Part 20

Muskaan: (sleeping like a baby, someone is holding up a phone to her ear)

Rahul (voice over the phone): Good morning…!

Muskaan: (smiles in her sleep, and the person holding the phone giggles)

Rahul: Come on Muskaan get up please….

Muskaan: (stretches her arms, her eyes still closed. Ridzi and Prateek were watching her as they were the ones holding her cell phone to her ear upon Rahul's request)

Rahul: Please…aaj kay din toh late na karo…utho na Muskaan…Dekho Prateek aur Ridzi bhi tumhay sota dekh hans rahay hain…

Muskaan: (was smiling sweetly until Rahul mentioned Ridzi and Prateek, her eyes opened instantly upon realizing the reality) oye…! (She jumped up and snatched the phone from Ridzi's hand and turned off the speaker phone) Umm..voh…main…voh…

Ridzi: It's okay…tum baat karo main aur Prateek breakfast karnay jarahay hain…

Prateek: Haan mom app Rahul se baat kar kay phir phone mujhay de dena…(he said jumping on to Ridzi like a monkey)

Ridzi: Vaisey Prateek phone ki koi gurantee nahi hain… (she teased Muski as Prateek looked on confused)

Muskaan: Ridzi…(she glared at her)

Ridzi: Never mind lets go and leave mom alone… (she hurried out the room with him)

Muskaan: (smiled at the two then got back to her phone) Hello…?

Rahul: Hmmm toh app uth gaye finally….

Muskaan: Rahul…tum bhi na asia nahi karna chiyay tha…

Rahul: Kaisa?

Muskaan: Ridzi aur Prateek kay saamnay…

Rahul: Arey baba sirf phone per baat he toh kar raha tha…koi problem hain kya?

Muskaan: Nahi…(sighs) kahir choro bolo itni subah phone kyun kiya…

Rahul: Voh kal raat jo vaada kiya tha ussay pura karna than a iss liye…

Muskaan: Vaada?

Rahul: Haan yahi kay tum meri awaaz se ajj kay din ki shuruaat karoge…

Muskaan: (blushes) Haan per…

Rahul: Jaanta ho kay abb tum kaho ge kay ghar akay bhi toh utha sakta tha…

Muskaan: Nahi voh…

Rahul: It's okay admit it…vaisey bhi I know tum iss waqt tomato jaise laal hogaye ho ge…Khair madame you can blush all you want over the phone, per the reason I couldn't be there was because I had some plans to make…

Muskaan: Plans?

Rahul: Haan tum ajj kay rest of the 18 hours meray saath spend karnay waali ho…

Muskaan: Rahul Prateek bhi hain ghar per ajj uski school se choti hain aur phir…

Rahul: Main Ridzi se baat kar chukka ho…She'll bring Prateek when I want him to be there for a certain surprise, per tub tak voh Riddhima kay saath hain…aur issi pehlay kay tum poocho Riddihima has agreed on it herself… usi ka idea tha…

Muskaan: Rahul yeh sub…

Rahul: Please… aaj kay din meri chooti si request maan jao…

Muskaan: (feels helpless at his sweetness) theek hain maa liya…

Rahul:  Saachi! (almost jumped with happiness)

Muskaan: Muchi… bus abb khush…

Rahul: Bahut…bahut khush…acha abb tum jaakay tayaar hojao I am coming to pick you up in 15 minutes…

Muskaan: per hum ja kaha rahay…

Rahul: 15 minutes…I am there. Love you…bye… (he hangs up before she could ask what should she wear or where exactly are they going. Muskaan shakes her head in disbelief at his sweetness then goes to her cupboard and picks out a light lemonish color sari. She knew Rahul preferred Sari's on her the most and so she didn't really care for the climate or anything as today after a very long time she was getting dressed to be adored by Rahul, it was all for him.)

~10 minutes later in the Kitchen~

Prateek: Wow mom! Ajj app kissi ki shaadi mein jarahay ho? (he looked up from his cereal bowl surprised as Muskaan walked down the stairs looking absolutely gorgeous)

Ridzi: Woah Muski ajj ais akya khass hain…? (she said taking a bite from her cereal bowl as well. She never missed any moment that required teasing Muski.)

