Debutant Janhvi Kapoor recently lost her superstar mother Sridevi in an unfortunate incident on 24th February2018. Sridevi who was in Dubai, on the night of 24th drowned in her hotel room's bathtub and took her last breathe while on her way to the hospital.
Since then, Sridevi's daughter Janhvi and Khushi Kapoor have been headstrong and are receiving all the love and support from the Kapoor family. Janhvi too is moving on in her own way and is awaiting the release of her debut film 'Dhadak'.
About Dhadak, Janhvi is on a promotional sphere with co-star Ishaan Khattar and in one of her interview with Mumbai Mirror, she revealed few candid chats between her late mother and her. Speaking about Sridevi had decided that her Bollywood journey will be hers alone, she expressed, "Both of us had consciously decided that this would be my own journey. Acting is the only thing I knew to do without her".
Janhvi had stunned us all when she reported on the sets of Dhadak merely after 20 days of her mother's demise. Shedding light on her this decision, she stated, "It was an organic decision. Surprisingly, the only thing I don't associate with work is mom".
Further, the debutant also expressed how losing her mother at a young age has been a terrible feeling for her. Talking about how the last months weren't easy for her, she said, "Working was the easy part, everything else was a struggle".
In the same interview, Janhvi also spoke about her first day on the sets of Dhadak and the presence of her parents Boney Kapoor and Sridevi. She shared, "It was my moment of truth and fortunately, it went smoothly. The first shot was okayed in one take. We had prepped so much that I wasn't nervous and felt like everything in my life had been building up to this moment".
