12^th August

 

The six singers from the 11th's episode competed against each other out of which 4 of them got green card and the two singers were shown red cards meaning they are out of the competition.

Judges:Jagjit Singh and Alka Yagnik

ID-

Niladri - Huzoor is kadar bhi na itraake chaliye – ok performance- - did bring in the expressions and the softness of the song.

Twinkle-Nigaahein milaane ko Was much better than yesterday- concentrated on singing and was good

AS said that ID was working hard and it was working, did point out some pronunciation problems for Twinkle JL said that Twinkle was good -a few mistakes still there but she was good. 

AS-

Rajeev -Jab jab bahaar aaye – good expressions and good singing- did falter on sur at some places but he has got very powerful voice and his singing touches the heart.

Himabindu- Aapki nazaron ne samjhaa-one of my fav songs –did not quite like her singing- she is a little nasal- sur was ok but some more feel would have been better.

ID felt that Rajeev was very good and Hema bindu tried but was not very good. HR was also all praise for Rajeev's singing. JL were also impressed with Rajeev and they said that hemabindu probably did not perform as per her potential because she was unwell. 

 HR-

Bonjyotsna-Jab kabhi bhi sunoge geet mere- very bad…..off sur…nothing seems to be working for her today.

None of the Mentors were happy with her performance and said she should work harder.

JL-

Bhumik-Chhookar mere man ko from Yaarana-started well but faultered- the softness of song completely missing .

ID was not happy with the performance and said that his voice was not suitable for this kind of song. HR also pointed out that bhumik is not very versatile.

Results

Alka Yagnik mentioned that Twinkle took up the challenge well, Himabindu has got some pronunciation problem and should work on them. So the green card went to Twinkle. Since Banjyotsna was not upto the mark, the second green card went to Hemabindu. Among the Boys Jagjit Singh mentioned that the choice of songs was very good and it was a very difficult decision. Niladri got the green card as he had sung well. But there was a tie between Rajeev and Bhumik.  Both sang songs of their choice as they could not arrive at one common song. Rajeev sang Saathiya beliya from Kacche Dhaage – he was very good and chose a song which brought out the strong points of his powerful voice. Bhumik sang Tu hai aasman me from Jhankaar Beats- not very impressive- this song was more of his style but a little bit of off surs. 

The final decision – Rajeev got the green card.

So Rajeev, Niladri, Twikle and Hemabindu move to the next level. Bhumik and Banjyotsna are eliminated.

 

18^th August

AS-

Himani -Mujhe Jeena Sikha Do Na from Sheesha – Different kind of song- but she did very well. Some minor sur problems but overall a good performance.

 
Vishwanath - Suraj Hua Maddham from K3G -  A lovely song- sang competently but the softness and the pleasant quality of the song was not there. 

Mentors-

JL said that Himani was very good and blended the western thing very well and they like vishwanath's performance as well. HR thought Himani was very good and there was lot of improvement in Vishwanath. ID complimented AS on the choice of songs and said that Himani's song touched his heart.

 
JL-

Sharib - Allah Ke Bande from Waise bhi….- Good singing- did bring in lot of his own harkats which was vert good. Seemed that he was having a little problem with the highter notes but good control on the lower notes- very clear . 

Ujjaini -Hum Hain Is Pal Yahaan from Kisna- good singing- her voice is very good- had some slight sur problems but overall a good performance. 

ID said that Ujjaini sang well, though did have sur problems in couple of places. About Sharib, he though did not chose right song. HR felt that sharib was good in very limited kind of songs and might be exposed if he tried anything different. AS said that he did not like Sharib's singing but was impressed with Ujjaini's voice quality.

 
ID-

Irfan -Chanda Re Chanda Re from Sapnay -  Did not like his singing much….the romantic nature of the song missing…he was a little shaky with the sur as well…..but ended well.

