Balaji Telefilms has finally got its lead cast for the adaptation of Twilight on Star One, tentatively titled Fanaa..
After months of struggle, Balaji Telefilms seems
to have finally got their lead pair to play the desi version of Edward
Cullen and Bella Swan in the adaptation of Twilight, tentatively titled 'Fanaa' for Star One.
TellyBuzz
had earlier reported that the creative team had two options to choose
from, when it came to the male lead. The choice was between Vivian Dsena who came to the limelight with Kasamh Se and Vivan Bhatena who was last seen in Ekta's Pyaar Ka Bandhan.
A little birdie tells us that, "It is Vivian Dsena who has been finalized to play the role of Edward Cullen in Ekta's upcoming show on Star One".
Even
though the production house was looking for a fresh face for the female
lead, the team has now opted for a known face to play the role.
An insider quips, "Sukirti Khandpal who was last seen in Zee TV's Agle Janam Mohe Bitiya Hi Kijo had been short listed for the role few days back. However, as a late option came in Additi Gupta
of Kis Desh Mein Hai Meraa Dil. But now, things seem to have worked out
between the production house and Sukirti, and she will be donning the
main role in the show".
If sources are to be believed, both Vivian Dsena and Sukirti Khandpal have accepted the offer and all looks positive as far as the show's future is concerned.
However, Vivian Dsena who was last seen in Colors' Ganga told TellyBuzz, "Nothing is final as of now. I have not been informed of anything".
Sukirti on
her part said, "I am as of now flying to Bangkok for an ad. I will be
back in three days time. Yes, I have been offered the role and talks are
certainly on. But I will be taking the final call only after I get
back".
Well, we are certainly looking forward to this adaptation of Twilight coming from Ekta..

Vikas Goopta has earlier done some fantastic and passionate love stories like
Kitani Mohabbat Hai and
Kis Desh Mein Hai Meraa Dil. Now Vikas is going to be part of one such love story, thanks to Ekta Kapoor!!
Yes,
you have heard it right as the Czarina of television is all set to
launch Vikas as one of the four leads in her upcoming show tentatively
titled 'Fanaa' on
Star One,
which is on the lines of Twilight. Vikas has been busy recently
completing the schedule of his Bengali movie with Rituparno and Rupa
Ganguly.
TellyBuzz had given the readers exclusive news on
Vivian Dsena and Sukirti Khandpal being selected as the leads of the show. We had long back written that
Priya Wal of Remix fame will play the other lead in Fanaa.
The
latest is that Vikas Goopta who was earlier the Creative Head of Balaji
Telefilms has been roped in by Ekta as the other male lead in the show.

Priya Wal.

little birdie tells us, "Vikas was a last moment inclusion, and Ekta
was the master mind behind this decision. Since this is the first time
that Indian television will see a story involving vampires, the creative
team is trying their best to put in place a script that is convincing
enough for the Indian audience. The team has roped in Bobbiy Bhonsle as
writer, who has earlier written shows like Kahiin Toh Hoga for Balaji".
Our
source further adds, "Though the basic plot of Fanaa will be on the
lines of Twilight, the production house will experiment by moving away
from the original story line. This is very much needed as they feel that
the Indian viewers might not relate much to a typical vampire story
line".
We tried contacting Creative Head of the show, Priya Arya and even sent her a text message, but she remained unavailable.
When
asked Vikas Goopta, he said, "Yes, I have been approached for the show,
and am currently in talks with the production house. It is a very
different and young love story".
For the uninitiated, Vikas had been in the news lately for his appaerent closeness with actor Ratan Rajput.

Tellybuzz was the first one to break the name of
Vivian Dsena and
Sukirti Kandpal being selected as the leads of the show. We had long back written that
Priya Wal of
Remix fame will play the other lead in Fanaa. Also that,
Vikas Goopta who was earlier the Creative Head of Balaji Telefilms has been roped in by
Ekta Kapoor as the other male lead of the show.
Following the trend of taking reality show contestants in daily soap, one more joining the bandwagon is
Suyash Kumar. Suyash Kumar was in
MTV Spiltsvilla 2. Another lesser known face getting a break through Fanaa is
Tabrez Khan who was last seen in
Kis Desh Mein Hai Meraa Dil as Harman.
According
to our source, "Suyash will be playing one of the leads' younger
brother and Tabrez Khan will be in the college group as the show is
youth based show."
We tried calling Suyash Kumar who refused to comment anything on the show.

