Ali Abbas Zafar's directorial 'Bharat' has been the talk of the town for two big reasons - Priyanka Chopra's comeback Hindi film after almost 2 years and the on-screen pairing of Salman Khan and Pee Cee after almost 14 years.
Recently, there were reports that Salman's alleged girlfriend Katrina Kaif has been taken on board for this film. However, now a report in Bollywood Life states that Kat is no longer a part of this big project. Initially, the makers were keen on having Katrina in the film and Kaif too was excited as the film is directed by her close friend Ali and also stars Salman as the lead. But, things are not falling into place.
A source informed BL, "The character that she was supposed to play isn't adding much of an importance to the story. So the makers decided to go against the character and drop it; instead of having a leading actress like Katrina sign up for a role and then regret doing it. It's a mutual decision between both Katrina and Team Bharat and it has all been finalised on an amicable note".
Fans of Salman and Katrina will now have to wait for a long time to watch their favourite pair on-screen again. On the work front, Katrina will next be seen in 'Zero' along with Shah Rukh Khan and Anushka Sharma in the lead roles. Zero releases on 21st December 2018.