Anindita- ID changed his candidate last minute as he felt that vineeta was not well prepared- Sang Zara Zara from RHTDM – Bad decision to put her in- bad song selection- the soft number did not suit her style- and the sur also not proper.

AS felt that it was difficult to imitate singers from south as they have more fine harkats. JL felt that they needed to concentrate more on sur. HR was also not impressed with the singing. 

 HR-

 Vineet – We were shown that he is having throat problem and HR said that vineet is having problems-Is Pyaar Ko- Good singing, good control over sur, good energy. Overall good performance.

Joyeeta- Jhooth Kapat  from saathiya- good beginning, good expressions.

I.D said that he was surprised that vineet had sung so well inspite of bad throat. JL jumped in saying that if there was a problem in Vineet's throat and he sang the way he did- he is the best singer- he was doubting this whole throat thing. HR said that is the reason  why he is hyping vineet. Small fight between them.

Results -

Among the girls Himani was shown the green card. Joyeeta, Anindita and Ujjaini were given yellow card and have to perform again.

 

Among the boys the green went to Vineet. The others have to perform again.

 

19^th August

Recap- Vineet and Himani were given the green card yesterday. The rest of them have to perform today and two of them will be eliminated today.

Judges for the day- Shiv hari

Sharib -Din dhal jaye from Guide – Started very nicely- very clear singing- good expressions- does add some of his own harkat, which sounded good- a more mature performance. Good singing.
Ujjaini –Tera mera sath- good voice quality, did falter on sur in some places.

AS was impressed with Sharib, did find some sur problems with Ujjaini. HR said that sharib was very good, Ujjaini was good. ID felt that sharib was completely immersed in the song but ujjaini was not that good.

Joyeeta- Mohe panghat pe – did not sing well- I thought she completely messed up the feel of the song- some sur problems as well.

ID liked it but felt it was not very good. JL were not mincing words and lalit said that joyeeta did not get the feel of song—it sounded like a kothewali song…..joyeeta was ofcourse in tears. AS felt that she should have chosen a song which she could perform well.

Vishwanath- Ek haseen shaam ko-  good singing- did get the feel of the song perfectly. The mentors were happy to see the improvement in his singing. JL did point out some problems with some words.
 
Irfan-Na ja kahin ab na ja – Good singing, good harkats added …..though I think he needs to put in a little more soul in his singing.

Anindita: Haule haule sajana – trying a little too much harkat- lost sur in couple of places. not very impressive.

The mentors found her voice a little shrill.  He was ok.

Results- Among the boys the judges said that all of them were good but sharib was given the green card as I think they found him best. Then Irfan was shown the green card.

Among the girls, they thought ujjaini had playback voice and got green for her performance. Next among aninidita and joyeeta- the green went to Joyeeta. Joyeeta started crying and said how she was hurt by that one comment…she is like their daughter………….shaan did try to console her saying that the comment was on her singing and not on her.  JL said that they were sorry if they had hurt her but they all like her and have argued her case with the judges. HR said that she should improve based on these comments. Too much melodrama in the end because of joyeeta.

25^th August

The last of the participants from the two gharana participated in this round of saregama. The judges were alka yagnik and jagjit singh.

The first gharana to perform was HR's.
Aiswaraya (who is one of the youngest candidates)- Meri sanson mein basa…. He has strange pronunciation and strange way of singing. I personally did not like his rendetion. Also his singing showed lack of breath….(in the training they showed himesh telling him that he has to perform inspite of his cough).
Piyali -Raat ka nasha abhi from ashoka. She was ok. I think she was a little too cautious and was breaking the song.
Aadesh and jatin lalit did not like aishwaraya's singing. Ismail said that the singers had improved.

ID's gharana
Paresh (the uk guy-can't speak hindi)- Wo ladki jo sabse alag hai. I did not like his singing…hardly any emotion but lot of style.
Vineeta – Mehboob mere mehboob mere- I thought she sang quite well. She has got a powerful voice but faltered in the sur a little. (they showed that ID had given her a diff song but she was not singing properly and ID said that you sing your train wala song- he ridicules people whom he does not like).

