Give It Up

My last story too was something along these lines, so pardon me!

GIVE IT UP

 

I know it will never transpire

The feeling so alien so bizarre

It inspires the wildest hopes

Led on

I keep on dreaming

My practicality asks me to give it up'.

 

What can you do?

For the vagaries of the heart

Immersed in my thoughts

And my dreams

I wake up with a start

My practicality asks me to give it up

 

Stopping myself before I get lost

In the wild marshes

Of my infatuation

My sanity at the cost

My practicality asks me to give it up

Nice job at versing Pooja! Simple, straight forward, and obvious - not typical in that sense. But says a lot, great piece!