Muski: Kyun, bahut over hogaya kya? (she asked looking concerned)

Ridzi: (smiled) Nahi toh…(she quietly walks over to her and whispers) Rahul kay liye perfect hain…

Muski: (looks down shyly then smiles) Tumhay kisnay kaha yeh uskay liye hain….main khud kay liye bhi tayaar ho sakti ho…

Prateek: (overheard muski's part) Mom app toh hameesha he khud kay liye tayaar hotey ho…

Muski: (turned to face her son. She goes over to him and hugs him from behind, completely wrapping her arms around him. She kissed his cheeks on both sides and took a bite from his bowl of cereal as well) Love you Prateek…!

Prateek: Mausi ajj mom ko na kuch hogaya hain…dekho aik dum itna saara pyaar kar rahi hain…(he leaned over to Ridzi and whispered, Ridz just smiled)

Muski: Prateek ajj Mausi kay saath kya plan hain?

Prateek: Mausi aur main movie dekhay gay… "Happy Feet" and "Up" my favorite…

Muski: Oh that's exciting…(she was pouring herself some coffee, then she took out another mug for Rahul and poured some for him as well.)

Prateek: Icecream, Twizllers, Candy, Popcorn, aur Mac and Cheese bhi humaray saath movie dekhay gay…theek hain na mom…

Muski: Ofcourse jaan…Mausi aur app full on enjoy karna…

Prateek: (with very wide eyes looks at Ridzi who has somewhat the same expression as well)

Ridzi: Prateek lagta hain ajj tumhari Mom sach mein bahut khush hain… no objections on junck food, that's new. (she whispered to Parteek )

Prateek: Mom khush nahi thodi Ko-Ko hogaye hain…(he whispered back gesturing the universal crazy sign to Ridzi who laughed at his cuteness)

Muskaan: (hearing the giggles) Kya baat hain? Mom se secrets?

Prateek: Nope…nothing like that…(he said with a blank expression as Ridzi held back her laughter watching his cute and absolutely adorable little nephew.)

Muskaan: Okay…good…(she looked over to Ridzi suspiciously but then smiled just watching Prateek and Ridzi)

 *Door Bell Rings*

Muskaan: (instantly gets up from the she was sitting in and looks towards her door) Rahul…

Ridzi: Aik minute…aik  minute Muskaan main darwaza kholti ho…(she holds her back and Muski realizes the entire popping up at the table looked way to obvious)

Prateek: Main bhi jao ga Mausi kay saath…(he said running towards the door as Ridzi followed)

Ridzi: (unhooks the latch on the door as Prateek turns the knob which was in his reach)

Prateek: RAHUL!!!!

Rahul: (Smiles and bends down at his height, Hugging him instantly) Hey Champ! Kaise ho…? Hello Riddhima…

Prateek: bahut excited! Ajj Mausi kay saath movie day hain na issi liye…(Rahul picks him up and locks the door behind them as they make their way into the living room)

Ridzi: Yeah. Ajj Prateek aur mera Movie day along with junk food…

Prateek: Pata hain Rahul ajj toh mom ne junk food per danta bhi nahi…

Rahul: Saach…?

Prateek: Hmmm…it's going to be so much fun…(he high fived Rahul and Ridzi,then got down from Rahul's grip and ran to get the DVD's to show Rahul)

Ridzi: So everything settled?

Rahul: Yeah I hope so…thank you for doing this for me today. Prateek ko saath lay jaanay mein mujhay koi problem nahi thi per tumne he kaha…

Ridzi: Samjha karo Rahul. Thodi der kuch waqt Muski kay saath ghuzaar lo, phir for thie big surprise Prateek, main, aur sub bhi vaha pooch jaye gay….

Rahul: (Smiles) hmmm, bus I hope today turns out….(before he could finish his sentence he looks over Ridzi's shoulder and sees Muskaan coming down the hall from the kitchen. Light Lemon sari, Lightly straightened hair, Delicate heels, and glowing smile. He felt his heartbeat grow slower as she took her steps towards him.)

