I'm assuming and hoping that this is one of the tongue in cheek comments you usually make, for considering an ex like a brother is pretty weird.

But yes, I agree that there is nothing wrong in in being friends with ones ex. Many people get insecure when their significant others are still friends with their exes and worry about old flames being rekindled. That risk is there, but relations are also built on trust. It takes maturity on everyone's part to remain friends in that capacity. Sometimes people realize down the road that they are better as friends and incompatible in a relationship. Sometimes people mistake friendship for love and revert back. Sometimes despite bitter blood people have to be friends due to children, common friends etc. Its a challenge, but it is possible.