Himesh said that he likes paresh's voice and also vineeta's. Though they had not performed very well, he thinks they should be given a chance because they have a bright future. Aadesh felt that the singers should be judged on the basis of their performance on that day.

JL's gharana
Abhijeet- (who is suppose to be the trump card for jl)- sun ri sakhi meri pyari sakhi. He sang quite well..not much instruments in the song…he handled the classical notes bit very well and sang with feeling.
Sanchali- Ae dil ye bata….she sang very well but I thought she had a little restraint but overall a good performance.
The mentors praised both the performances very much. Everybody liked their singing.

AS's gharana
Hemachandra- Pehla pehla pyaar hai from hum apke hain kaun….He sang very well….perfect sur, good voice….
Keka- mahi ve from kaante…..she sang well, has a powerful voice.
All the judges praised hemanchandra a lot- jatin lalit felt that he had a very powerful voice..would suit a hero. Keka also surprised them a lot and they felt she was very good.

Hemachandra and Sanchali were given the green card. The judges felt that abhijeet was also very good.

26^th August

The remaining yellow card holders competed on friday 26th. The judges were once again alka yagnik and jagjit singh.

ID's gharana was called first.
Vineeta- Ankiyon mein rehne do from bobby. Went besura in the beginning and stopped and started again. She was good but very nervous. (they showed in the clipping how id riduculed her saying that she did not choose the song he had given and she said she will sing whatever he says)
Paresh- Husn wale tera jawab nahin. He sang ok. Id told him during the practice that he shakes too much and should concentrate more on singing. He gave him this song and said that this will probably curtail that.

The mentors felt that vineeta has a powerful voice but she seemed very nervous. They did not like paresh's singing much.

HR's gharana
Priyani- Mera kuch samman from ijjazzat. Beautiful song but rendered very badly. She was very conscious and careful. She went besura couple of places.
Aishwarya- Zindagi bhar nahi bhoolegi... sang much better than the earlier day but not very impressive.his husky voice becomes very prominent.

The mentors found priyani shaky and aishwaraya not too good. Id said there was improvement in aishwaraya.

AS's gharana
Keka- Na jaanu sajan...sang well...difficult song but she managed quite well.

The mentors thought she was good. and aadesh had given her this particular song to move away from the kind of songs she sings (sunidhi kinds).

JL's gharana
Abhijeet- Khoya khoya chand ..not upto mark...was strange..did not pitch properly.

The mentors were hugely disappointed with his singing. Himesh said that he sang very badly and the judges should judge him on the basis of today's performance as aadesh has been always advocating for that. (seemed like a small fight but they did not show much)

Finally the results -
Among the girls Keka was obviously the fav and was shown the green card. Among the two- Alka said that vineeta had powerful voice but it was evident that she was very tense and nervous. Priyani's throw needs to be improved. Vineeta was shown green card.
Among the boys....confusion....Alka said that there was no doubt in showing abhijeet the green card. The contest was looking at playback singers and abhijeet was suited for that. Jagjit differed and said that the contest was for singers but since abhijeet was decided, now the tussle was between paresh and aishwaraya. Ismail and himesh were furious and said that this was not fair. Himesh said that aishwaraya has been singing with bad cough. Lalit interupped saying that everybody is unwell because of the pressure and that should not be the point, even abhijeet has got fever. Anyway alka said that they have decided that paresh and aishwaraya will sing the same song and jatin lalit and aadesh will decide the singer. Himesh and id still protesting over abhijeet's choice.
Paresh and aishwaraya sang har ghadi badal rahi hain dhoop.....I thought aishwaraya sang better but aadesh and jatin felt paresh was better. Lalit differed but since two had chosen paresh..alka showed green card to paresh. Ismail was happy but himesh was very upset.

Lot of drama happening lately on the show. I also read somewhere that aadesh has left the show because of the rude behaviour of Isamail who thinks no end of himself.