Ridzi: Turns out like what? (waiting for him to finish she asks curiously unaware of the spell that was being cast on him through Muskaan's beauty. After trying to get his attention and failing both times she turns to see what he is looking at and smiles) ohh toh yeh baat hain…

Rahul: Perfect…(he sighs and smiles, unknowingly giving Ridzi an answer as well)

Ridzi: (smiles) I hope so as well, and I am sure kay ajj ka din sirf perfect he hoga.

Muski: Hi Rahul…

Rahul: (snapping out of his daze as Muski came and stood next to him) Hey you…

Ridzi: well the two of you should get going now…(she noticed the stare and before it turned into a full on eye locky she spoke out loudly)

Muski: Ridzi voh Prateek …

Prateek: (comes running back with the DVD's) Dekho Rahul main aur Mausi yeh waali movies dekhay gay ajj.

Rahul: (once again bends down to his height and looks at what he is showing him) Really. That;s great… yeh movies toh meri bhi favorite hain…

Prateek: Tumne dekhi hain yeh…?

Rahul: Ofcourse! Jub Champ ki favorite hain toh meri bhi toh favorites hui na.

Muski: (also bends down to his level next to Rahul, she turns Parteek towards him after he high fives Rahul on having the similar taste in movies) Baby main abhi thodi der kay liye jarahi ho, jaldi vaapis ajao ge. Aap Mausi ko tang toh nahi karo gay na…?

Prateek: (Shakes his head) Prateek Mausi ko bilqual tang nahi karay ga. Pomise…(he says cutely and hugs Muski) Aap jaldi ajao gay na…?

Muski: (nods her head cupping Prateek's face in her hands) Haan babay. Kabhi Mama, Prateek se zayaada der dur rahi hain? (Rahul smiles watching them)

Prateek: Aap Rahul kay saath jarahi ho?

Muski: (looks at Rahul who looks at her as well)

Rahul: Haan Champ bus thodi se der kay liye… (he hold him by his shoulders and smiles, trying to make him understand)

Prateek: Aap Mom ko tang toh nahi karogay na? (he asks after a pause)

Rahul: (smiles at his innocence as Muski and Him exchange quick glances) Nahi. Bilqual nahi. I promise. (he says putting his hand over his heart)

Prateek: (Smiles and hugs Rahul) Phir Theek hain aap Mom kay saath jaa saktay ho...

Rahul: Thank You So Much…(he hugs him tightly)

Ridzi: Prateek abb Rahul aur Mom ko janay day…?

Prateek: (pulls out the hug then Rahul and Muski both stand up) Bye Mom…Bye Rahul…

Muski: I love you… (kisses his cheek before leaving) bye Baby…take care…

Rahul: Bye Champ! Bye Ridzi… (he waves at the two as Muski opens the front door and steps out. Rahul and Muskaan both make their way up to Rahul's car and Prateek and Ridzi stood at the front door waving them good bye until their car reversed out the driveway and disappeared on the road.)

~In the Car~

Rahul: (driving) Vaisey toh main Prateek ko saath he lanay waala tha per Riddhima insisted kay… (he turns to look at Muskaan but finds her face turned the other way, sniffling a little as if crying. He pulls over the car and turns to Muskaan, putting his hand around her seat.) Musk…Muskaan…?

Muskaan: (looks up at him with tears in her eyes)

Rahul: (doesn't say anything and very gently wipes her tears from her eyes, She instantly leans her head on his shoulder. He puts his hand around her shoulder, pulling her as close to him as possible they were still in the car. She stays like that for a while then pulls out the hug on her own and moves back to her seat.)…Maine toh suna tha kay pyaar logoon ki zindagiyoon mein khushiyaan lata hain lakin lagta hain meray pyaar ne tumhay pehlay se rula diya. (he said lightening the mood as Muski took a hold on herself and returned to her normal self)

Muskaan: Nahi Rahul aise koi baat nahi hain. Bus voh Prateek ko kabhi yun akelay… main jaanti ho kay Ridzi uskay saath hain per phir bhi pata nahi kyun ussay yun akelay chor kar ana ajeeb lag raha hai. Shayad issi liye kay hameesha meray akelaypan mein mera Prateek meray saath raha hain…

Rahul: (leans his head a bit towards her so he is looking right into her eyes) Tum ya Prateek akelay nahi hain Muskaan. Main ho na tumharay saath, tum don okay saath. (he assured her with the honesty that reflected in his eyes along with his caring words.) Chalo cheer up now… actually jahan hum jarahay hain it's the perfect place mood manay kay liye.