Tabrez Khan who told us, "Yes, I am part of the show but I can't reveal much about the character."

As if the problems on earth are not enough for a man, poor Vivian D'sena had a troublesome experience in the skies too!
Vivian D'sena, one of the leads of
Balaji and
Star One's upcoming show tentatively titled
Fanaa, had a petrifying experience while flying from Indore to Mumbai a few days back.
Vivian
says, "Our flight was suffering from bad weather so when we touched
down at Mumbai airport we all heaved a sigh of relief. However, to our
immense shock the plane took off again and started circling the skies."
Vivian
continues, "This was horrifying. The last thing we wanted was this.
This take off also triggered confusion and chaos amongst everyone in the
flight. Not to mention worry and fear. I too was affected by this mass
fright."
In his fear Vivian started murmuring prayers for
providence. "I told God - Just now I signed a very good show God and I
want to do it. Please don't let anything happen to me, not now," Vivian
repeats his fervent prayer.
The flight thankfully landed safely,
and the relief and gladness in Vivian's voice is tangible. "After doing
turbulence filled rounds in the sky, eventually the pilot announced that
we were landing, this time without a sudden reverse (laughs) and we did
land safely. This experience really made me incredibly thankful for my
life," says Vivian.
Vivian was last seen in Colors' Gangaa where
his character ended abruptly. Now, the actor is getting a big platform
like Fanaa to showcase his talents. He is paired with the gorgeous
Sukirti Kandpal. Recently, Vivian's co-star in Fanaa and debutant
Vikas Goopta praised the chemistry between Sukirti and Vivian saying ' 'Vivian and
Sukirti Kandpal are the leads of the show; they are rockstars and they are looking magic together!'

The launch of Ekta's Twilight on Star One has been pushed further, and will now launch on September 20th...
Ekta Kapoor's daily soap based on the concept of Twilight, titled
Pyaar Kii Yeh Ek Kahaani, on Star One has
been pushed to the month of September owing to delay in creating a
bank. As reported earlier, the show was earlier to start on August 13th,
after which it was postponed to August 23rd. However, the latest is
that the
Vivian Dsena and Sukirti Khandpal starrer will launch on September 20th. It will take the slot of
Jaane Pehchaane Se Ye Ajnabbi.
A
little birdie tells us, "It is now confirmed that Pyaar Kii Yeh Ek
Kahaani will be launching on September 20th. The cast and crew are
planning for an outdoor schedule on the outskirts of Mumbai.
When contacted,
Vivian Dsena told us, "I really do not know what the launch date of my show is".
Producer of Jaane Pehchaane, Siddharth Malhotra said, "Yes, it is confirmed that Balaji's show will be replacing my show".

Ek Kahaani gets ready for the first outdoor schedule in the beautiful
locales of Lavasa..
Ekta Kapoor can indeed breathe a sigh of relief now, as after
going thro' months of rigorous casting process, the entire unit of her
upcoming show on
Star One, Pyaar Kii Yeh Ek Kahaani is all set to go for its first outdoor schedule!!
The unit will be shooting extensively at the beautiful locales of
Lavasa, which is situated near Pune and Mumbai. For the uninitiated, Lavasa happens to be free India's first and largest hill city.
A
little birdie tells us, "The team is leaving for Lavasa tomorrow. They
have a 10 day schedule out there. The entire crew is upbeat about the
proceedings, and has decided to have work as well as have fun out there.
Among the actors,
Vivian Dsena, Sukirti Khandpal, Vikas Goopta and few others are scheduled to shoot at Lavasa".
Confirming the schedule,
Vivian Dsena
said, "Yes, we are going to Lavasa. I have heard that it is a beautiful
place. I am eagerly looking forward to this shoot as this will be my
first outdoor schedule. Apart from shooting, I would love to have some
fun time out there (smiles)".
Sukirti Khandpal in an
excited mood said, "Yes, I am busy packing my bags for the schedule. We
are leaving for Lavasa tomorrow. I have heard that it will be a 10 day
schedule, but it can get extended. We are going to shoot some fun
sequences there, and I am thrilled. In addition to work, I would like to
go around the beautiful place, and enjoy every moment".

