Vikas Bhalla in Star Plus' new serial

Plot

Set in Delhi, the plot revolves around the lives of Aryan Suryavanshi (Vikas Bhalla) and his mother (played by Neena Gupta). 26-year-old Aryan is a suave and upcoming lawyer, passionate about social causes.

The show introduces Ashima Bhalla, who will play Aryan's love interest.

Adds a source, "Ashima has done films down South; she's a Shilpa Shetty lookalike. A member of the cast describes the soap as "a love story in essence with an element of thriller."  So far, 16 episodes have been canned and the cast is leaving for Delhi next week for their next schedule.

Twice lucky?

It's a second coming of sorts for Vikas Bhalla, who rose to fame with his character Aryan in Tum Bin Jaaoon Kahaan. A member from the production house explains, "Aryan has been a lucky name for Vikas. We were thinking of a few names, but when we roped in Vikas, we were sure it has to be Aryan."

Although Vikas confirmed the possibility of a new soap in the pipeline, he refused to talk about it. Says Bhalla, "It's too early to say anything. Let the channel declare it first and then we shall talk about it."

When asked about his lucky screen name, the actor reacted, "Yeah, the name Aryan has been quite lucky."