Muskaan: (smiled sweetly at him as he continued his drive on the road) Vaisey hum ja kaha rahay hain?

Rahul: Tumhari favorite jagah, ya atleast jub tak tum Mumbai mein thi tub tak toh tumhari favorite he thi…

Muskaan: yeh kuansi jagah hain…?

Rahul: Beach…ya phir yahan ki language mein "Paris Plage"kay naam se jo jagah hain vahan per…

Muskaan: Wow! Rahul Paris Plage, tum jaantey ho mujhay vahaan jaanay ka hameesha se kitna shauq tha, bus time nahi nikal paye…

Rahul: Toh voh maine ajj nikal liya…hum dono kay liye…( they both glaced at one another and smiled sweetly)

~After a long drive towards Paris Plage, Rahul and Muskaan finally made it to the serenity amongst the crashing waves of blue waters. They found themselves a beautiful and a quite spot on the rocks where the mist from the ocean water splashes on them every now and then.  It was just the perfect place for the two, Muskaan sitting close to Rahul with his arm entwined with hers and the sound of the ocean seemed soothing and welcoming for both. The talked about various random things, then there was just simple silence between them. Muskaan's head rested on his shoulder and they both sat quietly feeling the ocean mist and its coolness.~

Muskaan: (lifts up her head and looks up at Rahul, gazing in his deep grey eyes)

Rahul: (Smiles, watching her look so lovingly at him) Kya dekh rahi ho…?

Muskaan: kuch nahi…bus aisey he kuch sooch rahi thi…

Rahul: Mujhay nahi batao ge?

Muskaan:  Kya tum mujhay kabhi bhool toh nahi jao gay? (she says abruptly as Rahul looks a bit confused at her sudden question but she continues anyways)  Mera matlab hain, kabhi aise halat huye toh tumhara pyaar meray liye kum toh nahi hoga na?

Rahul: (he pulls her a bit closer and looks at her intently, they share an eyelock and then Rahul starts to talk)  Kya tumhay meri ankhoon mein pyaar nazar nahi ata? Kya tumhay lagta hain kay duniya kay aisey koi bhi halat hongay jo humay juda karay gay? Ya phir koi bhi aisi taqat hogi jo humay juda karay ge?  (his rhetorical questions basically chased all the facts away, every fear, every thing that reminded Muskaan of harsh reality that she thought was inevitable faded. His eyes reflected purity, honesty, and undefying love. They both shared a moment of silence as their eyes communicated, answering every question that Rahul had asked. Muskaan had all the reasons in the world to doubt her happiness but after what Rahul just said to her made perfect sense and without any further distrust in herself she smiled gazing into his eyes.)

Muskaan: Nahi…(she answered softly knowing that this was an absolutely perfect answer for all of his questions)

Rahul: (smiled and pulled her closer to him once again) Toh phir just trust me. Main tumse koi vaada nahi karta, koi guarantee nahi de sakta  per kohshish…kohshish puri karoonga kay tumhay iss duniya ki har khushi do, Prateek aur Tumhay hameesha bahut, bahut, bahut zayaada khush rakho.

Muskaan: Jantey ho Rahul meri zindagi mein maine apni ankhoon kay saamnay bahut vaaday tootey huye dekhay hain…unn tootay vadoon ka dard bhi bahut saha hain…per ajj yeh jaan kar mujhay yakeen hogaya hain kay voh sub vaaday saach mein kuch meaning nahi rakhtay thay, kyunki unn vadoon mein puri kohshish nahi thi, voh sirf dil behlanay waalay vaadey thay…tumhari koshish ki tarah saachay nahi thay.

