In the Guest House, Raghav and Sia are talking about the mystery woman and how she has sought help from them. Sia wonders if the women in Veerpur will always be forced into subjugation and not allowed to speak; whether there would be no change in the kasbah. Raghav walks over to Sia and places his hand on her shoulders and tells her - the fact that Sia is a candidate for the election and that he, Raghav is supporting her, actually implies a wave of change in the village. They sit down on the bed and discuss about things when there is a knock on the door. Raghav tells Sia that he will get the door while Sia goes inside.
Raghav opens the door and is taken aback when three men, their faces covered with clothes, and armed with sticks attacks him. They start hitting Raghav randomly. Raghav fights back but falsl down on the ground when one of the hoodlums hits him on the head. Sia rushes into the room and tries to stop the men by pushing them away, but one of the attackers forcibly holds her away from Raghav, by pushing her head won on the glass surface of the center table. Once Raghav loses consciousness, the trio runs away. Sia rushes to Raghav, who is bleeding profusely and tries to awaken him; but he doesn't budge. Sia runs outside the house, crying for help. She requests one of the women outside to be with Raghav while she gets some help. The woman goes inside the GH and places a pillow under Raghav's head. She then takes a piece of cloth from the almirah and tries to clean the blood.
Sia runs from one house to another, but nobody listens to her and comes forward to help her. They shut the doors on hearing her plea for help. Sia cries aloud and wonders fi there is any humanity in the village? Yet she receives no answer or help. She reaches the house where the mystery woman is kept. The woman tries to go out to help Sia but the man scolds her and warns her against stepping outside the house to help Sia. She goes inside but she opens the window and drops a package outside. Sia picks up the package and sees that there are some medicines in it.
Meanwhile, the woman is trying to tend to Raghav's wounds. her husband, who is returning with a bundle of fire sticks, sees her. He rushes inside and slaps his wife, asking her whether she had forgotten about the decree by Ammaji that no one is to help RaSia. He pulls his wife away towards the house.

In another part of the village, frequented by drunkards, lampat gaji is sitting with his chamchas, singing and drinking. He receives a call from Jogi and tells him that Raghav has been taken care of and that he will be quiet for some time. Jogi also agrees in affirmation and hopes that everythign will be fine and disconnects the phone. Gaji thinks that everything is not so simple as it assumes to be and that he has ensured that Raghav is taken care of in such a way that he doesn't regain consciousness ever. And only after that, he would deal with Sia for trying to get him punished.
One of his chamchas comes and tells him that the wife of so and so had tried to help RaSia. Gaji goes to that villager's house and tells him that his wife will be punished for helping RaSia. The villager asks for Gaji's forgiveness. AFter a lot of dithering, Gaji agrees to do so but tells the villager that he would forgive the woman on only one condition - the punishment meted out to the woman would now have to be borne by the man himself, as per the marriage oaths, which sermonizes that a husband and wife should share all their joys and sorrows with each other.
Precap - Jogi tells Ammaji that Raghav is in the hospital and will not be able to move for a few days. Ammaji asks about Sia - Jogi tells him that she must be with her husband, crying on his shoulders. Avtar hears all these and is shocked.