I hope he sticks to the show because he is the best mentor...very balanced..

 

1^st September

The second round of eliminations have began. The participants from the first group performed today. If all of you remember, these were the participants

Himesh reshamaiya-      Nanu and Supriya
Aadesh Srivastava-      Vishwas and Raktima
Ismail Durbar-          ; ; Debojit and Nihira
Jatin Lalit-             Saptak and manjira

Vishwas and Nihira had got the green cards in the first part - saptak and supriya got the red card and got eliminated. So this time Nanu, Vishwas, Raktima, Deboji, Nihira and manjira competed.

Raktima- Sawan ke jhoole pade....i did not like her singing, it is very soft and soothing number which did not seem like that.

Vishwas- Aaja meri jaan....a very difficult song..rare song...with lot of offbeat stuff...sang well but i don't think it was very good.

Nihira- Tere bina jiya jaye na....a very good song chosen (one of my fav lata songs) but i think nihira sings very mechanically. She is very good in her sur taal ...but somewhere the soul is missing. But the most trained singer.

Debojit- Mere naina sawan bhado....did not like his singing....kishore's singing has so much feeling....completely missing in his rendetion.

Manjira- Sharm aati hai magar....unusual song chosen and performed well but seemed a little nervous and conscious.

Nanu- Aur kya ahde wafa hotein hain....he sang well with lot of feelings.

The judges felt for most of the participants there was huge improvement. Nihira, though everybody's fav...the mentors felt her performance was not as good. Also Debojit's song did not impress anybody.

Nihira and vishwaas got the green cards.

The rest four will perform again.

The judges were Shiv kumar and hari prasad chaurasia.(shiv-hari)

2^nd September

The Friday episode saw the second day of the second round of elimination. Debojit (ID), Nanu (HR), Raktima (AS) and Manjira (JL) performed. There were two rounds of singing in which the first round had the singers singing solo songs and in the second, the two boys sang together and the girls together.

So far:Nihira(ID) and Vishwas(AS) have got green cards from Group 1.

Nanu – Ye dil to..– I think he sang pretty well- good improvement, he has got good expressions in the song.

The mentors praised him and said that he has improved a lot.

Debojit –Ae subah tu shabnami – difficult song but sang it with lot of control. Good performance overall.

The mentors were very impressed by debojit.... even the composition was praised a lot (ismail's composition)

Manjiera : Rafta rafta haule haule dil ko churaya tune from Hulchul- Sang well with lot of feeling but something was lacking....the fun element of the song somehow was missing. But she is a good singer.

The mentors overall liked her performance though they felt there were some points where she went off sur.

Rakhtima: Chalo chale mitwa from Nayak ....sang well...quite in control but the sweetness of the song was not there....she has got a little gruff voice and also gets really very very nasal...at times irritating.

The mentors liked her performance and thought she had improved a lot.

In the second round, both the boys sang -Tumse milna baate karna from tere naam. Nanu was the one to start...sang well but lost control in couple of places. Debojit sang the song very well.....seemed like a different voice altogether...his singing was impressive.

there were some disagreements between the mentors...jatin lalit were not impressed with debojit's prononciation...ismail said debojit was better...himesh refused to comment as he is too close to the song..aadesh thought debojit used his experience better but nanu brought in his innocence to the song.

Manjira and raktima sang deewana hai dekho from k3g. Manjira started badly and the mast nature of the song was lost in this. Raktima....also felt she did not get the feel of the songs. she also messed up bol in one place

Jatin lalit mentioned that rakhtima forgot some lines, aadesh replied in saying that manjira messed up the taal which is the basis of any song. jatin lalit said that manjira had the disadvantage of starting first...raktima came in when the tempo was already set but aadesh said that this can't be the excuse after several practices. (small fight)

Among the girls majira got the red card...raktima could not stop crying. Her mother gotten ill (i think she suffered from heart attack) after the last episode where raktima got yellow card. (god knows what would have happened if she got red card!!! which she will surely get at some point)
Among the boys debojit was shown green card but nanu was promised a song in his album by hr.

