginning.

Without further adieu, my first entry.

Because that Heart could never be mine

I never thought I would tell you this way
I never thought things would come to this
If only I could have realised
But it's just too late to say

I love you with every being of my existance
I love you with every beat of heart
I love you with all I have to give you
Except the presence of my heart

For my heart is not for me to give
But I hope you understand
I wished I could have told you
But there were no words to say it

I loved her with a passion
A passion that was here to stay
But when she turned and left me
What was I meant to say?

I begged and begged each day
I ran for her each night
Until my legs stopped
Under the dark filled night

I finally realised she was gone
And decided to give up
When one day I saw her
But not the way I imagined

She looked like Sleeping Beauty
But wires all around
I had lost my wife right then
But had gained a new life

Do you see what I am saying?
Do you see what I am not?
She killed herself for me
But of course, things are never concrete

I was dying within myself
My heart had no more to give
My precious wife, she knew
And decided to give up

She gave me all she had
She gave all she knew
And now I'm standing here
Saying all this to you

Please understand why
Don't turn away from me
I will always love you
But with her heart, not mine

For mine is a stone
A cold, unbeating thing
And if it hadn't been for her
Would I have ever met you instead?

But it seems it's much too late
And I see you turn away
How could you not realise
That my life has become hers

What am I to do?
Do you want to see me die?
All you have to do is tell me
And her heart will be in pieces

I see you running back
I know I've hurt you so
But I realise truth has consequences
And I couldn't tell you before

So without a second turning
And wanting to go away
I will love you forever
Please marry me, not her

Backstory: Abhi and Nikki are in that secluded area, and Nikki's just told him she loves him.
He then realises he has to tell her the truth.. so he tells her he loves her, and they return to Mumbai.
However when he gets to her house, he gives her an unfinished poem, telling her what's happened. She runs inside the house, and he begins finishing the poem.. after a little while, she comes back, and he finishes the poem for her..

NOTE: It sounds like the wife's heart is in love with Nikki, but that's not the case.
He's just explaining why he can never give Nikki his heart.

NOTE TWO: I have a feeling everyone got confused.
Okay, so basically Abhi had a hole in his heart. And his first wife knew that, so she left him, and killed herself so he could live. That's why he says his own heart is a stone, because that heart was dead. Get it yet?

I haven't written a poem in like years, so I'm still a bit rusty.

As is mentioned loud and clear in the guidelines and rules, whatever you post here has to be about Abhi's past...it CANNOT be ignored in any way.

So, Jibreen, I'm sorry to say that despite your poem being a really sweet one, I shall have to disqualify that entry. Sorry sweetie, but it's not going at all with the theme.

I understand this is the worst thing I can possibly do and discourage you at your first ever attempt at writing in a Challenge, but I told you before to read the guidelines and rules properly and then post.

I'm really sorry for having to do this, but as we said before, we're going to be strict about sticking to the theme this time.

Which is why, your poem is disqualified from the Challenge. We're not asking you to delete it though. Thanks for trying, and we hope to see another entry from you...something which will go with the theme of course.

Jibreen, I read your poem on the Fiction Thread.. again, beautiful poem, but if only it had been Abhi to Nikki? Maybe keep that in mind for the next time you write.. because you are submitting something here. I will be standing here, waiting for your next writing piece. :D
