Film titles play a major role in attracting the audience's attention and some unique one's work out the best for the movie. One such eye-catching title is that of Saif Ali Khan's film 'Kaalakaandi' which hit the theatres today.
Ever since the movie was announced, everyone couldn't stop talking about the title and finding the meaning of the same. During his media interactions for his film Kaalakaandi, Saif was asked to describe the title to which he revealed the original title of the film.
Saif said, "At first it was titled 'Kaalagaandi'. Then somebody asked what does this mean? So people were like it means problem, then I said No, it means black bum. That's how we changed the title to Kaalakaandi which means Gadbad (problem)".
While speaking about this, Saif too couldn't control his laughter. Well anyone would laugh at the original title as it was indeed Hilarious. Wasn't it?
Kaalakaandi is a thrilling dark comedy which is a raucous tale about life, death, karma, that barrels through one monsoon night in Mumbai, talks about the journey of six characters from different walks of life. It stars Saif Ali Khan along with the eclectic ensemble of Deepak Dobriyal, Vijay Raaz, Kunaal Roy Kapur, Sobhita Dhulipala, Akshay Oberoi, Isha Talwar, Shenaz Treasury, Shivam Patil, Amyra Dastur, Nary Singh and Neil Bhoopalam.
Directed by debutant Akshat Verma, the film released today and has received mixed reviews yet. The critics are appreciating Saif's acting in the movie.