 

8^th September

The second group performed in the second elimination stage on Thursday 8th September. Today was the first day, hence two of them were given green card and the rest four were shown yellow cards meaning they will perform again tomorrow.

The theme was again the same- RD Burman songs and the judges also the same- Shiv Hari (seems like alka and jagjit have been replaced).

The contestants for today-

Himesh reshamaiya-        & amp; nbsp;  Dilshaad
Jatin Lalit-                   &nbs p;     Swananda
Ismail Durbar-           &nbs p;Niladri and Twinkle
Aadesh Srivastava-        & amp; nbsp;  Rajiv and Hemabindu


Recap of the this group – Dilshaad and Swananda had got the green cards in their first outing in the first elimination round. Bhumik and Banjyotsana were eliminated and shown the red cards.

Today's performances-

Dilshaad- Dilshaad has been famous for singing only sad songs but this time decided to sing a romantic number. Chand mera dil (mohd rafi song)..
I thought there was too much breath on the mike…he needs to be careful about that. Also somehow I felt that this romantic number also sounded sad when dilshaad sang it.

Mentors- Aadesh said that there was some problem in the antara but the feel of the song was good. Jatin lalit commented on the wrong wording used (lalit said that since he remembers all these songs, he always notices if there is any error in the words). Jatin said that he sang well. Ismail said that in the antara there was some problem.

Swananda- She has a sweet voice and JL said that they do not want to make any claims like himesh but her voice will get into your heart. (In the training clipping they were appreciating swananda a lot)… Jaane kya baat hai from the movie Sunny….beautiful song sang beautifully…a very sweet voice indeed and perfect sur….i think she is a strong contender as her voice is very soothing.

Mentors- Ismail said that it seems swananda is singing for her husband (he is in UK) and she sang very well. Himesh said that she had a very good feel. Aadesh said the voice is very clear and very good. The mentors (which one- I don't remember) said that but this way the nights will be longer and she should call her husband here itself (since she has a long way to go in this competition). Jatin said that swananda is maharashtrian like lata.

Niladri- Niladri was the first one to be chosen by ismail among boys when he got to pick them and he was shown telling him that atleast he should keep his izzat if not his one (ID is getting on my nerves). Sach mere yaar hai…from Saagar…..beautiful start but faulty beginning and not just once but twice. He sang besura and betala but stopped and started again. Third time he was ok but hardly impressive.

Twinkle- She is a very confident candidate (over confidence!) and has been pulled up by some judges for that but ismail seems to be encouraging him and saying that she should not care about what others have to say. Daiya mein kahan aa phasi…(I think from padosan- strangely the same song which arpita chose in FG RD Burman special last week).. a very difficult song but performed well…I still feel that she overdoes it at times…should have more control..i did not like the antara much.

Mentors- Himesh said niladri is very smart as he started and stopped twice thinking that those will be probably cut in the show. He found Twinkle very good. Jatin Lalit felt that ismail is very smart as he has told his contestant about this as well and they should probably learn from him. They also found twinkle good in the difficult song. Aadesh felt that niladri has become very shyana in mumbai…as he did a smart thing. Ismail said that he is one responsible as he had told his student to stop and start again if they go besura or betala.

Rajiv – (one of my fav contestant in this show) Aadesh was shown telling him that with his voice he should be getting green cards and not yellow but he has been always just about scraping through. Ek ajnabi haseena se – kishore kumar song from rajesh khanna movie ajnabi. I like his voice and I think he sang well but the confidence is not there…needs some boost probably.

Hemabindu- Aaja Piya tohe pyar ….. a very bad start…. I think she has got some accent as well.

