Rani Mukerji's father, Ram Mukerji had to be rushed to the hospital after he complained of severe chest pain
Rani Mukerji, who has been keping a low profile of late was in for a huge shock yesterday, when her father, to whom she is very attached, was suddenly rushed to hospital.
According to a source, on Thursday morning, Rani Mukerji's father, Ram Mukerji, had to be admitted in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of Jaslok Hospital. The source said, "Ram Mukerji complained of pain and restlessness and he was immediately rushed to Jaslok Hospital. The family has not informed outsiders about it. Rani has been by her father's side all through. The family was extremely worried but now he is out of danger and stable."
The hospital authorities, on condition of anonymity, confirmed the news and said, "Yes, Ram Mukerji was rushed to Jaslok from his Juhu residence around noon, on Thursday. He is under the care of Dr Sushil Munshi, a senior cardiologist with our hospital. He is doing fine now."
Rani's brother Raja Mukerji, who was on his way to the hospital, said, "He has been a heart patient and it is one of those routine check ups. He's out of danger and there is nothing to worry about."
