Part 1 :White
Six Months 29/ 30 days:
KhanakSo much had happened since their return. Tomorrow was her last day in this house...as six months would be up and her time to leave. It made her feel so sad; over these five months she had grown attached to everyone ..and had fallen truly, maddly and deeply in love with Shantanu..and she couldn't stpop herslef from doing so..no matter how mcuh she tired. He had slowly and surely crept into her heart and taken residence and she could do nothing about it...as he belonged to Natasha...She tried her best as to not express her love overtly or openly and tried to be a good friend to Shantanu, as he had been to her.
Shantanu truly was a great friend and remained true to his words "Main Hoon Nah", and she did not feel alone in this big house anymore. Dadi had alway been kind and understanding but with time...Akshay bha and Ada too had become kind and good to her...taking her side against their respective wives, when they started taunting her, and that two seized over time...both Bai and Bhabi coming to accpet that she was here only for a short duration and had no intention of ever coming in between Shan and Natasha.
With Shantanus help she had learned to read, write and speak passable English...(and Shantanu had learnt to speak good Gujratti fom her...laughing to herself)... as not to embarasss them when she had to accompany all of them to business parties or attend parties given by them ... etc. Things had changed for the better since everyone had accepted that she was here only for the remaining months till the divorce was finalized.Thus Natasha still did not like her as Shantanus and her relationship was not sailing smoothly and she still blamed me for it all...even after repeated talks from Shantanu.
Mangal and Hetal were back were they belonged...in Dulwadi...courtesy...Gopi...who helped Khanak in recovering the Haveli papers from Hetal and Mangal...making the threat on all their head disappear...and Ada was told the truth about Mangal and Hetal...thus their punishment being them not living in the Haveli anymore and having to work and find their own place to live...and Hetal family too was way embarrassed of their daughters doing and had cut off all connection with them...not willing to help them. It was justice well deserved...and with out Gopi's help all this would not have been possible and Shantanu too as at last after earning the 20 lakhs as promised had sent the money with Gopi to Ada and Bai. Gopi was happily married woman by now and had moved to Delhi with her husband who worked there in a bank, they talked regularly and she was very happy, and had accepted that Khanak couldn't live her life in the past.
Mr Agarwal...was very angry having his plans all foiled ...but it seemed that seeing the changes in Shantanu...he was ready to accept him as his future son-in-law and was not against Natasha and Shan's relationship anymore...then why did that thought make her feel happy but sad too. She gave a shake to her head and chided herself for thinking such thoughts as they would lead no where but to heart break for her...only one more day remaining for the divorce to get finalised.
Today was a big day for the Khandelwals as the Dulwadi project was on its way to completion...and a great success too. Thus a big part was being thrown by them as Mr.Singhania...their biggest investor was coming over too to celebrate this enormous success. According to Shantanu and all the Khanadelwals this was the best and biggest party ever thrown by anyone in society and business circles and the Dulwadi Project was considered a great achievement too in the business circle. Shantanu had exceeded even his fahter and brothers expctation with his business accum..and had left them pleasently suprised with the changes in his personality, more focused, more driven and very very responsibe too.
The party was great sucess and Shantanu was over the moon. They (Shantanu and herself) were the first ones to arrive at the party location and the last ones to leave making sure everything went smoothly and there were no glitches,etc as it was all Shantanus undertaking and he did not want anything to mess up his big day. She was so proud of him...he really was a changed man and for the better...everyone at last realised that he was more then anyone ever expected. They reached home way after 02:00 am in the morning...the whole house was asleep...but Shantanu was on a high...not on drinks as he did not touch a drop, but happiness and succsess.He was not sleepy at all and was in the mood to talk and unwind and their talking led to something else instead...them at last being husband and wife in the true sense.
God only knows how it came about...them talking ...about everything and as usual she making fun of him and talking non-stop...but instead of him stoping her with his usual line..." Khanak kitne bhoti ho"...he kissed her...and that changed everything: that one kiss led to them becoming husband and wife in truth. It led to the most wonderful and beautiful experience of her life. It was the most wonderful feeling...undescribeable really...the feeling of being so loved...and loved by someone one had fallen in love with , with ones whole heart and soul.She had even declared her love for him during the night as she could not keep it in her anymore...and even though Shantanu did not say those words back to her...she felt his action spoke louder then any words. Her soul could so read and understand what he was saying without any words...as they say...no words are ever needed to express true love...the heart can hear them all..the spoken and the unspoken.