Mentors- Jatin lalit said that rajiv was very good, himesh felt that hemabindu was not very good…and ismail felt that she did not touch his heart…something is lacking. Ismail said that rajiv has got a very strong voice and felt that with training it will be wonderful. He said that he will make him sing in his movie. Aadesh said that rajiv is singing for his movie Chingari on the 18th. (the recording was done earlier..so we were shown a clipping where rajiv recorded…).

9^th September

 

The second day of the second elimination round for the second batch (I know it is confusing but I could find any easier way to explain this)

Recap- The second elimination round for the second group started on Thursday where Rajiv and Twinkle got green cards.

The show started with shaan, rajiv and twinkle singing dhol baje form Hum dil….
The judges are shiv hari and the theme is songs from 2000-2005

Today's contestants-
Swananda- Jatin Lalit
Niladri- Ismail Darbar
Hemabindu- Aadesh Shrivastava
Dilshaad- Himesh Reshamaiya

The first contestant for the day was Swananda. Jaane jaa (uncommon song)- I thought she was offkey in some places but sang well, very controlled performance. Her voice quality is her plus point and also the calmness.
Mentors- While Aadesh said that she sang very good, Himesh said that there was extraordinary improvement and she is close to best recording quality. Ismail said that she sang the antara beautifully and very good performance.

Hemabindu- Mehndi hai rachne wali from Zubeida….at points sur going…noticed some nasal as well. I also thought the sur not proper in the higher notes. But very good emotions and surprisingly the accent not there today.
Mentors- Jaltin Lalit said that there was tremendous improvement. Himesh said she sounded very fresh and ismail felt that hemabindu was much better than earlier times.

Niladri- Tere liye from veer zaara…..selected a song which suited his voice (I think ismail chose the song)…but seemed like copying the original singer almost to a T. Sang well overall and the voice quality also seemed very good.
Mentors- Himesh said that it was superb, fantastic, extraordinary. Jatin lalit said that very good…good emotion and that ismail is working very hard on his singers. Aadesh said that niladri sang very well and singing with heart.

Dilshaad- Kismat se tum humko (I think it is from Pukar)…..i think he still has the problem of breathing into the mike….but difficult song performed well…but he has performed better.
Mentors- Ismail said the dilshaad sang from heart and chose a very difficult song. Jatin lalit said that dilshaad rocked…among all contestant his pronouciation is very good. Aadesh said that it was a very good performance and hats off to him.

As all of you know by now, there are two rounds of singing in this charan.

The boys sang the song Dil de diya hai from Masti…Niladri sang very well…quite unexpected as this is not his kind of song. Dilshaad sang with lot of emotions but I think he faltered a little bit….his mike sometimes is not in front of his mouth.
Mentors- Aadesh said that niladri copied the original singer, dilshaad sang it better. Jatin lalit said that both of them very good, dilshaad had a very good feel. Himesh felt that dilshaad sang superior. Ismail said that niladri sang better than the original, and dilshaad sang it in his own style.

The girls sang Chori pe chori from saathiya…Bad beginning by Hemabindu some pronunciation problem came up again. Swananda did not have too much emotion but sang it perfectly.

15^th September

The third group performed in the second elimination stage on Thursday 15th September. Today was the first day, hence two of them were given green card and the rest four were shown yellow cards meaning they will perform again tomorrow.
The theme was again the same- RD Burman songs and the judges were O.P.Nayyar and Kavita Krishnamurthy

The contestants for today-
Aadesh Srivastava- Himani

Himesh reshamaiya- Joyeeta and Vineet
Ismail Durbar-     Irfan

Today's performances-
Himani – a powerful singer who has also recorded a thumri for aadesh for the film chingari and kalpana lazmi, who is the director of the movie was all praise for her singing including great feelings. Today she sang- Ab jo mile hai, tho bahon ko bahon me… quite an uncommon song and also not in particular her kind of song..her voice is more suited to sufi kind of songs… but she was quite good mainly I think because of the confidence…I think she was a little betala at some places….but good feelings….overall a good performace.
Mentors-
ID- He said that himani ne bilkul nahi ki beimani. (just because it rhymes! I find him irritating but he has improved a bit). He said that aadesh has got very good singers and he is looking at them carefully.
HR- He said that himani is a very strong contender and her performance today was very good and strong.
JL- As usual pointed out that there were some pronunciation problems but overall good performance. Aadesh replied back saying that in today's time people get away with singing ta instead of singing tha (referred to pyar to hona hi ta)…. If I am not mistaken this is jl song.