Rahul: Jaanti ho Muskaan maine tumse vaada kyun nahi kiya…

Muskaan: Nahi…

Rahul: Issiliye kyunki vaaday aksar toot jaaya kartey hain…per kohshish... Kohshish hameesha puri hoti hain agar saachi ho toh…(he smiled and kissed her on her forhead as she closed her eyes wanting to live in this moment for the rest of the enternity)

~They got up from the rocks and stepped down in the cool water. Walking alongside the waves was enjoyable as they both loved being left alone with eachother to enjoy the wonderful view. Rahul had his fingers entwined with Muskaan's; she had a strong grip on his hand as well. It felt nice to see a protective shadow walk alongside with her's, she was so used to seeing her shadow alone all the time but now that she had Rahul by her side she never felt alone. Muskaan splashed water on Rahul as she noticed how Rahul was playing safe by keeping his distance from the water, but nonetheless she got him wet as the splashing game was something she was pretty good at. Prateek had made her a pro at it, she was glad she knew the tricks. Rahul gave in as well, he ran after her, grabbing her by her waist from behind, spinning her around, and then laughing out loud. They couldn't be any happier, it was so unusual for her to laugh out loud with all her heart but to hear her sweet laughter echo round him was all he wanted in his life. Her lemonish yellow sari was drenched thoroughly and his casuals were wet as well. They decided to dry them off by sitting at a distance from the water watching the sky from afar. They were gazing at the perfect four shaded skies that evening before the sunset, reds, pinks, oranges, and shades of bronze formed a beautiful background at the beach. Muskaan had never been so loved in her life, it was an amazing feeling that made her get lost in Rahul's deep eyes as he looked ahead at the spectacular view on the beach unaware of her gaze.~

Rahul: (turns to her) Muskaan?

Muskaan: (completly lost in his eyes dosen't say a word just smiles like she was before)

Rahul: (smiles back admiring the way she is looking at him)

Muskaan: Rahul…(she whispers)

Rahul: Hmmm..?

Muskaan: Tumhari ankhein na…

Rahul: Meri Ankehein?

Muskaan: Haan…Mujhay bahut…bahut… bahut….achi lagti hain…

Rahul: (laughs at her sweet and adorable but shy nature) aur in akhon mein jo Muskaan basi hain mujhay voh bahut, bahut,bahut achi lagti hain…

Muskaan: (shakes her head while turning red at his compliment)

Rahul: Jub tum kuch baat keh kay yun sharma jati ho aur apnay sari kay pallu se larnay lagti ho toh mujhay tumse har bar pehli baar jaisa pyaar hojata hain… (he said noticing her as she fiddled with her sari and looked down completely flushed by his gaze)

Muskaan: (looks up and leaves her sari instantly)

Rahul: Abb yahaan se chalay…voh aik aur choota sa surprise hain phir tumhay vaapis drop kar doonga… (he says getting up and helping Muski get up as well)

Muskaan: Surprise? Abb aur kya plan hain Rahul.

Rahul: Chalo toh sahi… (he said pulling her hand and they both practically ran off towards the car, Muski held her shoes in her hands and Rahul had his jeans rolled up to his ankles. They both looked like an overly good looking teenage couple but that didn't matter it was love that made them so crazy for one another.)

~Before Muski could figure out what is happening and where they are headed. Rahul had driven all the way to the Eiffel Tower. They were already in the Parking. Muskaan kept asking but Rahul held the suspense a bit longer on purpose. This was it, the moment he had been waiting for so long and he didn't want to spoil the surprise just yet. He took Muski's hand and they both walked to the front on the Eiffel tower. It was getting dark and just when they reached there, the lights lit up at the tower and everything turned magical at once. Muski gasped at the beautiful sight as Rahul looked around and smiled. While Muski was admiring the spectacular view Rahul turned the other way and saw Ridzi,Prateek, Suku and Karan standing at a distance with their thumbs up, wishing him luck. He smiled then took a deep breath and gestured them to stay back until he tells them to come up.~

okay Imane, you write so well that I'm running out of words to say to you when you write such beautiful updates! Seriously, i think i get lost every time i read your stories and i feel all these different types of emotions. Good emotions and then when its comes to commenting i really dont know exactly how to put them into words. You leave me speechless! So please continue soon so i can read when he proproses. I can't wait for it and Proposal and Eifel Tower is such a lovely idea. I think it's so romanric and i cant wait to read Muskaan's expressions!