She couldn't stop staring at him sleeping, just like a baby...with such a cute smile on his face.She raised her fingertips and traced the smile on his lips...her love for him knew no bounds and was everything she was made up of. She could go on staring at him for ever but it was not possible,as she had promised Dadi that she would go to the temple with her today to thank God for everything...for helping Shantanu with his work, sucess everything..and now she had one more thing to thank God about. She smiled to herself.She looked at the watch and saw the time...God she was running late and if she did not get ready on time Dadi would knock on their door and she was not ready to share what Shantanu and she shared with anyone yet. It was between them for now and she wanted to keep it that way.
She got ready to leave the bed and got embarrassed as she had nothing to cover her nakedness with, she looked around but her saree, etc was lying too far away from her...the only thing lying near by was Shantanu's shirt. This will have to do she though to herself and wore it..and getting of the bed ran to the bathroom, to take a quick shower.
He couldn't stop smiling to himself...life had thrown so many curve balls his way and he dealt with all of them...some badly but with Khanak all of them became easy to dispatch. He never knew when his feeling for Khanak started to change...their relationship started with them being accquaintances to...hatered to friendship and gradually he fell in love but could never say it out loud...but yesterday...he just couldn't stop himself from letting his feeling out and he so hoped that Khanak knew he loved her too...it felt wonderful, peaceful even to know she loved him...he handn't said the words to her but he so hoped...and knew in his heart that she understood that he felt the same for her...Isn't there a saying "Action speak louder then words"... and he hoped his actions proved that to her. Right now he felt like shoutig from the roof tops that he loved her...he wanted the whole world to know that he loved Khanak his wife..from the bottom of his heart and soul.
He was awake before her and was busy staring at her...her sleeping so peacefully and with a smile of such contenment. He could have stared at her the whole day...but when she stirred he closed his eyes and pretended to sleep...aware of her staring at him..and the feather light touch of her fingers on his lips undid him...but he controlled himslef and waited for her next action...which was completely different...her wearing his shirt and hitting the shower. Aww..she looked so adorable in his shirts..he should make it mendatory for her to wear only them or nothig at all when she was in the room with him from now on. He heard the shower turn on, and so wanted to join her but stopped himself from scaring her ...he did not want to rush her and make her feel uncomfortable around him with his implusive actions as one implusive action was enough for today...the kiss...aww...he discovered the best way to shut Khanak and her bak bak was with those soul shattering kisses.
He heard the shower turn off and the bathroom door open slightly...he half closed his eyes again ..acting to be asleep and watched Khanak walk out of the bathroom with the towel wrapped tightly around herself glancing at the bed and him to make sure he was asleep and made her way to the cupboard, taking out her clothes to wear. She rused back to the bathroom with them...and came out a little later wearing the blouse and petticoat, with the towel covering her front and her hair all open. She looked so beautiful, good enough to eat. He with his eyes half closed watched her get ready by first putting on her saree and then at last tying the dori of her blouse...he was tempeted to walk up to her and do it for her...and kiss the back of her neck, her so beautifully expressive innocent eyes, her forhead, her cheek...and finally her lips...but then it was not good idea at all...as he knew where those kisses would lead...sigh.
Khanak did everything with her whole heart and complete cocentration that she missed seeing him watching her from the bed ...in the nmirror...good for him that. He couldn't stop himself from smiling...yesterday was the best day of his life and the night was the most most memorable...unbeliveable beautiful and fulfilling one of all...he at last had Khanak's love. She gave her self so selflessly, without any reservations...without hidding her true feelings making him feel so loved and cherished.
He so wanted to get up and declare his love for her right now...but stopped himslef..as he wanted it to be special for both of them and he knew if he declared his love to her right now...it would lead to something they both could not stop and Dadi and the whole house would come to know about them and the change in their relationship and he did not want them to find out yet..he wanted to savour this love and change in them first with Khanak only and then tell his family together as a married couple they were. He saw Khank move towards the bed and closed his eyes completely acting to be in deep sleep. He felt her hair brush his face and felt her lean towards him and then felt her lips touch his cheek and her whisper "I love you" and then her go out the door. He opened his eyes and touched his cheek with reverance...he wanted to go after her and tell her "I Love you too"...but instead clutched Khaanks pillow to himself as he could still smell her,feel her and thought how to suprise her today with his declaration of love..and with that thought in mind went back to sleep.
Khanak :
Thank God she made it in time as Dadi was getting all ready to come up to get her. She couldn't stop smiling or thnking to herself about all that happened, as she could feel Shantanu around her, with her. It was such a wonderful feeling and she never ever wanted it to disappear ever. She couldn't wait to come back soon and spend the day with him.