Irfan- I think he is decent singer but not special. He sang Tum bin jaon kahaan ke duniya….. Quite a mediocre beginning, I would say bad….i think the kishore feel was missing…though he did try to yoodle like kishore and managed a good job on that but still a thanda performance…
Mentors-
AS- He felt that there was good feel in the antara.
JL- Lalit said irfan had improved a lot and ismail is working hard but said that he was wondering initially, when the song started, that whose version is he singing but then it sounded like rafi's but when he yodeled it was kishore's. Over all a good performance where he combined the both versions
HR- Himesh praised him a lot, very good singer, he put his life in the song (which I found lacking) and he thought it was not fair to compare him with legends like rafi and kishore but in his own way he was very good. Jatin interrupted saying that none of them here are so foolish to compare any of these singers with kishore or rafi but when somebody sings their song, obviously the reference are those old songs. Himesh replied saying that he was sorry and takes back his words.

Ujjaini- Frankly, I did not have too much impressions on her as I did not remember much of her from the earlier rounds. She sang ghar aaja ghir aaye – Very good song selection and she sang it beautifully. Good voice quality, pukka on the sur and laya. A little more feeling and confidence would have made it more endearing.
Sharib- I think he is pretty decent singer but not somebody I see as winning this competition or even doing playback. Tumne mujhe dekha hokar- I think the performance was very mediocre….someplaces bad….nothing really to write about.
Mentors-
ID- ismail praised ujjaini and she got engrossed in the song…..and jatin lalit have done a very good job. On sharib, he said that he tried but rafi had sung it beautifully and he could not manage that.
HR- Himesh said that ujjaini sang much better than earlier. (he seems to be praising everyone) Sharib chose a song that was not of his genre but did well.
AS- He said that sharib was a surprise, his song was not of his style but he sang well. He praised ujjaini's voice and said she sounds very fresh and thought her tonal quality is the best.

Vineet- The kharab gala fame…..he is a good singer but I think he is not very versatile. His song was Kitna pyaara vaada hai in matwali - good singing, powerful voice and throw, complete control over sur…I think himesh may have an ace in him!
Joyeeta- The one who comes from assam in bhadi train and who cries at the drop of hat….the one to whose singing lalit had said that it seemed like a kothe wala song kisliye maine pyaar kiya….(we were shown clipping where himesh was telling her that this may not get you a green card but will show your versatility- I think his confidence is misplaced)- a soft song which lost all its softness in her singing…...pretty bad performance compared to the other two girls.
Mentors-
AS- He said that it was a very simple song (probably that is the reason why himesh chose it) where there is hardly any possibility of an error but she made those and was off target from the very beginning. He liked vineet's performance.
JL- Jatin said that last time vineet' had wrongly picked up the song from khali and this time he has got a song which is from khali. They liked his performance Jatin was very disappointed with Joyeeta and said that he is not too sure whether he should say because she is very sensitive and takes everything to heart and cries…but he should say. He sang another song- two version and said that in the second version of his singing it is the same song but with different feeling it sounds like a begger 's song. He was probably trying to say that proper feel of song is very important and if it not there, the song loses everything.
ID- He congratulated himesh for choosing a song which is not suited to joyeeta's voice so considering that- she sang well.
HR – He thought Vineet did not do to his best but sang well. As for Joyeeta, he said that she should not take the mentors comments personally as they all consider her like their daughter and expect a lot from her and want her to improve.
