Blair and Serena spend their summer in Paris. Serena is having a wonderful time there dating lots of French men. Blaire is still distraught over everything that had happened with Chuck but is acting as if nothing is wrong. She spends her days at museums. While looking at a painting, she meets this very attractive man whom she believes to be a part of the Monaco royal family. She insists Blair go on the date with her, as a double date. They go shopping to get nice new clothes for their dates. They get picked up together – Blair's date turns out to be the chauffeur for Blair's date, who is part of the royal family. Blair is upset because she is the one that wanted to date royalty. Blair and Serena step out to have a talk. Serena reveals that she has decided to go to Columbia. This bothers Blair because she feels she is always overshadowed by Serena and she wants to be the Queen Bee of Columbia. Blair is furious and pushes Serena into a fountain. Blair goes back into the restaurant, followed by Serena. Serena tells her date she is ready to go but Blair still wants a date with royalty. Then the truth is revealed. Blair's date was actually royalty – this was a test for Blair to make sure she really likes him for who he is, and not for his family. Nate spent the summer gallivanting around with many girls while Dan spent the summer locked away with Georgina, taking care of their baby. Everyone is skeptical of whether or not the baby is actually his. Georgina makes a few phone calls in Russian to get a fake birth certificate and paternity test to say that Dan is the father. Lily hosts a party for Fashion's Night Out where Nate runs into a woman, Juliet, whom he met prior to the event, at a restaurant. Georgina bursts her way into the party and reveals to everyone that her and Dan have a baby, before Dan got a chance to tell them first. Lily moves the party over to the Waldorf's. Georgina pulls out the paternity test form and has Dan sign the birth certificate, contracting him as the baby's father. Lily receives a call that officers found a body washed up on shore that was identified to be the body of Chuck Bass. Chase returns to his home only to find it taken over by girls. He kicks them all out, and later gives Juliet a call for some company. At Juliet's apartment, we see that she shoplifts fancy clothes, she reads Gossip Girl, and she had a collection of newspaper cutouts of Nate on a bulletin board. We only see Chuck at the very end of this episode. There were flashbacks of when he was shot last season. He was saved by a blonde woman who nursed him back to health. He thought this was the perfect opportunity to become a new person so he tells her his name is Henry Prince, and he takes off his "CB" engraved ring. At the end of the episode, Chuck and this mystery woman travel to Paris.