Pyaar Kii Yeh Ek Kahaani is scheduled to replace Jaane Pehchaane Se Ye Ajnabbi, and will launch on September 20th.

The main lead of Star One's to be launched show Pyar Kii Yeh Ek Kahaani has injured himself in Karjat'
As earlier, exclusively reported by tellybuzz that,
Star One and
Balaji Telefilms' daily soap titled
Pyar Kii Yeh Ek Kahaani's; first outdoor shoot to Lavasa has been postponed.
But the latest buzz is that, the crew along with
Vivian Dsena
and Sukirti Khandpal had travelled on to Karjat for shooting the promos
of the show where the male lead got injured while shooting a sequence.
An insider from the sets informed us that, "The entire crew was shooting for a sequence where
Vivian Dsena
had to save Sukirti Khandpal and then jump. But due to rains the land
had turned mushy and Vivian slipped as he jumped and injured his tail
bone."
When contacted
Vivian Dsena remained unavailable for comment.
If sources are to be believed the show is expected to replace
Jaane Pehchaane Se Ye Ajnabbi from 20th September but, the production house hasn't commenced with the full-fledged shoot for the same.

The
fact can't be argued that producer Ekta Kapoor has an eye for her
character and doesn't relax till she finds apt faces that match the
profile on her mind. It is believed that Kapoor wanted new and fresh
looking faces for her show and didn't go for established names for she
didn't want it to look like a typical soap. Apparently, she has gone
with well-trained actors with a theater background, which will enable
her to make an impact on the viewers. The team has shot for the second
promo, which has just hit the screens.
Vivian Dsena, who essays the role of Abhay on the show, says, "I
can't directly comment on the reason behind Ekta choosing me to play
Abhay. All I can say is that she wants perfect faces to play different
characters on her show. I would like to be myself on the show rather
than aping someone."
Vikas Goopta, whose association with Ekta goes a long way, says, "The
character of Siddhart that I play is quite similar to me in real life.
Siddhart is a 20-year-old college-going guy, who faces the same set of
problems as I did during my college, and which any other teenager of his
age would probably go through. He is one of the most good-looking guys
in the college, and has girls chasing him all the time. He wants to
party out and live life to the fullest. I am quite like Siddhart."
Commenting about his co-star Vivian, he says, "Vivian is one of the
best-looking faces in the industry. He is an interesting guy and has the
looks to play a supernatural being. I feel the Portuguese blood in him
has done wonders for him. He fits the bill perfectly."
Meet, Creative Head of the show, says, "Well, Ekta wanted some fresh
faces in the show. Sukirti has done some shows, but hasn't seen much
exposure and Vivian is just the right match "
"Like you read in a popular tabloids today, Ekta has sacked 28
writers from the team - It's because she wants a perfect story and wants
to crack it as planned. She wouldn't compromise with the show at all",

Priya Wal, who has worked with Balaji in Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii, feels
that working with Ekta Kapoor is the best thing that can happen to any
actor. "Ekta ma'am is the best narrator in the industry so far. When she
narrates a character, you are immediately energised to start shooting
that very moment. I think she had me on mind when she thought of the
character Nisha. The casting took so long to get finalized, as the
producer wanted to be 100 percent sure of the faces she was roping in
and the story of the show. The show is different from the current ones
on air. It will be a different treat for the viewers and also for the
actors, who will get to put their potential to test."
Adding to the reason for her having had bagged the role of Nisha, she
says, "The character is of a strong and bratty girl, and she must have
felt me fit to play it. Also, I have done a similar role in another show
titled Remix on STAR One, so, probably, that too came to her mind."

