"Kesari" was always going to be made, says Akshay Kumar...

"Kesari" is Akshay Kumar's one of the upcoming films.

Earlier this year reports about "Kesari" being helmed by Salman Khan and Karan Johar along with Akshay Kumar broke the internet. The news of the trio being a part of this project is what intrigued everyone.

However, in July it was reported that Salman Khan has backed out from this film which turned as a shocker for many. While, Salman did make the fans calm by his tweet, "Don't follow rumours. follow me... ek baar jo maine commitment kar di toh phir very much doing the film with @akshaykumar."

But, the rumors soon came out to be true when Karan's production house, Dharma Productions announced, "Akshay Kumar and Karan Johar proudly present Kesari based on one of the bravest battles fought in India The Battle of Saragarhi Directed by Anurag Singh and starring Akshay Kumar Releasing Holi 2019."

Today at an inauguration event, when Akshay was asked if Kesari is being made he replied, "Yes, Kesari is being made. There was never like it is never going to be made. I am starting the shoot of the film in January (2018). The continuous shooting of the film will be held after the release of "Padman".

However, very smartly and politely Akshay said, "Only me and Karan are there now" when asked about the sudden decision of Salman backing out from this film. However, he was again quipped about the reason and he said, "Yes but, it couldn't happen so, now I and Karan are doing (this film)."

While Akshay Kumar did not give any reason to the questions but, in recent interviews when Salman was asked about the same he had stated, "Karan has his home production and I have mine. He had come to me long back with the project, but he did all the work from casting to everything. I thought just adding my name was not right."