Star Ones' Pyar Ki Yeh Ek Kahani has undergone a lot of creative changes, as a result of which, the character of Hanif Hilal has been dropped.
Hanif Hilal, the choreographer turned actor had been offered an interesting role in
Star One and B
alaji Telefilms' Pyaar Ki Yeh Ek Kahani. However,
the latest is that the creative team has worked out lots of changes in
the story line, so much so that they have removed the negative shaded
character, which Hanif was to play.
A little birdie tells us,
"The initial few episodes that had been shot, have been scrapped and the
re-shoot has begun. The story line has been altered and the fresh story
has nothing do with the popular Twilight. The negativity in the show
which Hanif's character was to bring has been taken off."
We
hear that the story will be a dark love-story instead, while Vivian
Dsena, Sukirti Khanpal and Priya Val will be introduced in the initial
episodes, the fourth lead, Vikas Goopta's entry will happen only after
first ten episodes.
When contacted Hanif said, "I was suppose to
play a character, however, I have not been contacted recently. Above
all, I don't know about the creative changes going on."
The unit
was to shoot at Lavassa, but bad weather has spoiled their plans. Later
they decided to shoot at Hyderabad, but that too did not materialize.
Presently the team is contemplating to shoot at Panchgani. These
creative changes have pushed back the launch date of the show and Pyar
Ki Yeh Ek Kahani is expected to launch on Oct. 11.

actor, who is going to entertain you with his new upcoming show 'Pyaar Kii Ye Ek Kahani' on
Star One, is a big foodie in real life but prefers vegetarian foods.
The
actor was seen in Balaji's popular show 'Kasamh Se', where he played a
rich man Jay Walia's son. He could show just a part of his
acting skills
in that show and was lost among many other young faces. However, Star
One's show gives him an elaborate opportunity to show off the different
sides of his acting.
Vivian, who plays a supernatural character
called 'Abhay' in the show, is like any other normal guy of his age and
cannot go on diet. He can't resist eating and consumes a good amount of
warm water after meals.
The actor was quoted saying that he
prefers taking some ayurvedic medicines to stay fit. Vivian does not
work out much and just goes for the basics and sauna.
Being a
great foodie, Vivian is also a self acclaimed good cook, who prefers
vegetarian foods because his mother does not like non-veg. He said that
he began learning cooking since he was 8 or 9 years old because he has
no other sibling. The good looking Vivian loves to experiment with
different dishes. The best dishes he can prepare are 'Palak Paneer' and
'Paneer mutter'.
When it comes to his favorite food, the actor
has great craving for sweets after meals and also takes 'ghee' regularly
after meals.
Vivian is very excited about his new show, which
will start airing from October 11 on Star One every Monday to Friday.

Madhura Naik has bagged an interesting role in Star One's upcoming show Pyaar Kii Yeh Ek Kahaani.
Madhura Naik who
was last seen in Colors Khatron Ke Khiladi x3 as the partner F1
racer Armaan Ibrahim is now back to fiction after Dil Mil Gaye with yet
another show on, Pyaar Kii Yeh Ek Kahaani.
We hear that Madhura will be playing the character of Teej who is very stylish, modern somewhat similar to the character of
Kareena Kapoor in the movie Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham. She will be seen opposite Vishal Gandhi.
Our source tell us that " Actress
Damini Anandwho played the popular negative role in Zee TV's Maayaka was earlier finalized for this role. However
Madhura Naik has now bagged the role."

Pyar Ki Yeh Ek Kahani Suno - Interview Updated
Every love story, has two essential components. A ladka and a ladki;
a boy and a girl. Then what makes Pyar Ki Yeh Ek Kahani (PKYEK)
special? For those wondering what we are talking about, this is Ekta's
latest offing from her stable Balaji Telefilms. All love stories have an
element of romance, fights, angst, the first pangs of jealousy,
possessiveness, anxiety and the longing to be with one another. Star One
is known to be a channel that has dished out some of the best love
stories told in the most charming, heart touching manner. But PKYEK
promises to be different.
Pia(Sukirti
Kandpal) is a child born to Ganga and Vishesh Dobrial outside wedlock,
and has never been able to forgive her father for not accepting her
mother in their life, though Vishesh always wished to. She grows up in a
convent to be a simple, sweet, beautiful girl, with a positive outlook
towards her life under the care of Nun Maurice. Fate brings Pia to
Dehradun, a place she has been avoiding, as her father lives in the same
city with his own family. Pia however does not let this deter her as
she knows she is here only to fulfill her dead mother's dream of opening
a restaurant. After much ado and persuasion Pia agrees to live with
the Dobrials, but only as a Paying Guest. Owing to the only form of
love that she has witnessed between her mother and her father, she has
no faith in the feeling in total. She surprises herself, when Abhay
Kundra (Vivian D'sena), a smart, handsome, mysterious, fascinating lad
walks into her life, and she feels instantly drawn to him. What perhaps
pulls her more towards him is the fact that he wants to keep her at a
safe distance though he is always observing her himself. Abhay mostly
keeps to himself and hangs out with only Farah, Dev, Rudra, Nisha and
Mithya.
Pia's
family in Dehradoon includes step siblings Sanjh and Panchi, who are
Vishesh's children from his marriage with Madhu. Madhu, is a loving and a
caring mother, who large kindheartedly accommodates Pia into the
Dobrial family, despite carrying the pain of her husband's betrayal deep
inside.They have a son Angad, who is soft hearted, but appears to be
rude from the exterior. He lives in a messy room, and he doesn't like
the fact that a stranger like Pia is living with them. He is often mean
to her. Vishesh and Madhu are very sweet and loving parents. While
Vishesh mostly sticks to his work, its Madhu who manages the family and
the children. Needless to say she is their confidante.
The
promo's of the show that are currently on air also depict a girl
feeling the presence someone around, looking at her, still keeping a
distance from her. She goes looking for him, only to be almost run down
by a car, when a boy in black emerges in lightning speed out of no
where saves her and disappears again leaving the girl aghast. The promo
clearly indicates the theme of the story.It ends on the a voice over
of the boy thoughts indicating her to stay away from him. He says,
don't come anywhere close to me since I am fire and I could set you
ablaze. The stoic, stern expression on his face also indicates there is
a reason behind his actions and his behavior.
At
the launch, where the characters and show was unveiled, Star One and
Ekta Kapoor, who have tied hands for the second time after "Kya Hoga
Nimmo Ka" promised that this show is going to be a league apart since
this genre has never been dealt with on television before. Touted as a
dark passionate love story PKYEY promises to be unique in its content
and presentation. It is being promoted on the lines of being a forbidden
love story of a boy who has no heart but still feels drawn to a girl.
There
are other characters like Danish Rawat, the rude, arrogant,
party-hopping, gadget freak who admires Panchi secretly, and Chakshu
Sharma, the principal's son, who harbors feelings for beautiful Pia.
PKYEK has been in the news since early this year as there have been talks of Ekta Kapoor launching an Indian Version of Twilight-the
teenage hit Vampire romance saga. Ekta and all those concerned with
the show however swore by the fact that, this is not Twlight, but a
mere adaptation of the whole theme of a love story between a human and a
non human. A lot of hard work and research has gone into this story,
as the launch date was pushed not once but twice, owing to Ekta's
dissatisfaction with the story line. Star One and Balaji Telefilms'
combined effort by the looks of it seem to be paying off as everyone is
looking forward to this new tale. PKYEK is also the come back show for
Sukirti Kandpal, who rose to popularity as Riddhima Gupta on Star One's
hit show Dill Mill Gayye. More than anything, fans are curious to know
how a love story of this nature, with a super-natural theme to it
would work with the Indian audience. We wish them all the very best

special screening of her new show, Pyaar Kii Yeh Ek Kahaani on October

Ekta Kapoor is at her spiritual best yet again, what with the launch of her show on
Star One,
Pyaar Kii Yeh Ek Kahaani slated for 18th October. We all know that Ekta
does not leave any stone unturned when it comes to seeking God's
blessings before the launch of her shows. It is the same when it comes
to her belief in astrology and numberology.
Says our source,
"This time too, Ekta did something spectacular after consulting her
astrologer. Going away from the regular norms, Ekta convinced the
channel to hold a special screening of the show on October 14th. The
quick screening which aired for few seconds on the said date at 4pm gave
the viewers a glimpse of the first episode of the show".
Are
you wondering why this special step was taken? Well, we hear that as per
the astrologer, October 14th happened to be an auspicious day for the
start of the show. So Ekta decided to do the 'Shubh Aarambh' on the
date, with a special screening that will provide her with all the luck
for the show's success.
To sum things up, Ekta even visited the Siddhivinayak to take Ganpati Bappa's blessings.
Though Sukirti Khandpal did not have any clue about the special screening,
Vivian Dsena said, "Yes, I heard from my unit members that there was a screening aired on
Star One. But I do not have any idea about it. I am looking forward to the launch".
